  1. Some girls do good things. I know some girls have done some nice things for me, and yet, they could still make a terrible wife or gf. This friend of yours was clearly attracted to the guy she helped out financially. This does happen, particularly with older women who have money. But these women tend not to be very attractive.
  2. You're paying for her, no matter what you say. Unless she's ugly as sin, inherited a fortune, became independently wealthy, and none of those are very likely. It's funny how many guys claim they don't pay for their girl, and when you scratch the surface only a little, they actually do, like everyone else.
  3. I suppose if you're born into tremendous privilege anything that money can buy is a daily request away, then sexual perversion can become rather interesting. They're probably bored of ATV rides in the country.
  4. Of course not, it's not as if women of other nationalities are not prone to cheateing. It's funny with the Filipinas, because all the guys think they are giving them a unique experience by taking them to 5 star resorts, but she's already done that with 4 guys before you. This Filipina I knew had been to more 5 star resorts, Disneyworlds, and world class restaurants than I had, and I was a funds lawyer who'd been all over. It's nothing special to them, they did it with many guys before you. I do hope the Krabi girls are more faithful, would be nice.
  5. No, no, if you think about it monogamy depends on fidelity. And monogamy is the foundation of civilzation as it is the basis for the family unit. We men invented monogamy because fighting it out to the death for sexual access was an inefficient and expensive method to gain sexual access. Soon men figured out that provision of resources can secure sexual access. But it was useless unless you could be sure the offpsring is yours, because if it wasn't you'd have wasted all your resources. So men came up with fidelity as a cornerstone of monogamy. This predated the concept of loyalty which the knights developed by a long shot. So it significantly pre-dated the Victorian era. To this day fidelity, trust and loyalty are the foundations of any relationship, without trust there can be no true relationship.
  6. He looks very impressive. I think Silat is a very underestimated martial art. They also incorporate sparring in a serious way, which is why they are so good I think. When I met that Pencak Silat master he did some very impressive things. Yes,. there are different Silat styles, there is one in Southern Thailand as well, but the only one I saw was Pencak Silat, which was quite effective and impressive.
  7. So true. We never own them. We call them "our" girl, but they do what they want. It's scandalous. I blame feminism.
  8. We really don't do we? We'd do any man dirty, if the girl is attractive. We are shameful bounders. And we sacrifice the women just as easily. It's like Napoleon said, in war and love, all's fair.
  9. The US is too much of a financial risk, so you put your money in the Cayman Islands, BVI or Panama? Are you for real?
  10. I kind of have to take issue with you on that, old chap. Fidelity is the foundation of civilization, male female relationships without fidelity, trust and loyalty, are not worth the paper they're written on. Yes, the attitude to sex is devoid of much of the moralist layering which exists in the West, that's true. Yes, I accept that, indeed Thai men are like this, and they do that to Thai men too. You dirty dog, you have no consideration for your fellow man???
  11. Yes, to be fair, we should probably also mention that Thai men are not faithful, so women leading the infidelity charts jives with how they are treated by local men. True. I also think the sheer number of girls who are palmed off by mother to the grandmother, because mother has to work, who do not see a proper male/female dynamic ever, probably plays a role.
  12. You might as well have studied Origami, which is probably just as useful in a real fight as Jeet Kune Do. Don't rely on it in real life, for your own sake. Carruthers would "rip" nobody's head off, not in 30 minutes not in 30 hours, he' s an old man. As the substantially younger man I would easily defeat him. But then this blind belief in the "master" is typical of Kung Fu, Wing Chun and Wushu and JKD. The guys that Xu Xiaodong defeated in under 2 minutes also had 80000 blind followers. Me, I trust evidence.
  13. Well, the knightly tradition and values did not appear in Thailand, it's purely a European phenomenon, loyalty does not appear to be a celebrated value in Thailand. integrity seems to be a completely unknown value in Thailand, do correct me if I'm wrong. I think the poverty itself compels women to always look for the better deal, and to be more mercernary still than women already are. It's probably not coincidence that the infidelity chart is led by some of the poorest countries in Africa. It also seems that women in SE Asia are more sensual, more open to sexual intercourse, than those in the West. There is an innocence about sex that was lost a long time ago in the West. And yes, I take the point that a whole number of East European, Scandi, Anglo and German, Australian and US players taking advantage of the women for sex has an impact on their behaviour too, sure.
  14. Gold is the most sensible long term investment, just judging by past performance.
  15. Women from Thailand are ranked the world's second most unfaithul lovers, according to the survey report. https://www.bangkokpost.com/world/309732/thai-women-ranks-no-2-in-infidelity#google_vignette The most unfaithful btw were Ghanian women. So poverty in no way stops women from cheating. I would say it's the opposite, the poverty impels Thai women to alway seek the better option. Thai women are more devious, more adept at lying and more underhand than most women, except possibly Filipinas.
  16. So how come Thai women are world leaders in cheating?
  17. Good to see a smart man like Robert Kennedy Jr is taking the issue of food safety seriously. I would expect nothing less from a Donald Trump appointee than above average competence.
  18. So we were right all along, the foreign aid was a colossal waste of money. Okay, good to know.
  19. I repeat, Bruce Lee was not just pretending to be a movie fighrter, he pretended in real life that he was a fighting savant and went so far as to concoct his own, totally ineffectual, martial art, based on false premises.
  20. You make a good point. There are limits to realism in training. However, clearly a martial art where sparring with an aggressive non-compliant partner is the norm, like with Boxing, Muay Thai etc, is closer to real fighting than a martial art where only compliant pupils gently jab at each other to learn technique, as is the case in Wing Chun, Wushu, JKD, Taekwondo or Aikido. So yes, whilst there are limits to realism in training, some arts train more real than others, and it is these arts that, unsurprisingly, prevail in the Octagon.
  21. Well that's why Bruce Lee was a fraud. Unlike Jackie Chan who sells himself as an actor, Bruce Lee sold himself as a true martial arts expert and fighter, he wanted to be seen not just as a make belief fighter, but as a real fighter and martial arts savant. He got away with it for decades because nobody knew any better. Now with MMA we know better. See below for an MMA fighter beating a Kung Fu master.
  22. In a typical MMA fight you would see initial jabbing, punching, with a few kicks thrown in, followed by a take down, grappling and wrestling. So yes, Karate is useful in that striking, punching and kicking form an integral part of real fight and many MMA fighters have trained in Karate and shown its effectiveness. But that applies only for some styles of Karate, some are very useful and known to be realistic, like Kyokushinkai, whereas others are almost Kung Fu like in their elaborate flourishes which they indeed acknowledge came from Kung Fu.
  23. Well, exactly, that's why Mike Tyson was the real deal, because he did put it on the line every time in real life, and fought aggressive sparring partners who were non-compliant. All these "arts" like Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, Taekwondo etc, they have elaborate philosophy, systems and such, but what they don't have is regular sparring against a non-compliant aggressive adversary. So what Tyson said is exactly right. Xu Xiaodong fought Wei Leii, a Kung Fu master, and beat him in less than 20 seconds. The fight went viral on Chinese social media. Tai Chi master Ma Baugou was due to fight Xu Xiaodong, but himself called police to stop the fight from starting. Xu Xiaodong also fought Tai Chi master Chen Yong and defeated him in less than 20 seconds. Video here: Xu Xiaodong faught a significant number of Chinese Kung Fu masters and Tai Chi masters. However, he has faced significant hurdles, for instance he was sued in court and had to pay 40000 USD because he tarnished the reputaiton of a Kung Fu master, and this lowered his credit score. Chinese social media deleted him and he was unable to make money to attend fights due to the blowback in China against his exposing traditional chinese King Fu masters as frauds.
  24. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is a great movie, as is Kung Fu Hustle, IP Man 1...and yes Wushu looks great on film. But...just take a look at what happens when a Kung Fu master faces a medicore MMA fighter. This is real life, not the movies:
  25. So you do pay for her, thanks for clarifying. That's what I thought.
