Thai people often don't hesitate to be photographed by the strangers when approached in a friendly manner. I am in Chiang Mai, and recently photographed a young pair(man & woman) in an ancient costume the park. Their clothing looked impressive and interesting. So I asked them for permission to take a few photos. I was a total strangers to them. But they happily said OK. This kind of response is not rare in this kingdom.
