India is pretty good. Nice beaches, mountains, ruins, temples to see, nice people speak English and food, Cheaper than Thailand. Good visa, medical care, transportation, internet. Pollution, crowds and garbage are a problem however. Definitely not boring.
India is one gigantic trash can.
Worse place must be Varanasi where people throw half burned dead bodies in the river and then swim in it and then don't wash and go straight to their street food stall to cater for westerners. Enjoy !!!

The bar is probably listed on Maps.
Just filter your map for bars in specific locations and then scroll through the proposed list and look at the pics. When you see a potential match, click on the bar and investigate the dedicated page - especially the pics tab.
Honestly, you could hit the jackpot in 10 sec.

I'm not a retiree and I don't want a car. I'm in Vietnam right now, first time here, it's great. I thought I'd miss Thailand but I really don't. People treat each other way better here and at the end of the day that's what matters to me. Ok, headed out for a banh mi and a cafe sua !

Grab.
Download the app, order your water.
7/11 is also providing a delivery service but I don't really know how it works.
Nice pic btw.

Man is 100% better.

I don't really care honestly.
Actually I might be tilting towards annoyance at times.
That period tend to be expensive for no valid reason.
People become ultra conformists.
Boring.

Hi all,
I've just received my second education visa. That's not my second extention. I mean that I've already studied Thai at a language school for a year, left the country, and have now received a second new visa that I will be extending for another year. That will eventually make a total of 24 months.
One of the the teachers at my language school is adament that she knows a man here who has done this for 7 years, simply by going from school to school. I doubt this, but I'd like to know what people have heard.
I honestly do attend classes and study Thai. But I doubt I'd be able to switch language schools and take a third year of classes. So I was thinking about a Master's degree. But I wanted to hear if anyone knew of anyone successfully doing this.
Thanks!
I've done it for three years and eventually got kicked out of the country.
I think 3 years is the limit.
But maybe if you choose to study something else, you might stay longer.
In CM I've heard you can study self-defense with the army on an ED visa for example.
Anyhow. Good luck.

The limit only applies to runs by land. By air it's open bar.

Same as Thailand/Philippines/Cambodia,
Lots of poor and desperate women looking for an opportunity.
Some are looking to steal, some are looking for short times, some are looking for husbands.
Protect your wallet while enjoying what's on offer.
3/5 year VISA for $50 for foreign husbands with Viet wives.
I thought those guys had a booming economy !? Like double digits growth or something.
I've heard so many raving about how Vietnam is gonna be the next place to be to grow a business in SE Asia. I see, I see...
Worse part of my trip was Hoi An. What a tourist trap that town is :))
Anyway. Thanks for your reply. I'll keep my guard up.

All those workarounds are pointless. The tech team has to undo this specific part of the update asap.

So you're kind of a fan of Putin? That's very telling.
Well he is an butthole but a mercyless one with balls. I give him that.
As for Joe Biden and his democrats... What a bunch of losers.
They might actually be worse than Trump and his thugs.
The end of an era...

No woman would ever want to speak to a man unless it's for a ride home or money. This is a rule of thumb.
Ok I'll keep that in mind.
Vietnamese women seem to be as dangerous if not more dangerous than Thai ones.
Thank you!

I thought Putin was a wanted war crimes offender with an international arrest warrant out on him? Does Thailand not respect international law.
It's not international law but american fantasy. Nobody gives a rat's ass about that warrant. It's a lame US propaganda stunt that is gonna backfiring showing in the process how useless international institutions have become. I'm not a very big fan of Putin but I'm less and less a fan of the US as well.

Definitely a scam. Like you said, not normal at all for Vietnamese to randomly stop foreigners to show them around. Maybe a pig butchering scam or take you to a restaurant where you'll be charged huge prices and she gets a cut etc.
Ok, thank you. It's my first time in Vietnam so I don't really know local criminals yet :))

Apparently he went to help the driver but was punched by the Thai attacker ,then the attacker fled and also the baht bus driver who was the victim leaving his saver the Russian tourist to lay in the street .
Now let's talk about this bystander effect ,do you help others or mind your own business.
I never forgrt few years ago listening in a bookshop cafe in Pattaya to farangs who mentioned shockingly they kept driving around a body laying on the Pattaya highway no one stopped, they all went around
Is this called the Stockholm syndrome where no one gets involved,or maybe it's called the by stander effect ?
Strangely this happens in China too I'm told more so
Thais are such civilized people. They will never cease to amaze me.
I've seen those idiots fighting with one another more than once.
Never interfered and never will.
I might do something to get the back of a westerner, especially women, but that's about it.
And when I say westerner I mean decent ones not those obese losers who spend their days drinking, smoking, driving ugly tuned vehicles with their punk-ass bitch riding shotgun, etc... Those can die on the sidewalk in my book.

I got stop by a young woman yesterday in Quy Nhon.
She asked me if I could meet her today so she can show me around and speak english.
I got her number but I don't really know what to do.
It seems weird to stop someone on the street and ask them that sort of thing.
I thought Vietnamese women were conservative.
I thought she might be a prostitute but really she doesn't fit the bill when it comes to the dress code of those ladies.
Anyway. Does this ring a bell? Like a scam you've heard of before ?
Thx

I've done a couple here and there. Like Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Udon.
I can't really do the others cause I travel mostly by bus and don't rent cars or motorbikes to get around. So unless I can catch a Grab for a decent price, I'm not going.
Wat Samphran looks pretty cool. That giant dragon you can explore must be kinda unusual. Same goes for Phraya Nakhon cave - that one I'll definitely do at some point - Ayutthaya as well.
Anyway. You've done quiet of few trips around the country, didn't you :) Not easy to find something that would surprise you !
