  1. Great stuff, Thesetat. I am delighted that so many of our contributors are 'media savvy' and can discern the forces running behind editorial shenanigans.
  2. Look at the language from this marketing genre : fantastic news enhancing the experience synergies between our platforms achieve new heights. enriching your experience I love the "achieve new heights" - I am sure we are all still dizzy from the last attempt at a digital Kanchenjunga.
  3. Yes. Some very good points!
  4. Hey! That's poetry!
  5. Would you use Roman numerals for atomic physics?
  6. I admire your patience!
  7. Just substitute 'Ukraine' for 'Vietnam' and share some happy memories!
  8. See? Thai cops are not all corrupt as often presented on this site. (The street cops often need endless patience.)
  9. Get better success in using these simplified versions of the whirly-gig Thai alphabet. Try leaving short complimentary notes on the breakfast table for your partner to reinforce your memory. Take it one step at a time. (Oh yes, it can only be done one step at a time! [groan] ) https://rapidlearnthai.com/understanding-thai-modern-fonts/#comment-884

  11. Me too. Have you ever wondered why these girls never seem to last more than a couple of months at seven? No sooner than you have established friendly relations - poof! - and they are gone.
  12. Sure. Alive is a good description. I saw combat in Saudi Arabia. And, boy, alive was the best description when it was over!
  13. I was astounded during my bus trip through Laos. So many hills looked like a shaved cat.
  14. CRINGE LIKE A TIRED HOOKER ON NANA PLAZA (?)
  15. Hopefully, no more life-size photos of Adolph Hitler (?)
  16. Right. Do your shopping at Macro around 6am. Stock up on milk and bread. Read a book and watch videos.
  17. One Songkran, I was hit on my m/c by a bucket of water that nearly knocked me of the bike. I stopped and, erm, fisticuffs was the result (plus a broken wristwatch). Ho hum.
  18. Anyone visiting Kino can see dozens of Thais browsing well-informed titles. It might be their only chance to get to know 'non-wonderful' history. Incidentally, sales of Orwell's 1984 skyrocketed in Russia, post-prohibition, and many are saying it could contribute to Putin's downfall. Here's hoping!
  19. Sixty years ago, I took a little yellow amphetamine for a technical drawing exam. I finished 45 minutes before anybody else and got a pass with honours. Some say it is the same for maths, but with English it can make you too confident. (Just passing through, folks.)
  20. Yep. I was in Moscow for a very short time and all the Russians there were very civil.
  21. Okay, time to see a few Russians who make a difference. One is my favourite Putin opponent, the very courageous Ekaterina Kotrikadze, journalist who lives in Ukraine.
  22. Right and we need to tell the difference.
