Europe remains the key to Britain’s future economic success
Looks like it was France that saved the City of London, as they feared Germany more than the UK: "The EU could have used its regulatory powers to shift the business inside its own borders, and kill a lucrative chunk of the City’s business. London’s rivals hoped that, once ‘clearing’ moved to a different city, there would be a powerful incentive for banks and brokers to follow suit. As it turns out, however, while some trades will have to be transferred to EU clearing houses, the bulk of them will be allowed to stay in London. The French, somewhat unexpectedly, sided with the UK because they were worried that, if the business moved, it would go to Frankfurt rather than Paris. That would make the German city, already home to the European Central Bank, the key hub for the whole of the continent. It turns out that France may well fear Germany more than it hates Brexit: even helping the British was better than allowing its neighbour to claim power over the bloc’s clearing houses. Europe remains the key to Britain’s future economic success
Europe, following Brexit, could have completely destroyed the City of London as a viable financial market place, but instead showed major leniency, allowing equivalence of rules to prevail. Why Frankfurt and Paris did not take the chance to destroy London as a competitor is a mystery.

meeting a lady that doesn't need your money
It won't hurt and can give you a way in, if you can establish a connection and it lasts, before long she may decide not to want to lose you. However, that is not a substitute for a girl who has true, burning desire for you, whose archetype you fulfill and she is crazy about you. That can only come from her, that's true. Good point, but there are differences between women and men. Through all the commonality we need to understand those differences too.

meeting a lady that doesn't need your money
I think in essence it's the same for men and women, women go on the c**k carousel until they're 30 and then settle down with one guy because they know it'll be too late for children otherwise, and men start to spin plates in their 30s, 40s and 50s, when they are financially able to and can attract good looking women. However, both are always open to that one person who can reach parts others can't reach, IF they are convinced they can't do better than them. But these people don't come along very often.

I meant with attractive women obviously.

meeting a lady that doesn't need your money
This is what I found as well. Men are the romantics. Women are the materialists.

No, you can't buy love. But you can buy attraction, fashionable clothes, good haircut, nice cologne, provided the base material is not Quasimodo country obviously. Also you can create attraction by your actions, in fact as soon as she realises you're into her that will create some attraction if you meet her base threshhold. Loyalty and honesty. Love cannot exist where there is no trust. So you have to be able to trust her. Obviously good looks I take for granted, attraction is a sine qua non. Then she has to enjoy sex, and be willing to do some of the unusual things I like to do. A bit of fun and light hearted nature is a plus. Ideally she likes similar things to me, but you probably have to compromise on that. She has to be someone who can be led. Some women think they are smarter than you, when they are in fact idiots, they cannot be led. That's a problem. Basically she can't become a problem, no depression, no family issues, no neurosis of any kind. Someone healthy please in body and mind.

They found a prostitute in Thailand!
Well, once they pay for hiring the donkey there's not much profit left I guess.

Why do Thai people ignore Foreigners when they are speaking and begin speaking over them, interrupting them?
This is extremely annoying. I get this all the time in Thai restaurants, when I'm with a Thai girl the Thai waitress ignores me as if I don't exist and starts talking to the Thai gf. I asked the Thai gf multiple times to tell the waitress to talk to me, not a chance. The only option is learning Thai.

Low IQ democracy
It was exactly the same in San Sai, 5.30 am, 6 am. They know no shame. From now on I also check first thing if there are monastery speakers in the street.

Low IQ democracy
I also get annoyed by these trucks with loudspeakers. It's the shamelessness to think they're so important they can drive around bothering everyone with their bs. I actually thought of confronting one of the drivers, but thought the better of it since I don't want my visa cancelled and the guy is just a tool anyway. In 2019 I: had the misfortune to rent a dream house located in San Sai, there were loudspeakers down the road. Every morning this infernal monastery would blast some monk telling you some useless crap. I feel blessed to be in the Mooban I'm in where the only problem is a grandma speaking at the top of her lungs every morning.

Trump Issues Stark Warning to Iran: 'We Can Blow Them Up Nicely or Viciously'
In terms of nominal GDP, the United States has a significantly larger economy than Iran. In 2025, the US GDP is estimated at $30.507 trillion, while Iran's is $463.747 billion. This means the US economy is roughly 66 times larger than Iran's in nominal terms. So between the US and Iran, it is Iran that has the deep pockets?

The ones who rent the beach beds? I think it's 200 Baht per hour. No special services.

Financial markets and China customs duties
The link between the S&P Index and Gold is often debated. Whilst the general view is that there is a negative correspondence, ie when the SP goes up Gold goes down, the opposite has also been known to happen. For instance in the Corona virus crash, both tanked in tandem. So whilst it's often true that a negative correspondence exists, this is not always the case. It depends on macro economic factors. In short the market is not fully predictable.

UK passport checking
If you're concerned whether you spelled your name correctly you can check the main page of your passport. It's the first page. Check for your first name, it should be under there.

They found a prostitute in Thailand!
Indeed "Her online profile advertised services at US$600/hour". So the Bangkok Post is tastefully keeping the services she listed for 600 USD an hour unspoken. Journalists are so infuriating. What could it be?

American Cardinal Robert Prevost Elected Pope Leo XIV
Why would he come out against self-defence? Doesn't even make sense.

They found a prostitute in Thailand!
She doesn't look Russian, she does look Uzbek. Uzbek women also feature heavily in bestiality porn. I once read in a research paper in gender studies.

American Cardinal Robert Prevost Elected Pope Leo XIV
Of course, how could one not side with the oppressed, whose land is stolen mercilessly. When given the choice between a government that has murdering children as official state policy and the victims of landtheft, only a heartless monster or a moron would opt for the childkillers.

American Cardinal Robert Prevost Elected Pope Leo XIV
Let's hope he comes out strongly against the brutal occupation of Palestinians and Israel's killing of children in Palestine.

They found a prostitute in Thailand!
So quite a bit below the 11000. I wonder what a hooker has to do to be able to charge 11000 an hour. Lol.
-
They found a prostitute in Thailand!
I don't believe a word from these hookers. They just tell the cops that, so they don't look cheap. What woman wants to admit she sells her soul for 1500 Baht an hour?

11000 Baht per hour? So she offered some very bespoke services then? Hmmmmm....

Trump Hails 'Full and Comprehensive' Trade Deal with UK Amid Modest Economic Expectations
'Can I pay tribute, Donald, to your negotiating team,' he began. And 'I want to thank you for your leadership, Donald. I'm really pleased. It feels really historic. Really good to talk. Tribute to your leadership.' Keir Starmer is an astute operator, he knew his only chance was to roll over and have his belly tickled by Trump and lick his cheeks, and Starmer did so unashamedly and with gusto. Good work Labour!
