  1. That's a fair point. Obviously these sources have to be unnamed because there is a code of conduct among special forces soldiers, and if the real name of the accuser comes out they would face substantial consequences such as ostracism, personal attacks and similar. However, this allegation will no doubt be investigated by the British courts, who will then establish the identiy of this UK soldier. I do trust the British courts fully to establish the actual course of events.
  2. So you never paid for her housing, her food, holidays, her medical treatment, her shoppping... Nothing?
  3. So we have the scenario of former UK soldiers saying they saw their fellow UK soldiers killing a handcuffed child, and then we have the scenario of former UK soldiers claiming their own fellow soldiers killed a handcuffed child because they are "mentally damaged" or "hold a grudge against the armed forces". Hmmmm, yah, real hard to decide which is more likely here. Just using Occam's razor it's obvious. Obviously this happened. Special forces soldiers don't denounce their comrades, unless something really off happened. Which it clearly did here.
  4. Do you think special forces soldiers make a habit out of calling out their own fellow comrades for shooting children dead that are handcuffed? I doubt it. If these soldiers say this happened, then it did happen. The fact that even now people claim this is just "hearsay" after witnesses from the UK's own special armed forces came forward to say they saw it just shows how much soldiers must get away with it normally. The usual course of action would likely be that the victim's family calls the crime out, only for the armed forces to deny it, and nobody ever believes it happened. Even now with witness reports from actual special forces soldiers who were there saying "we saw this", some people out of tribal loyalty want to white wash it as "hearsay". Imagine how often the victims would have made the allegation WITHOUT UK soldiers supporting it and the crime therefore went unpunished.
  5. I was once in a train very late at night in the UK. A group of hoodlums came romaing down the aisle accosting the women and passengers. When they came to me the first thing he said was "How did you get those scars?". I have 3 scars around my eyes from some childhood mishaps. I said "Sometimes I get crazy and fights end up badly". They swiftly moved on and left me in peace. Lol.
  6. Well, Bruce Lee certainly wasn't the killer that he made himself out to be in his movies. He was an actor, a "pretend" fighter. Wushu in fact is much like this, a lot of flourishes of flashy visuals but close to zero effectiveness in fightinng in real life. Now was Bruce Lee someone who trained really hard, yes he was. In fact he injured his back very badly training with weights. Whether that was to maintain his chiselled physique for the movies and the ladies (this was a guy who was vain enough to get circumised as an adult) or whether it was for his martial art, he certainly was training very hard. To the point that he was actually a physical wreck later in life and needed medication just to function. His martial art however Chinese Kung Fu is one of the least efffective martial arts there is. To his credit he seemed to sense this was the case and tried to abandon traditional bs Kung Fu and tried to incorporate Boxing and other non Kung Fu styles into Jeet Kune Do, but this mish mash of styles is still largely based on Chinese Kung Fu and basically ineffective. In Tao of Jeet Kune Do Bruce Lee writes about Muay Thai techniques and claims low kicks are ineffectual, he clearly had very limited experience of real fights, as this statement is just plain wrong. Was Bruce Lee a "real" martial artist? He was a real master in Chinese Kung Fu, he did train hard, he was fast, but he certainly would not last 2 minutes in an MMA fight today, or against any boxer at his time. He has been massively overhyped and overestimated.
  7. It was most likely because he believed Bruce Lee's legend was built on fraud. He wanted to call out Bruce Lee for being the fraud that he actually was. To be sure any trained boxer at the time Sugar Ray Robinson, Cassius Clay, Sugar Ray Leonard, any of them would have annihilated Bruce Lee. At first I also thought Tarantino was being disrespectful, but actually he was just calling out the emperor with no clothes, it was perfectly legitimate. Muahammad Ali WOULD have crushed Bruce Lee.
  8. It's about technique and knowledge thereof. Not fighting prowess or size. Witness the great Akebono, whom some consider the best Sumo fighter of all time, and giant of a man, being submitted by an MMA fighter a fraction of the size of Akebono.
  9. Well, that's precisely not the case. The best Kung Fu masters in China are currently being destroyed in under 2 minutes by a a below average MMA fighter. You could be the best Jeet Kune Do, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Aikido, Krav Maga or Sumo fighter in the world, a middle of the road MMA fighter would defeat you. In fact this happened to all time Sumo great Akebono, who some claimed was the best there ever was. He was easily defeated by an MMA fighter.
  10. Yes, very dangerous according to news reports https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=466257020537158
  11. Indeed, and as these were seasoned special forces soldiers who fought in Afghanistan and knew the fighting age of combatants there, ie that the Taliban did have 16 year olds fighting, very clearly that boy must have been much younger than 16. Because they made a special point to say "clearly" not of fighting age. So anyhing from 8,9,10 or 11 is probable. Not just that he was extremely young, but he was handcuffed and they shot a defenseless child basically. That's just incredible.
  12. That was Miyagi San in Karate Kid. Such a great movie. That's nothing compared to what Chinese Kung Fu masters claimed to be able to do. "Wei boasted of using an invisible force field to keep a dove on his hand, and pulverizing a watermelon’s innards without damaging its skin. The idea that masters of kung fu achieve mystical skills is widely accepted in China; Wei is just one of many making such claims. A quick glance on YouTube reveals kung fu masters with claims of telekinesis and “shamanic dances that open up other realms of existence.” Some make money by promising to train others, and many have passionate disciples; the defeated Wei, for example, has 94,000 followers on China’s Twitter-like microblog Weibo." https://time.com/5448811/mma-kung-fu-xu-xiaodong/
  13. No. It could not have been 16, the witnesses said he was clearly not of fighting age. So definitely not 16. He was too young to fight. So it would have to be 8 or 9. Perhaps 10 or 11 tops.
  14. So this boy would have been what, 8 or 9 years old? They shot an 8 year old boy? That's almost unbelievable.
  15. I don't know how much police are willing to fight for you, when I asked them to prosecute the 304 who took my 20000 baht out of my wallet the police were about as useful as a love vow from a Pattaya bar girl.
  16. That's absolutely disgusting. So much for the supposed codes of honour of these special fighting forces.
  17. Best option : Get a safe entry agency. You pay 5000 baht, but you have no issues.
  18. Judo is highly effective, particularly for grappling on the floor and is used in MMA. Kung Fu does purport to be effective against weapons, which is why it is so dangerous to rely on Kung Fu, because if you trust your Kung Fu techniques will help you prevail in a knife fight you will probably die.
  19. I think I do, he's 66 his "hitting power" must be akin to a 15 year old girl now. Mike Tyson too was a pro boxer before. Perhaps the best that ever was. Yet look how pitifully he got his a$$ kicked by a nobody like Paul Logan. And Tyson's only 58, Carruthers who was a nobody in boxing is 66! I trained full contact Karate since 1990. Wayne Otto was my teacher. He has 9 world championships and an OBE and a 5th Dan. Apart from Uechi-Ryu Karate I also hold belts in Bujinkai Karate. I would not feel comfortable taking on Carruthers as I'd probably injure him since he's 66 years old.
  20. Yes, it's funny how all these great victories by Bruce Lee in real life are only recounted by his pals. Nobody ever filmed them. No evidence apart from hearsay. Nothing.
  21. Please, it'd be Mike Tyson vs Paul Logan all over again. Carruther is an old man, he's 66, almost 70. I'm 13 years younger. Yah, I'm sure, and Bruce Lee had an invisible punch. Against a compliant guy sitting in a chair. Lol. So much bs from all these Kung Fu and JKD people.
  22. The Tao of Jeet Kune Do Bruce Lee makes some very shallow observations about Muay Thai which show he had very little exposure to this discipline.. For instance he wrote that low kicks would be useless against a moving target, which is clearly wrong.
  23. Yes, Bruce Lee's pretend fighting and make belief for the movies was useful in that it popularised the existence of martial arts, but there was and still is a lot of fraud. I thought Tarantino was being disrespectful in satirising Bruce Lee, but he was spot on. Muhammad Ali would have killed him.
  24. Cartuthers is an old man now, I would be afraid to kill him accidentally. You can see him in action here, with the usual disappointing compliant sparring partner. Jeet Kune Do, like Wing Chun and Wushu does not have real sparring against aggresive non-compliant opponents. Hence, JKD, like Kung Fu, Wushu, and Wing Chun is useless, purely Vaudeville. https://www.jkd.com.sg/tommy-carruthers-singapore/
  25. Jet Li is a Wushu practitioner. Like Bruce Lee, Jet Li is a total fraud. Wushu is completely useless in a real fight. Both Bruce Lee and Jet Li are liked trained monkeys pushing coloured lanterns around. Their nonsense would get them killed in real life.
