  1. Could this be the dumbest post of the day?
  2. Sex and drugs for sale everywhere in Patong, so who cares about a bit of fun on the beach.
  3. Dead zones in the Gulf of Mexico.
  4. Careful, you might give milk
  5. He is buying time, our chili pepper. No way a Chinese company will take the blame, too much at stake.
  6. Teflon Thailand will sail through this storm. Thais will travel back to their villages and eat whatever grows. I wonder what the lower socio-economic Americans wil do when the s#$% hits the fan. And it will.
  7. That's a bit like the World Series.
  8. More logical that Earth was created? Uhh......... Who created the creator then?
  9. Thailand aided the US in its Commie hunt in Asia (Vietnam). Tariffs don't happen overnight, its a slow and delicate negotiation process. By pulling the rug under the global economy, Trump is hurting his own middle and lower classes. I fail to understand that the MAGA people are cheering about this. A total economic paradigm shift is awaiting us, which could lead to war.
  10. No, it hasn't. The Thai Baht gets its value because people buy a lot of Baht (investors, tourists). Market forces determine the value of a currency.
  11. Good for you, I am old fashioned. I have a Toyota, 2400cc diesel. I have planted hundreds of trees, separate garbage, and pick up trash from the beach to lower my carbon footprint.
  12. I only drive Japanese cars ,of course. Chinese cars are a poor (long term) investment, as the drop in resell value is enormous.
  13. Chevrolet cars are not reliable, worse than many Chinese cars, and nobody wants them, with or without tariifs.
  14. When one country can create money out of thin air, supported by reserve status of the currency, than other countries should have better trade tariffs. You can't have it both!
  15. The game hasn't even started and you are already counting your marbles. It might spiral the economy of the country with the largest national debt in human history out of control. And then what? World war 3, or begging the rest of the world for renewed negotiations. I feel truly sorry for decent hatd working Americans.
  16. No, that's just one side of the coin. As prices are now much higher for US consumers, they will buy less foreign products. Trump hopes to bank on the fact that the demand will shift from foreign made to American made. This could backfire big time, with serious scarcity as possible effect, as the US is an open economy (and thus dependent on foreign supply). Nobody can foresee who will win or lose in this paradigm change! Trump is going Va Banque.
  17. The US is creating a ripple effect in global supply and demand, which is very risky. What would be fair, however, if the rest of the world denounce the dollar as international reserve currency for oil trading.
  18. The real problem is that those inspecting are corrupted as well (most likely).
  19. Yes, that will restore faith in the 'high-rise' market
