  1. Hello Everyone, I am about moving to Southern Europe from Thailand and need to submit/convert/replace my current DL (Thai) to local DL. The first step is to receive certified DL record from DMV?Transportation Dept. from the country one is moving from (Thailand in this case). Has anyone ever had to obtain DL Record from Thai transportation department? This is usually done online in US through State Transportation Dept or DMV and entails driving records for the previous 3 or 5 years depending on the state. Appreciate your insight on this if anyone has ever had to deal with it before.
  2. Depending on the document i.e. Thai government documents in English, or Thai, or Certified Translation etc. it can also be "legalized" at Thai foreign affairs office at MBK, 5th floor, Section A. 200 Baht 3 day service, 400 baht same day express service. You can make an appointment in advance on their website, can google it and use the appointment QR on their page. I don't have their website with me at this time. They are open at 10:00 AM-04:00 PM.
  3. I believe this is what the report was referring to: Hydrocephalus is the buildup of fluid in cavities called ventricles deep within the brain. The excess fluid increases the size of the ventricles and puts pressure on the brain. Cerebrospinal fluid usually flows through the ventricles and bathes the brain and spinal column. But the pressure of too much cerebrospinal fluid can damage brain tissues and cause a range of symptoms related to brain function. Hydrocephalus can happen at any age, but it occurs more often among infants and among adults 60 and older. Surgery can restore and maintain healthy cerebrospinal fluid levels in the brain. Therapies can manage symptoms resulting from hydrocephalus.
  4. Thank you for your reply Sheryl. My visit was for slight random right hand tremor as well as feeling lightheaded while getting off elevator at high floors. Sensory tests and brain MRI were conducted. I was told the results looked normal during my visit. However, in a report that was sent later, he highlighted the MRI showed 2 of brain cavities showed fluid increases to the limit acceptable for my age. I don't have the report at hand to use the right terminology. The discrepancy between what I was told during the visit and what he wrote in his report later is the reason I don't care to go back to the same doctor although I did follow up with him to clarify the discrepancy. He however couldn't explain except for mumbling and basically asking me to return for another MRI within a year to compare. I don't want to name the doctor but he is the doctor you once recommended on this forum and he seems to have excellent credentials including US board etc.
  5. Hello, I had a visit with Neurologist at Bumrungrad hospital and would like a second opinion regarding my MRI and test results. Can anyone recommend a Neurologist at Sirrirat Hospital please as I have visited that hospital before and liked the service and attention as well as the price better than Bumrungrad. Thank you
  6. Budget only offers discount on monthly rental. Sixt offers weekly discounts, just got offered 1150 for Honda City & 1250 for Toyota Altis including insurance for weekly. Call their general 4 digit number 1798.
  7. Given the symptoms and the length, it could also be allergies.
  8. We went through the same process looking for a condo in CM last year. Peaks Avenue is perhaps the best option one could have in CM especially when arriving without a car, also most probably the most expensive in town. You can rent a unit on monthly basis from the developer and explore/evaluate other options. We looked at many properties, Cayla Private Residence was also nice but you may need a car there. Peaks Garden and Twin Peaks are not comparable with Peaks Avenue although same location and perhaps developed by the same devloper. I would rent a car while there and check out the neighborhoods and buildings, and walk in and ask for any availability for rental if you like anything you come across. Perhaps a good way to learn about neighborhoods and the city as CM is not that large. I found the listings on popular online rental sites mostly incorrect/bait and switch. There is a facebook group for rental in Chiang Mai that I found most useful. PS Here we go, my first message on AN!
