    I've eaten at a restaurant there 3 times. Around 500 or 600 baht for two people. About 4 dishes total. Thai food. Long standing restaurant.

    Sangsom and local beers are rather cheap in shops. A beer costs the same as a bowl of noodles and Sangsom 2.5 bowls of noodles. How do you think Thais can afford to drink on their 8,000 baht a month budget?

    I agree it is all habit. If someone spends 3000 baht a day for 30 days it seems normal but if they dropped it to 500 baht a day at first it seems difficult but after 2 months it would become normal.
