  1. When a Thai official tells you not to worry ,thats the time to start worrying.

If only they could be as upfront and totally honest & believable as the Greek officials ... uh, wait , umm the Spaniards ... well no, ... maybe all of the EEC financial officials working in concert ... ah bad choice ... Cameron, Merkel & Sarkosy ??? ha,ha,ha ... no, what about the US Federal Reserve and bank regulators there ... or maybe ...

Thailand has a long way to go to catch up to the "developed world" in terms of blantant dishonesty and rampant incompetence on the part of government officials and financial institutions as well as the total lack of trust felt for those institutions by the people they allegedly serve.

I dont know about a long way to go ,they are all as bad as each other, how do you know when a politician is lying ? his lips are moving.

  2. The tourism and sports minister just kicked off miracle Thailand year with a budget of 6 billion baht .

i should think the first miracle is to see how much is actually spent on promotion ,then the miracles are ,if you didnt drown in the floods ,if you were not scammed by the jet ski guys in Pattaya ,wonder what other "miracles" we will see?

  3. So for you guys that consider katoeys are desirable and attractive, I ask; what’s the attraction? Because it`s something that I’ve never been able to comprehend.

I think it depends if they come cut or uncut.

If they’re uncut the attraction is probably the anal sex she can give you which beats a girls finger or strap on up there.

Personally I’m not into lady boys but I don’t have much hang ups about sex either so all I can say is give it a try and see how it goes.

    You might be pleasantly surprised.

No i dont think i would be ,thanks all the same. they are a bit like a nice log fire ,good to look at but i wouldnt put my hand in.

  4. Most of the complainers are old (60+) and kinda set in their ways.

Don't fret though; between the rising cost of living here, the economic state of many their homelands and the resultant consequences for the currencies in which their pensions/incomes are denominated, it's very likely we'll see even more of 'em return home soon anyway.

Still, it doesn't stop them from posting on here.

Youth is so wasted on the young.

Yes and i am not young enough to know everything,

and mrs Mills always going on about young Thai girls waiting for the old man to die so she can marry a Thai boy .

methinks thou doest complain a little to much ---not quite the quote but dont put all your problems on the rest of us.

  5. I love living in Thailand have a wonderfull Thai familly and lots of nice Thai friends ,i am also one of those "grumpy" over 60's although i usually have a smile on my face . But it still does not change the fact that half the Thai people i come across ,especially the m/bike drivers couldnt blow their hats off if their brains were made of gunpowder.

    have a nice day

  6. Brian (41) has had a hard life.

He does seem very definite in his id of the bad guy however.

Bloody hell if its the guy in the photo pointing and he's 41...!!!!!!........feel a whole lot better about myself and I am older than he is....biggrin.png

Are we sure this is correct ?....

this rag is not know for its high quality journalism and ability to report the correct facts....if they had come back and said he was 51 or 61...this would be believeable......

and the age ratio between the farang and the GF is incorrect for Thailand....she's 34 and he is 41, if he is 4,1 statistically speaking his GF would be early to mid-20's, if she is 34, then I am inclined to conclude "Brian" is infact in his middle 50's -early 60's

Reminds me of the guy here in Pattaya who was 50 and had a 21 year old girlfriend ,they were out having a drink and a group of tourists kept shouting pedophile at him ,it ruined their 10th aniversary night out.
