Why would my ass be sorry??? Life's been great! ????

You remind me of my nephew. He is going through that phase when kids are constantly provoking to test the limits and show the world they exist. It's true what they say. As you age, you become a kid again... Kinda poetic really.

    They are jealous of boomers!

Why should we? They're about to transfer 70 trillions to us and then die so we won't have to listen to their simplistic and destructive worldview anymore. Only good news on the horizon quiet frankly.

  3. These only digital nomads / remote workers that I've ever met in Thailand weren't the Marriott type more like the hostel type or, at best, the condo style. That article doesn't make much sense to me...

Another thing that bugs me is the visa issue. What kind of visa would those people be on ? As far as I know those guys are currently on tourist visas or ED visas...

    I don't know it's weird.

Not sure about that, and same world wide, apply yourself, and you can accomplish anything.   My Thai family & daughter are all doing quite well, but are not lay-abouts.  Nuff said.

Life is about choices.  My daughter of course got assistance from me, but my wife's family, are doing quite well, without my help.  Not from Hi-So background.   8 siblings and parents died when she was 4 or 5 yrs old, too young to even remember.  So they struggled for many years.

    Sure thing, boomer.

Just don't watch YouTube. No ads. Problem solved.

"Coz I got a brain" Sorry, I am not convinced.

I will keep watching YT with ads blocked. Problem solved.

And you mister Smarty Pants you go on and watch ads all day long for both of us :))

If you don't like the ads, why don't you pay for premium?

Coz I got a brain so I don't pay for garbage. YT can be entertaining as it is but I wouldn't pay for it just like I wouldn't pay for the trash on offer on Netflix. No added value, no money. I'd rather be a patron for a creator who really impresses me once in a while. Now if you wanna be brainwashed by constant micro ads, please be my guest.

I'm familiar with a fair number of different YT content creators who basically make their entire incomes off of YT ad revenue shares on their videos...

But of course, you need to reach a certain level of viewership, I believe, before YT will so-called "monetize" a provider's videos... And then from there, the more views, the more money...

But FWIW, I also know of one Thailand based YTer who over several years had built quite a following and was earning very good money... until one day in the past year when YT decided to permanently "de-monetize" his account, leaving him in the lurch.

I've been a content creator myself. Two channels. 300000 subs and 150000 subs. 1 million+ views per month. Educational content. Ad revenues: between 500 and 800$ /m depending on the market. Never blamed people to block ads. They are 100% right.

Why do many people expect to get everything free on the internet?

I accept the YouTube and the creators must make some money.

That means I have to pay direct, per subscription, or indirect, with ads. I think that is fair.

Most creators don't make any money from ads anyway. Youtube shouldn't either as they already make money selling your data. At the end of the day, creators make their money with sponsors and patrons. Ads are a lame attempt to make something that worked for TV work on internet but it doesn't. Far too many, far too annoying.

Just a heads up. I came to Thailand as a tourist and decided to get my teeth cleaned and one of my teeth was hurting. I went in and the 3 teeth were loose and he said there was nothing to be done but pull them. I was not thinking and said ok..

He pulled it and then started the implant talk. I got suspicious.. Long story short I quit going and left the country. I went to my dentist and he said the extractions were completely unnecessary .  I had several loose teeth and he did a deep cleaning and went into the root system and stopped the disease. All my teeth tightened up and now I am 100% except now I need an implant where the idiot in Thailand pulled the tooth.

Do not go to Thailand for Dental work.. period is my advice.

    Just a heads up..

Sorry to hear that. I went to a dentist when I was in Udon Thani. They did a tremendous job and saved my tooth. Guess professionalism has nothing to do with nationality.

Pretty <deleted> up what happened to you. I'm sorry to hear it...

  10. The guy who had the idea of a Hooter in <deleted> town Pattaya is an absolute idiot. Who would do something like that? You got like the finest woes in the country at every corner, ready to blow you for 500THB, and you start a business thinking that you will defraud people selling them overpriced junk food because your staff is cute !? What kind of arrogance is that !?

  11. Many workarounds:

    1) Block ads via DNS using your DNS browser's settings. Adguard's DNS work great so you can use those.

    2) Block ads via VPN by activating the blocker in your VPN settings. If you don't want to pay for a VPN just install the free proton one.

    3) Use a youtube client such as Freetube. This is what I've been doing since forever. You can watch videos without ads, subscribe to channels without account, etc...

    Good luck

Some signs that High Season is coming:

Incoming Immigration at Suvarnabhumi was jammed yesterday, post midnight.

I have already had 2 no-shows from ladies scheduled to meet me (due to their being barfined LT by other customers).

The only exception is the Gaza war, which is precluding Israelis comibg to Thailand. Bummer for bargirls depending on their Israeli "boyfriends".

I believe the upcoming High Season will be the biggest ever.

Note for purists: yes, I know that "High Season" is usually defined as the 2 week period around Christmas and New Years. But, business in Pattaya starts to perk up in October, and stays busy through Songkran.

    Yeah of course. Thank you.

Here's another photo of the bar with a different girl in the shot...

Ugly white tiling, pitch-black background... Should be pretty easy to identify by scanning bars along beach road on Google Maps. Alternatively you can try and watch videos of people walking around the area on YT.

It might be one of the bars at the entrance of Walking Street - next to the entrance of the Pattaya Beer Garden.

I love those guessing games. Come on, more pics without the mystery girl on them. I'm gonna pinpoint that place for you (pretty sure I know it. Remember once thinking to myself what an ugly white tiling - can't remember where though)...
