the full first paragraph of this thread (not the linked article) reads as follows...

"Police arrested a teenage couple after they murdered a Thai man on a road along an irrigation canal in the northern province of Chiang Mai." Therefore I still can't see the word allegedly that you're referring to.

I believe that the Burmese boys were encouraged to admit to murdering the British couple on Koh Tao, but there are a lot of people who don't believe that makes it true.

Are you insinuating a multiple stabbing attack is an iron clad defence they are not responsible for his death.

An 18 years old young man tragically lost his life in a motorbike accident on the new Chonburi Bridge, a popular tourist spot in Chonburi province.

The accident occurred at 11.30pm yesterday, when his motorbike hit a speed bump, causing him to lose control and crash. The young man, identified as Theerawat, was visiting the bridge for the first time with a friend, unfamiliar with the route.

Theerawat’s friend, who had accompanied him on the ill-fated trip, narrated the incident. They had travelled from Bang Saen to visit the new bridge for the first time. While his friend was enjoying the scenic view at a leisurely pace, Theerawat was speeding. Upon overtaking his friend, Theerawat encountered a speed bump, causing his motorbike to swerve and crash, resulting in fatal injuries.

Rescue workers from the Tri Khun Tham Foundation, who were first on the scene, discovered Theerawat lying lifeless next to his grey Vespa motorbike, 20 metres away from the speed bump.

That’s actually a SPEEDHUMP.   Different from a speed bump. Much larger about 6 ft wide.  I have one in front of my house. Many not paying attention driving moving trucks and pulling trailers hit it at speed.  I call mine a Thunderhump, because of the immense crash of flying commercial trucks landing on the other side. No shortage of warnings mine is not even painted.

    Hello everyone,

Me and 2 friends will arrive on 28 oktober via plane in Bangkok. We will only stay 3 weeks in the country in total, and as Belgian citizens we do not need a Visa in this case. However, we are supposed to prove we will leave the country within 30 days if we want to travel Visa free. Most people simply show their return flight ticket, but we dont have this since we will continue travelling to Laos. Does anyone know what we have to do (do we need a Visa after all or how can we prove we will leave the country on time?)

    Thanks everyone!!

Is Belgium not on the 64 countries list that can go to Thailand for 45 days visa free until the end of 2023

Maligned for rejecting an overweight customer due to breaking suspension, a food delivery driver has issued a heartfelt apology. Initially voicing his frustration by sharing images of a broken motorcycle shock absorber, attributing its damage to heavy passengers, his comments now sit at the heart of a heated online debate.

As reported, images appeared on the Red Skull Facebook page, taken from one of their drivers’ groups. The controversial post showed a woman customer alongside the broken motorcycle shock absorber. The delivery driver wrote, “This shock absorber has lasted three months. I paid 37 baht for it. Now, I’m left shaking. I get 37 baht for the ride, but I have to pay over a thousand to replace the shock absorber. If I see a heavy person, I am no longer accepting. Absolutely not!”

These remarks violated the sensibilities of many online, with netizens perceiving them as bullying and disrespectful of the overweight customer. The shared comment and photos increasingly painted the driver negatively, attacking his professionalism and empathy reported KhaoSod.

Taxi requires heavy duty suspension and brakes.  You can’t work with old cheap broken suspension and worn out brakes.

Ever since I have come back from Pattaya I have spent my non working days "decluttering"

I have gone over every drawer chucking out stuff I don't need

I have absolutely no idea why but I dreamed when I was in Pattaya that's the very first thing I will do when I get home to Australia

Even I didn't want to throw my old clothes out and I hesitated so I just threw it out the window on my level 32 balcony here in Sydney Australia ,I have no idea where it landed and I don't care ,it's out of my life !

My dream eventually is to sell up and move to a small 1  house in isaan in the country side  Thailand and have no clutter to live as a minimalist , not even a fridge

Just a mat on the floor , a small drawer and not even a tv

How many of you live in cluttered rooms full of junk

What else did you throw out the balcony? ????

A fracas erupted at Don Mueang International Airport as a foreign man attempted to assault a police officer with a skateboard, resulting in a significant online reaction. The skateboard incident occurred yesterday according to a video posted by TikTok user @angpao.cn.

The clip, which rapidly stirred up an online storm, shows a foreign national assumed to be of Asian descent arguing with a police officer. He tries to strike the officer with a skateboard repeatedly, with two other officers observing from nearby without intervening.

In response to the man’s aggression, the officer attempts to retaliate, unsuccessfully using his baton to counter the skateboard attacks. Nevertheless, the conflict isn’t de-escalated even when the two standing-by policemen try to mediate. The video ends there, leaving the cause of the dispute unclear and provoking a wave of online comments.

    One netizen said…

“I don’t understand why the two other officers didn’t do anything while their colleague was nearly assaulted.”

    Opinions please.

I recently retired and bought a run down house in Hua Hin that's been empty for 3+ years with a front patio that has great views of the nearby hills and overlooks the garden of the next door house that's further down the hill. I've been cleaning and painting the front of the house and patio area over the past few weeks. The middle aged foreign (seems Spanish) woman renting the house below mine sits out in her garden chain smoking and shouting into her phone for hours at a time which I can hear in every room of my house even with the windows closed, but there's not much I can do about that. She also lets her dog run wild around the neighbourhood and it's come into my garden and chased my cats several times when I've opened my gate to go out. The first time it happened she was walking nearby and I asked her if she could keep the dog in her garden. She said yes but it was back out again shortly after and every day since.

To try to cut a long story short, yesterday at 19:30pm she rang my doorbell on my front gate several times. I went outside and she started shouting at me through the gate that her young daughters don't want to go in their garden when there's a man above them on his patio. She then accused me of watching them and being a "pervert" and "pedophile" and that she was scared that I'd rape them. My Thai wife was in the doorway and heard this crazy woman defaming me.

I called her an idiot and asked her to stay away from my house. I could then hear her shouting on her phone for the next two hours telling numerous people that she had a pervert and pedophile living next door and was also asking them why her dog didn't have the right to roam around the neighbourhood when cats could do that.

She clearly has some serious mental health issues. How to proceed?

single person, 77 years old, living alone, no relatives (only friends)

have bank account in the US and in Thailand.

when I pass would like to donate money (whatever is left) to some friends and/or charity.

How can I set this up?

at the moment I have no idea how to get my account from the US to Thailand (working on this)

Account in Thailand, it is mainly about the 800.000 Baht that I deposited for my retirement visa.

should I make a last will? if yes, any suggestions how to?

where do I deposit my last will so that it will be found in case of sudden passing?

How can the beneficiary claim the 800.000 in my account?

so many questions. any advice is welcome, thank you.

I am trying to settle my estate and because of broken family I am seeing go problems with my online will I purchased. I have an executor. That may or may not be easy for you. I am trying to decide as a child from past marriage has an estate lawyer husband and I can see legal problems if i don’t get a lawyer involved. Remember. Everyone wants a piece of the dead whale. You could just give pieces hand to hand and no costs involved there or ask a lawyer but have a plan because they want $5 for a paper clip.
