Reading this kind of sad news, I feel How Lucky We(expats from the 1st world) Are. Can stay on, in own favorite country with relative ease; without committing any immigration violation. And able to enjoy the Positive Aspect of the host country. To the people who are here as Migrant Workers(legal or illegal) from the poorer countries, daily scenery could be quite different...

Do they start to notice, it is sheer waste of their time & energy? Finding out they can collect little or no tax money from the expats not working here. Therefore it is not worth it; fruitless efforts(what Thais generally hate worst). -
As a expat staying here for nearly 2 decades, I strongly agree. In my experience, the nastiest ones are in: Mae Sai(Thai-Burmese)border check point. As well as Chen Wattana(BKK). And actually, there are also Judaists against current Israeli policies(oppressing Palestinian refugees in the neighboring areas). During 1960s’ Civil Rights Movement in USA, Jews were said to be one of the first group who supported its cause...

The post's author expressed security concerns, feeling anxious with only two women managing the establishment. --------------------------------------------------------------- They might sometimes need a stout man with goon outlook in their shop, to deter those foreign Riff Raffs; as the human guard dog. Lowlifes often do/demand something unreasonable when they feel it is safe to do so. If they feel they will be easily overpowered and mangled, even the pea brains will behave themselves.

Think so. Hightech criminals are often a few steps ahead of dumb bureaucrats. -
