My Khanom grower friends mentioned that their Thai customer base has more or less disappeared the last few months & they are mainly selling to foreigners now. I read the other day about a Thai girl opening up a small stall to sell & she was granted a 30 month licence so appears to be business as usual. With regards to over supply my Chonburi friend is out of stock so it's not everywhere there is over supply. Prices are going lower & lower especially now during low season. Was the same when I arrived in July last year with discounted prices everywhere. Earlier in the year there was less discounting as it was peak tourist season. The retail shops in tourist hot spots are still commanding top money usually 500+ baht gram. Don't know who they are selling to as I never see any customers in the few shops in my area. Here retail shops are selling top shelf for 250 baht gram & exotic for 350-400 baht gram.

I have bought products before from Siam Seeds, Yodbaimai, Bkkushhh.com, Thai friend in Chonburi & the Khanom family from 50-200 baht gram. The only products that are full of trichomes, sticky & smell delicious are from my Thai friend & the Khanom family. They are old school quality grown products & are the only ones that coat my scissors in resins. I have been smoking potent indoor hydro for over 30 years in Australia.

Top quality buds full of trichomes grown indoors in small room with A/C, LED lights etc by husband & wife boutique growers in Khanom. Not the cheapest at 120 baht a gram but definitely the highest quality. Can negotiate down to 100 baht or less for larger quantities & delivery can be arranged. I spent some time with the family today as I live local & they mentioned sales have slowed down the past few months. They were supplying shops in Koh Samui & Phuket but it has also slowed down due most likely to a U-turn recently on legalization. With Anutin controlling the senate & news yesterday of another U-turn again yesterday by the government it appears it will be business as usual for Thailand. Possibly a few minor changes such as requiring a certificate from a doctor. It will be much appreciated if you can place a small order with the family to help them out during slow times. They are a young family with young daughter & elderly parents living in a modest Thai style home. I helped out with 5k purchase today. They can be contacted via Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064934793798 Here are some photos of the Khanom growers Froot, 100K, Candy Pave & Orange Cane strains in stock at the moment.

Thai Bangkaew are excellent security dogs. My dog will only bark & bite anyone she doesn't know if they come too close. She is loving, affectionate & loyal but is a real handful when going to the vet & has to have a muzzle or will bite him & the nurse. Had her from day 1 when born & she will only let my gf & I pat her. She loves going for walks exploring, swimming at the beach & her favourite activity is going for drives in the car. At home she is quiet all day unless unknown people come to the property. She is solid & weighs 28kg. Only eats dry dog food occasionally as she usually eats pork, chicken, beef, fish, rice, som tam etc with us. Has never eaten canned dog food.

The buds look really good. Very frosty buds will definitely pack a punch. The really good stuff is selling for around 200 baht a gram or about 1,800 baht for 10 grams. Greenhill Organic Cannabis Farm in Chiang Rai appears to have some good stuff too. Have not tried as yet & will order when back in Thailand next month. Start at 250 baht/gm for single gram & go as low as 150 baht/gm for 50 grams. https://weed.th/shop/7ae5b72f-d3da-4536-9128-608a161cf29c/chiang-rai/greenhill-organic-cannabis-farm

Roojai mention Type 1 is for cars not over 5 years old but you can get Type 1 for cars up to 12 years old. Some other insurers can do Type 1 for cars older than 12 years. You can find them using the comparison sites.

The Roojai insurance site explains it all here: https://www.roojai.com/en/car-insurance/ Type/Class are 1, 2+, 2, 3+, 3

Yes back to weed. I also had the Double Grape x Grape Crinkle from Siam & it was very good. On their Facebook page you can see Siam are growing in grow tents sometimes using soil, compost, guano, kelp, bone & molasses. Yodbaimai have large grow rooms. Siam definitely more potent, however, the Mochi from Yodbaimai I had to take it easy with as I felt would 'green out' if went too hard especially in the Thailand heat. I have been smoking potent hydro for over 30 years mainly bongs but the Mochi required some respect. Only let down was I bought 10gm of Super Skunk from Yodbaimai & it was delicious like old school indoor hydro very skunky. I ordered another 10gm a few days later & it was not the same as the first order. I asked them if they had mixed up strains but they said it was the same. Could have been from a different plant with different phenotype but lacked the skunky smell & taste of the first order. If any of you head to Khanom just be aware that the police have a check point on the main road in the city near the traffic lights nearly every week. Ensure that you have a valid driver licence & international driving permit to avoid any penalties.

That's because I'm currently doing research for my retirement visa & car insurance for when I buy a car. Have also posted about a few other things. If you think it's suss up to you no problem. I am here to share information & recommend any companies that have taken good care of me in Thailand. I have learnt heaps from reading posts at aseannow.com which helped me during my recent trip & have only just started posting to share some info for newbies. -
Yes. About 100km from Surat Thani or Nakhon Si Thammarat airport. Here's me after a big smoking session with the whole beach to myself. And a photo of the day's catch. Good place to stay feels like home is 1 bedroom homes at Ban Lung Thorn Khanom located 400 metres from Hua Thanon beach. Monthly rate is about 10k including power, water, WiFi & new linen every 2 weeks. Can find them on Google maps or call +66819786951. Great landlord bought me a birthday cake on my birthday & also went to Nakhon Si Thammarat city 100km away to do some paperwork for my visa. He can pick you up at the airport but you will need a car or motorbike to get around in Khanom. Can rent motorbikes from the girl a couple of homes away.

If you drive in Khanom be ready to go through a police checkpoint nearly every week. Was stopped at police checkpoints 4 times in Khanom on main road in city & another time on the highway heading to Sichon from Khanom during 2 months driving in the region. 1. Khanom - wanted to see drivers licence to see where I was from & said have a nice day 2. Khanom - different policeman wanted to see licence & advised have to get Thai licence when live here 3. Khanom - different policeman soon as he saw I was a foreigner told me I can go 4. Sichon - policeman checked registration of rental vehicle & demanded 500 baht saying it was expired. Told him it is not my car not paying & he got angry demanded I get out of the vehicle & go to see senior policemen sitting at tables nearby. Highest ranking officer there wanted to know where I was from & told me no worry I can go. Couldn't speak much English & I don't speak much Thai. 5. Khanom - soon as police saw I was a foreigner they told me to keep going I had the feeling that police in the region have been advised from higher up to not interfere with foreigners. The policeman at Sichon asking for 500 baht couldn't see me properly through the dark tinted windows & when I go out of the car his demeanour changed. FYI - drove from Hua Hin down to Nakhon Si Thammarat approx. 600km without any police checks going with the flow of traffic doing 110-120km/hr in 90km/hr zone overtaking police on a number of occasions. No traffic fines apart from one in Chumphon from a speed camera doing 129km/hr in 90km/hr zone as was in a hurry to return rental car on time on last day. Cost of fine was only 600 baht.

Many foreigners are paying big money for visa services particularly in Bangkok. When I told my American neighbour in Khanom how much they charge in Pattaya she didn't believe me as she is paying in the 20's range just for renewals every year via a Bangkok agent. Pattaya seems to be the most economical place for visa related matters using visa agents although their prices range from 25,000 to 46,000. FYI - very easy & fast at Nakhon Si Thammarat Immigration. I am usually the only person when I go at around 10am & out of there within 10-15 minutes of which 5-10 minutes is spent having a chat and/or coffee with the Immigration Officers. Unlike the chaos at tourist places like Pattaya, Bangkok & Hua Hin.

Was in Thailand from July-October this year. Yodbamai & Siam Seeds had great prices at 100-120 baht gram when I arrived. Went up to around 180-200 baht gram by the time I departed. Strains I smoked are Birthday Cake, Mochi, Apples & Bananas, Wedding Cake, Super Skunk. The Birthday Cake (Cherry Pie x Girl Scout Cookies) & Super Skunk (Skunk #1 x Afghani) were pick of the bunch. Mochi (Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies x Sunset Sherbet) was also very good. They don't display their stock online anymore but send you messages in Line with new arrivals. I find Yodbamai to be grown more like old school indoor hydro whereas Siam is more potent & they tend to grow many exotic strains & small auto flower plants. Siam update their Facebook page regularly with new strains they are growing & when they will be ready. https://www.facebook.com/SiamSeedsCo/ https://www.yodbaimai.com/ Both Yodbamai & Siam took good care of me with additional grams for free, free papers, free joints, free samples & free delivery while I was in Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin & Khanom. Spent two months at Khanom beach & it's a beautiful chilled out place ideal for smokers. Great for fishing too & was catching about 10 pasai every afternoon off the beach with a little 6ft rod/reel combo bought on Facebook for 300 baht. Bought a charcoal grill from Lazada & happy days at Khanom beach on the munchies. Will be back there in late January living 100 metres from the beach paradise. I have attached photos of a couple of the strains.

Here are directions I received the other day from a visa agent in Bangkok for opening bank accounts. Otherwise they can open you a bank account for 10,000 baht cost. Please follow this step to open an account on your own. 1st you go to get 30 days tourist extension at your local immigration (please also bring your address paperworks to immigration) 2nd request the immigration to proceed residence certificate for you to open an account 3rd show the residence certificate at the bank to get account open Have not tried to open a bank account yet to see if the process is successful. My Lao girlfriend with Work Permit tried the above process but the bank requested a copy of her health exam as well. This is down south in Nakhon Si Thammarat. I extended my visa during my last stay in Thailand 2 months ago in Nakhon Si Thammarat & got a residence certificate from immigration but didn't know I could open a bank account. Will have to give it a try when I come back in January otherwise I will go to Maneerat in Pattaya who do it for about 4,000 baht. MOTS in Pattaya can also open bank accounts for 4,000 baht. I have been getting quotes for bridging/retirement 15 month visa & they range from 25,000-46,000 + bank account charge in Pattaya, 38,000-52,000 + bank account charge in Bangkok & a whopping 60,000 including bank account in Surat Thani. Extra 4,000-10,000 to open a bank account.
