  1. So she's a drop shipper. Presumably this isn't a secure business for the long term future. No mention of what her "partner" does for work either. So he/she will be trying to find employment in Phuket? Maybe their Russian neighbors can offer some assistance.
  2. They moved to Thailand because of the high cost of electricity in the UK. Now living in Phuket, the most expensive part of Thailand, and just wait until they meet their Russian neighbors running some illegal business. Then what about their visas, health insurance, school fees, high cost of western food, employment, and money to live on when they retire? Do people ever think and plan these things through or only act on emotions and lack of knowledge? They will be back in the UK within 2 years or less.
  3. Hub of political instability. Hub of political upheavals. Hub of political corruption. Hub of fake democracy. Hub of unelected rulers.
  4. The NIDA is part of the department of education. Do they normally conduct polls about people's opinions about the use of drugs in Thailand? Have they also conducted polls about meth, alcohol, cigarettes, etc? The answer is probably no, unless the ruling political party in government asks them to. Meanwhile the ruling political party wants to make cannabis illegal. Conflict of interest? Hard to trust any results from a poll conducted by another part of the government.
  5. I recently flew out of Swampy. Got there 3 hours before flight departure time. Checkin took 20 minutes, security check took 5 minutes, reentry permit took 15 minutes, immigration took 10 minutes. I arrived at my gate and still had 2 more hours until my flight. Then the flight was delayed 2 more hours.
  6. 100 Baht for a liter of beer - gone in 1 hour 100 Baht for 3 grams of weed - lasts a week
  7. Visa? Health Insurance? School Fees? Employment? Air Pollution? 40 Degree Temperatures?
  8. Sadly very little has changed in Thailand over the last 40 years in regards to the "sick buffalo" story and only slight variations have emerged. However, the foreign victim is often to blame for his own naivety if he chose to marry a woman from the sex trade whose sole intention was only to secure a foreign husband to support her family for the long term. This doesn't mean that marrying a Thai woman from the sex trade is always going to result in the same type of outcome. Nor does it mean that marrying a Thai woman who is not involved in sex the trade will always avoid the same outcome either. But it does seem that marrying a woman who is involved in the sex trade does increase your chances of facing overwhelming financial difficulties with her family in the future.
  9. Exactly. All one needs to do is notify the cell service provider that the SIM has been lost/stolen so that they can disable it in the system. When you obtain the replacement SIM card really doesn't matter. Many people are also using eSIM now and don't even have a physical SIM card in their phones. eSIMs can also be added to most smartphones using a QR code provided by the cell service provider. So obtaining a replacement eSIM can often be done online.
  10. How exactly did you first meet your wife? 🧐
  11. Both not correct. Scammers don't need databases of numbers. They are way past that. They just use rapid automated dialer programs that construct random numbers. Also, not true about losing your number to another customer when you lose a SIM card. The SIM card is always linked to a registered name and, as long as the bills continue to be paid for a postpaid number or a prepaid number continues to get recharged when required, then the number is never lost. Has nothing to do with losing the physical SIM card or not.
  12. Great news. Sounds like it will help reduce scams for a while until scammers adapt and develop new means and methods. The question though is if the telecoms will effectively carry out these enforcement measures or not since this will require a significant investment of resources that will provide no financial benefit back to the telecoms.
  13. Unfortunately, only 3 possible outcomes: 1 - Continue paying 2 - Divorce and stop paying 3 - Stay married and wife agrees money flow must stop
  14. Alcohol will kill you even without the durian. The durian is a red herring. Here is a good solution: Quit drinking alcohol completely, switch to cannabis and eat twice as much durian.
  15. I'm almost in tears laughing so I thank you for that. But seriously bro, no need to give yourself a wedgie over this. In fact, the weekend is still young. How about tomorrow you go for a prostate massage and write us an essay about it.
  16. Lol, gets even stranger and more confusing with each passing post. Keep going. You're on a roll. How about another glamorous 320-word slab of drivel about what you did today? Cmon, surely you are up to it.
  17. Have no idea what you are nannering on about. But never mind. No need to explain further. I would be polite and say it sounds fun, but then again I would be lying.
  18. Bet yours is gold plated cause life is short and you only live once, right?
  19. It's how much he paid for each item that really defines things. Social strata flexing.
  20. Collin Ferrel. Can't be.
  21. Try earplugs and a spliff.
