  1. Maybe they've changed it so hotels can make more money?
  2. Hey, they didn't ask me for any proof of travelling back into Thailand. I think they just assumed from my Udon Thani hotel booking that I was crossing by land with a taxi to the border from Vientiane. They didn't ask anyone to provide flights out of Laos when I was there.
  3. Sorry, I submitted on Wednesday and got it back on Friday. Sorry for confusion. I got mixed up because I actually arrived in Vientiane on Tuesday but too late to submit
  4. Yes, very, very quiet. It was a relief when I saw how few people were there. Same when I picked up. That doesn't mean every day is like that though. I heard when I was there that Monday was to be avoided. The receptionist in my hotel told me that, anuyway.
  5. Not anymore. Now it takes 3 days. So if you submitted on a Monday, you pick up on Wednesday. I know it used to be pick up the day after submitting but I guess that has changed.
  6. Hi SAcannon, I submitted a print out of a one-way ticket out of Thailand within the 60-day limit as well as a hotel booking in Udon Thani for 3 nights, which I subsequently cancelled. Couldn't cancel the plane ticket but it wasn't much (1250 baht). As I mentioned, I didn't get questioned about any of my history and the 3-day hotel booking seemed to be enough.
  7. Hello, all. Quick update. First off, thanks for the responses I got to my original query on getting an SETV in Vientiane. I submitted all my stuff in Vientiane last Tuesday and got the visa on the Friday and then crossed by land back into Thailand. I had been in Thailand on exempts since Dec 2022, and without any actual days spent out of the country (just in and out on the same day – land and air) so was not sure if I would get one issued or I’d be let in, if I did. Anyway, there were no issues or questions. The only thing that happened was the IO that took all my docs on the Tuesday expressed his extreme annoyance that some were creased. Anyway, hope that helps for anyone in the same position. ALso, when I submitted my documents at opening time there on Tuesday, it was really dead. About 10 other people and me, that's it. Was in and out before I knew it.
  8. Thanks Caldera. I've booked 3 nights at a hotel in Udon Thani upon my return so I can visit a friend near there. Hope that's enough. Will update the forum on what happens.
  9. Hi all, I have an appointment at Vientiane tomorrow and want to know if a 3-day hotel booking in Thailand and proof of a flight out within 60 days will suffice to meet the itinerary requirements, or do they want to see hotel bookings for the entire stay?
  10. Incidentally, did you return via the border or by air?
  11. Many thanks, Simon. I will ask my landlord for copies
  12. Hmmm, my history has been back-to-back since 7 December 2022. Already done 2 land-border crossings as well. This is my first application for a 60-day visa though, the rest were fly-ins/exempt. I also just noticed that they have changed the processing times to 3 days. I remember it always being a 2-day affair. "2 days after submitting the application, e.g. Monday submission, Wednesday collection; Friday submission, Tuesday collection"
  13. I also just noticed that it now takes 3 days, instead of 2, to process an SETV "2 days after submitting the application, e.g. Monday submission, Wednesday collection; Friday submission, Tuesday collection"
  14. I just asked the very same question. I also want to find out if a bankbook (not printouts of bank statements) will suffice for proof adequate funds,
  15. Hey, Tim, yep, I saw this one earlier. I cant seem to find one that clarifies the acceptable format (printed statements or hard copy of bank book), or one from someone recent being asked to present an itinerary.
  16. Hi all, I've looked around some recent chatter on this but still could do with some confirmation from any recent experiences. The requirements state that you must provide "evidence of adequate finance". Do you think a Kasikorn bankbook will suffice or does it have to be statements printed off at the bank? It also say you must provide an itinerary to and from Thailand, including hotel booking or a letter from whom you'll be staying with and a signed copy of their ID. Is this second actually enforced? Travel itinerary to and from Thailand and accommodation e.g. plane/train/bus ticket, hotel booking, letter from whom you will be staying with and a signed copy of his/her ID

  18. Hello fellas, the TM30.io seemed to be ok but the fact is they didn't even ask for proof of it. I didn't get fined either, but they also didn't fine me for the visa having already expired on Sunday. I'm wondering if because the place was so packed (presumably due to the long holiday), they were just hurrying things along. Not sure. But all I paid was the 1900 for the extension. Took forever but it could have been worse had they hit me with the full force of the fines, or worse, demanded a screenshot of the TM30. Anyway, thanks for your input on this. Much appreciated.
  19. Hey thanks. I don't have a screenshot. Just a confirmation email sent by my landlord because it was from this site: https://tm30.io/ Not the actual immigration office site, which I was todl wasn't as fast or reliable. So, Ill I got was this message forwarded to my gmail account: This email is to confirm that we have successfully submitted the TM30 Form for:(My Name)Sincerely,Team of TM30.iohttps://tm30.io/
  20. Hi all, anyone know if fines for late TM30 have to be paid at CW before going to IT Square to extend a 30 day visa entry? Usually I take all the paperwork up from the landlord (always late) to CW first and then pay it there. After that I go to IT Square to extend. However, this time, the landlord did it online via TM30 io site so I'm not sure whether an initial trip to CW is necessary or if I will simply pay the fine at IT Square.
  21. How long did you wait for confirmation that it had been processed by the immigration office? My landlord did it yesterday (late) and sent me a screenshot confirming the registration was complete but it was awaiting some sort of confirmation.
  22. Hi Caldera, thanks for your response. By some time, do you mean about 24 hours or more like a few days? I don't know if my landlord has received any sort of confirmation as of yet. He went to S'pore to watch Tottenham and isn't responding to messages right now. Not surprising. I suppose I will have to wait until Wednesday to go to the IO.
  23. Hi all, my landlord sent me this screenshot saying he had finally done the TM30 online at https://tm30.io/faq , 3 and half weeks late, mind. I'm just wondering how long these things take to be processed and whether he will receive some confirmation that I'm good to go. Very annoying that the IO will be shut from tomorrow as well as early next week. If had confirmation that the TM30 has now been processed and I can go and get a visa extension, I'd go today.
  24. lol, yep, I thought so. I actually thought I may even get refused flying back in with a real tourist visa because I have effectively not spent a full day out of the country since arriving. I was concerned because someone I know who flew in on a 45-day twice, and more recently flew back in with a tourist visa (all back to back) was questioned the IO at the airport (I think DM) but finally allowed in, but according to her, the IO took some convincing.
