The continued burning in Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia would indeed continue to degrade air quality during burning season. So given the fact that Thailand's enforcement would be expensive, but would not result in the removal of the burning season issue by any stretch of the imagination it is in fact rational for Thailand to minimise the cost of enforcement. Why waste resources on a problem which Thailand cannot solve alone? It would be stupid for Thais to expend great cost in eliminating burning on their territory whilst Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar merrily burn away, and continue to cause the issue we have every year.

The United States is richer than God. It can not only sustain a military operation, it has done so dozens of times in the past and continued to prosper. To defeat a tiny province like Denmark would be almost negligible in terms of cost. In fact much like in WWII Denmark would probably roll over without a fight,. Mexico has a rich culture which does not fit the American mould, Greenland has none of that. It would be a perfect territory to annex. You don't seriously believe Britain or France would oppose the US, neither of those countries would risk nuclear destruction over Denmark. Denmark would make America bleed? Maybe like a mosquito makes you bleed. The US should just take Greenland. Why not do it?

Why get upset about it? Even if Thailand had 100% enforcement, the burning from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar would still ensure the burning season would make the air quality worse. Thailand cannot stop the burning issue alone.

I continued to build pipleline before the trip. I met a girl in Chiang May that was 25 and into self improvement. But there was no improving her average looks, a 5 at best, she wore braces to boot, her passable body not withstanding. Nice enough girl though, she spoke good English and it was a pleasant outing. Meeting Miki again So I had to go to Bangkok and Pattaya for business again. Naturally I wanted Miki to meet me again. The only snag, we had a bit of an argument. She had missed the 60 minute deadline I set for updates. She legitimately was just working on her dress business, but I wanted to drill home the importance of her keeping me updated. I did so in a somewhat overly tyrannical way, and she broke up with me. It took 2 days of waiting, and making contact again to even get her to talk. Eventuallly, she agreed to meet me. I was in the bus to BKK (I still don't have my passport) and because I arrived at 11.30 pm Miki refused to come out to the Hotel and spend the night. She was in bed already and still upset about the argument we had. She agreed to come the next day at 6 pm. She was again working on her dresses all day and showed up at 9 pm. Didn't bother to shower, to dress nice, nothing. But at least she came. I could not get angry. I took her to the best restaurant in the area and we rebuilt intimacy. No sex at night as we were both exhausted. We had agreed we would go to a temple and do photos, her idea, but we woke up so late, that was not going to happen. No morning sex either. We went to what is the best mall in Bangkok, Mega BangNa, far better than Siam Paragon and best of all almost no Farang. In the evening finally there was horizontal Olympics and Miki and I connected again. The next day we went to what is the best night market in Bangkok, Rod Fai Market. It was not busy at all which was wonderful. After a great dinner there we made it back home. Miki inisted on taking the green bus for 10 Baht and the MRT, she saved me good money and navigated expertly. Some more contact sports ensued at night. We talked about our future and it became clear that Miki really intended to come back to Chiang Mai with me. She talked about buying a house with me and our future generally. Unbelievable her clothing business is already taking off. She found a buyer that made a large order and she makes more money now making clothes than she did in the factory. The next day a lot of time was wasted with me waiting for the passport. We went to Central in Bang Na which is a terrible mall by Thailand standards. I left on Friday and Miki and I had rekindled our relationship nicely. All in all the trip went fine. There was only one small moment of panic when Raya said she was in front of my hotel, about one hour before Miki was supposed to arrive. I went out. She wasn't there. She was bluffing and I don't think she was in Bangkok at all. Just wanted to check if I would be happy to see her as she could sense I was busy with someone else most likely. Anyway, I had had enough of possessive Raya, and ignored her mostly during the trip. She blew up my phone again on the weekend and wants to meet tomorrow.

I have been the adorer. I was the adored. But never at the same time. At the moment I am the adored, with Raya buying me an expensive phone and declaring she's so in love with me she's lost control, but I'm also the adorer with Miki showing her usual disdain for me with me still doing everything to please her. This has made me think. Both roles have their advantages, as the adorer you get to be in love and taste that emotion to the fullest. As the adored you have the power and decide. There are also disadvantages to both roles. As the adored you don't really get to be with the person you love. You don't get to experience love fully. Another pointless communist step dance nobody needs. So many Spanish communities are dying, thanks to communist mismanagement, nobody needs crayz taxation on buyers, except communists to feed their voting base. You would have to be insane to buy a house in Spain anyway though, Spain is riddled with crime, African immigration and indigenous corruption. Taxation is ridiculous already, but pensions are great. I'm actually excited to see Raya. She's my first hi-so Thai girl, rich family, intelligent. Obviously the sex won't be great as she's a virgin, but just the interaction with a high class girl will be a nice change after the 711, factory chicks. She said she will buy me a mobile phone, after I told her my phoned died when I disappeared for 20 minutes. Imagine that. Oh I'll know. I've had bona fide virgins before. But Raya had a rough night, said she didn't sleep all night, her mother has serious health problems. And of course going MIA on her yesterday she even wanted to break up until a bit of verbal jiu jitsu resulted in her confessing she was in love with me and just needed time because she was exhausted. It's also not a good idea to date Chinese tourists. They're basically travel hedonists and it's hard to get them to go where you want because they have all these destinations they want to see. Her life has been reduced to non-stop work now in her aunt's clothing business. I reminded her how easy and relaxed life was when she was living with me. Naturally since Raya flaked, albeit with a good excuse, and it seemed there was no date with her I gave another girl a chance. Yuyu is a spectacular Chinese woman built like volleyball player and she and I agreed to go to a top restaurant. She arrived early, despite a late reservation I was able to get a table anyway. We hit Saturday Walking street and then cool bar where we really connected. But she has not been in rel for 4 years and a hug and kiss was all I got for my troubles. But Raya cottoned on to the fact I was unvailable. I blamed an urgent work issue, but her instincts told her otherwise, she kept calling and texting and of course I could not take the call. Now, she may be so mad the date tomorrow at 4 pm could be off. A big fail on my part. I risked a sure thing with Raya for a speculative thing with Yuyu, only because she was Chinese and I have a thing for Chinese gals. Hopefull I can turn it around with Raya tomorrow and the deflowering can happen on schedule. Miki was mostly fine, though also questioning why I have so much work suddenly, but generally no issue.

You have missed the point. SHE cheated. She dated two other guys whilst talking about getting back together with me. So SHE started the seeing other people part. The good news, I have lucked out and connected with a 24 year old Thai girl that is rich, owns a farm with 40 employees and has a rich father. I was just on Walking Street a few days ago and there was nothing, no fights, nobody accosted me, not even the prostitutes standing outside the venues, I was quite disappointed. A very tame street. Walking street felt more like a touristy road in Spain, Magalluf maybe, apart from the menus they thrust in your face. If anyone in Pattaya again boasts on here about the quality of women in Pattaya I will just laugh in their face though, the working girls were just as old and unappealing as in Chiang Mai. Return to Chiang Mai As I headed back to Chiang Mai I got a text from Miki saying that I was still doing things that made her uncomfortable. So I asked her what she meant. She raised the incident in Pattaya when her mother ruined our night by insisting Miki go home to help with moving and I had suggested perhaps mother should get better at planning her moving schedule. "I saw how the man I loved made fun of my mother and my family and I realised I can't be with that man". So I asked her if that meant she was not coming back in March now. She said "No I just want you to stop talking harshly with me". Even though I insisted that I had cut my Pattaya holiday short specifically for her family, went to their family dinner, none of that made any difference. I had spoken harshly about her mother, the selfish rotten exploitative bitch. Anyway, much worse was to come. Of course Miki's money grabbing sister decided to go to Mookata before she left. Miki updated me fantastically, sending videos and photos and texts non-stop. Then she got home. I called her. She was short and said she'd have to go to laundry and shower. I did not hear from her for two hours and it was midnight. I knew she had to work the next day and get up at 4.15 am. So not knowing if she went out or just to bed without saying a word I texted asking if she was still doing laundry. She called me and I declined the call. She said she did laundry and left her phone charging at home. We had an argument and I reminded her that I need her to make sure I'm comfortable with her so she has to make sure I know where she is. After all she was dating other guys secretly behind my back. At that Miki replied that now she knows she cannot be with me, because I cannot forget what she did and it hurt her so much every time I talk about it. So a bit like someone cutting off your legs and then telling you you can't hurt them, considering what she did. Anyway, I told her she is still withholding the truth from me, not telling me the names of the guys she betrayed me with, and only if I know the truth could I let it go. That I needed her to be honest and open, and to update me. So she suggested it's better that we break up. So I said fine, up to you. Just now I got a text sayiing she got fired from her job because she took too many days off over Christmas, and of course she blames me. But we're arranging when she comes back to Chiang Mai now. New Year in Bangkok We got up at around 7 and I researched the best restaurant in our area. And this really was a fanastic place, superb food and service, even if it was a mass restaurant in the Chinese style. We ate well and headed back to the hotel. Rather than make love Miki wanted to watch a movie on my laptop. Part of the punishment for refusing to agree to yet ANOTHER family dinner the next day. The family said they weren't doing anything for new year and if I could join them all for dinner the next day. Given the previous dinner I declined. I wanted to spend time with Miki alone. The next morning I wanted to eat breakfast at this great bakery cafe, but I made the misake of not calling ahead. Turned out they'd closed for Christmas. So instead we headed straight to Icon Siam. A long trip to get there, and when we finally did it turned out to be one of the worst malls I'd ever seen. The food stalls were so crammed with people and there was far too little sitting space for all the people. Poor Miki got a noodle soup and had to carry the hot plate for 30 minutes until we finally secured a table. I got a cheese roti and regretted my decision to go to Icon Siam. Miki was not enjoying Icon Siam at all. We went to see Gladiator 2 in the cinema at her request. Going back meant queuing up like for a Michael Jackson concert, the mass of people was unbelievable. We got the tickets and went to Asiatique. This was even worse. A tourist trap that was so overpriced it was ridiculous. At least the lunch was decent and eatable. But we quickly took a taxi back home. We stocked up with supplies of kanom at 711 and hit the bed. I was coming down with a terrible sinus cold thanks to getting up at 4.15 am and probably some virus. Miki also got it later and blamed me for it. We again watched a movie on the laptop, far too exhausted for anything else. The next morning we went to True Digital Mall for breakfast. A really nice new mall. Got a Pretzel for breakfast but Miki wanted Som Tum. As we sat there she noticed something. Miki got up and retrieved 4200 baht in a clip from the floor. She went straight to information to hand the cash in. I tried to stop her and said "just take the money, it's yours, you found it. Finder's keepers". She shook her head, and said "No, I'm good person, besides there are cameras". No amount of arguing how useless Thai police are could change her mind. She made a big deal of how good a person she was to hand in the money. I said "Yeah, you don't want to hurt the feelings of the total stranger who lost the 4200 Baht, but when it comes to cheating on me and <deleted> another guy secretly for 7 days in Phuket, you have no problem with that, good person". She didn't take it well. We just went back to the hotel. At least we had great sex, despite both of us having colds. It was time for dinner. I had scoped a place called Lay Lao, supposedly one of the best Isaan food places, specifically for her. In the end we had to take a long trip on BTS and as we came out of the Skywalk I went down and noticed Miki did not want to follow me but continue on the Skywalk. This really annoyed me, because I know a woman in love follows and notices her man. I got annoyed and told her just to follow me and stop arguing. She was right of course, the Skywalk would have been more comfortable, but anyway, we made it to Lay Lao. Only a terrible table was available. And the food was ordinary. Miki was sulking mostly due to the Skywalk incident. I told her after dinner I had to walk to a hotel where I'd stayed before to retrieve my expensive Barbour jacket I forgot there. She hated the walking of course, but I was happy to get my jacket back. We were faced with a choice of going to CentralWorld and wait for two hours in a mass of people for fireworks or to go back to the Hotel room. We were both sick as parrots and opted for the latter. So we saw in the new year with Kraven the Hunter, some vodka blueberry and some great sex. The next day Miki was loving and sweet. But we decided to cancel our Rayong leg of the vacation and I just headed home at 2 pm. We left on very good terms.
