  1. Hua Hin is amongst the most boring places I've visited in Thailand. There's nothing to do there. Everything is flat. The bar scene sucks big time. Not the nicest crowd in Thailand to be fair. The beach is disgusting and the sea is super salty. I mean once you've been to Khao Takiab and the old town, you're more or less done. True you can take a car a go see a couple of waterfalls and a fake italian town a couple of kilometers away. But man, I wouldn't like to retire there even if I was paid for it. They got an excellent immigration office at Blueport though. One of the best I've been to in Thailand - super friendly and fast. No seriously, I'm calling BS on that one :)) Forbes is full of it.
  2. Yeah exactly. Smart visas are not that common and I don't see why Marriott would take any interest in them. It doesn't make any sense. It's almost like TAT and Marriott are talking about 2 different things here.
  3. I wouldn't bet much on those guys honestly. Our old farts went from hippie revolutionaries to cynical relics. Pita was the only way forward (kinda) and he is out. Goodbye Thai democracy. See you in a couple of decades... Maybe.
  4. Svalbard. And don't forget your bikini, bro.
  5. No I didn't create no sock account because boomers are turning into kids all over again. My god, what kind of a weird idea is that anyway ?!
  6. Maybe. I don't know 2baht so it's hard to say...
  7. You remind me of my nephew. He is going through that phase when kids are constantly provoking to test the limits and show the world they exist. It's true what they say. As you age, you become a kid again... Kinda poetic really.
  8. If that was the case you wouldn't need me to pay for your sorry ass. But hey! As I said. My pleasure.
  9. Not at all. No worries :)
  10. And you must be a low IQ loser.
  11. My pleasure. I'm all for a system where the lucky ones pay for those struggling to live in dignity.
  12. Why should we? They're about to transfer 70 trillions to us and then die so we won't have to listen to their simplistic and destructive worldview anymore. Only good news on the horizon quiet frankly.
  13. These only digital nomads / remote workers that I've ever met in Thailand weren't the Marriott type more like the hostel type or, at best, the condo style. That article doesn't make much sense to me... Another thing that bugs me is the visa issue. What kind of visa would those people be on ? As far as I know those guys are currently on tourist visas or ED visas... I don't know it's weird.
  14. Apply yourself to it and you'll understand soon enough. And if you can't just ask a younger guy to help you figure out why what you just said is completely moronic.
  15. Sure thing, boomer.
  16. I will keep watching YT with ads blocked. Problem solved. And you mister Smarty Pants you go on and watch ads all day long for both of us :))
  17. I was in Da Nang last week and in Pattaya two months ago. Da Nang is much cheaper for sure - especially accommodations. Thailand is still kinda cheap compared to the west but not as cheap as it used to.
  18. Coz I got a brain so I don't pay for garbage. YT can be entertaining as it is but I wouldn't pay for it just like I wouldn't pay for the trash on offer on Netflix. No added value, no money. I'd rather be a patron for a creator who really impresses me once in a while. Now if you wanna be brainwashed by constant micro ads, please be my guest.
  19. Their corrupted, unfair, rigged system.
  20. I've been a content creator myself. Two channels. 300000 subs and 150000 subs. 1 million+ views per month. Educational content. Ad revenues: between 500 and 800$ /m depending on the market. Never blamed people to block ads. They are 100% right.
  21. Most creators don't make any money from ads anyway. Youtube shouldn't either as they already make money selling your data. At the end of the day, creators make their money with sponsors and patrons. Ads are a lame attempt to make something that worked for TV work on internet but it doesn't. Far too many, far too annoying.
  22. Sorry to hear that. I went to a dentist when I was in Udon Thani. They did a tremendous job and saved my tooth. Guess professionalism has nothing to do with nationality. Pretty <deleted> up what happened to you. I'm sorry to hear it...
