  1. No Sympathy with the 'Victim'. The Bully simply faced own consequences, instant Karma. Anything goes around, comes around. As simple as that.
  2. Those migrant workers from the poorer adjoining countries. They have been making huge contribution to Thai economy for decades. They often take up kind of jobs(e.g. farm hands, construction workers, fishing boat crew) modern Thais often hate to do. Therefore they(and their children) certainly deserve better. Fortunately, they are culturally and religiously(often Buddhists) close to Thais. Thailand can make up for their gradually shrinking working population. And the migrant workers' children can grow up as the new Thais. Win-Win decision of the century. Cheers.
  3. Thailand's workforce will gradually shrink in the next 20-30 years; due to their declining birthrate and aging population. Thailand declining birthrate statistics - Google Search So a kind of smart move to socially integrate migrant workers from the neighboring nations. They are culturally, religiously (often Buddhists) close to the people of this kingdom. So won't be like those newly arrived 'refugees' from Africa and Middle East in Europe(often refuse to integrate into the society of their destination country).
  4. Does the ICPO offer any Worldwide Screening devices?
  5. Do you prefer another word that starts with P?
  6. Good Samaritans. Often look like vigilante(private crime busters) in Thailand. I remember another case where a small group of bike taxi riders made a citizen's arrest of the gold thief. Fake Line Man caught in gold 'heist' situation by sharp-eyed bikers | Thaiger Even a hard action involving case as below: Salute to the bravery among common Thais.
  7. In contrast, banana prices is coming down to the usual level after price hike due to short supply; due to loss of many trees by the tropical storm earlier this year. For the past week, Namwa Banana is getting as cheap as B5-10 in the public market of Chiang Mai(@Muang Mai and Chiang Mai Gate).
  8. How can they build another 2655Km of railway? While their State Rail has already been struggling to maintain their existing line of 4845Km for ages. Sounds so unreal.
  9. Could well end up another case of Saying, but not Doing.
  10. The uneducated poor often lacks the sense of priority. Looks like common skid row psychology worldwide. Being poor makes them dumb.
  11. Kong and Bom told police that they were threatened by an unidentified person who said that he would beat them up in the same manner they had attacked the homeless man. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looks like some enforcer of Street Justice in Isaan town. I would rather these punks ended up beaten up, half-killed instead as they were told. Thai juvenile laws are said to be as soft as the West.; hardly no real punishment just because they are minors.
  12. officers had tortured him into confessing to the crime, --------------------------------------------------------------------- That's what those Bas*ards really deserve. Attacking the helpless innocent. And then met the similar fate. Just a matter of consequence to the act of evil A Good Punisher Cop in Real Life. Harming the destitute vulnerable is the last thing I can ever imagine.
  13. In such a case(oversaty + criminal offence), do these ones face only deportation? Or they are also likely to do their time in jail here before extradition? Is it up to with or without Thai victims? Any Thai Law experts, please comment.
  14. call centre fraud... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looks like increasing becoming common criminal livelihood on global scale. Both in the East and West. Some examples of common methods: 1-Asking for crediting money into the account(obtained in black market; e.g. bought from the homeless), pretending elders' close family members(sons, daughter). 2-Or contacting strangers saying the police froze their accounts because of the criminal involvement suspicion. And tell victims to transfer the account balance into the nominated accounts(this type often said to be happening here) to clear their names. Phrase like law enforcement, court, and criminal allegation function used to shut down people's brain. The biggest contradiction is, Money cannot be sent out If Accounts are Really Blocked. My English friend's mother is said to have encountered the case of fake son asking for money. Fortunately, she noticed it was the trap.
  15. Are they thinking about it to weaken THB? Currency of the country with higher inflation rate usually goes down in a long term. Inflation means monetary devaluation as the price of goods/services go up. So needs more money to buy one same item than the past.
  16. Working Illegally & Attacking Tourists. Onto BKK Hilton. Without violent crime, might be no more than deportation though.
  17. And it is supposed to be the Family Friendly World Class Tourist Destination. Despite of its sinful development concept in the first place...
  18. Yes. It can still inflict fatal damage to the body(if fired from the Point Blank Range). Quite a few demonstration footage on YouTube. Even a tiny .22 LR blank round can be deadly. Never underestimate the power of high pressure, high speed, and high temperature gas jet...
  19. Never bring a iron bar to a knife fight.
  20. after he crashed his car into her and fired shots at her, following a misunderstanding over a suspected theft. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Was that man going to question the dead prostitute over the theft allegation? Only the Living can be Interrogated though.
  21. It is Oct.29, today. In the area of my residence(north of the CNX old city , I have not seen any rain for the past 6 days. And it is pretty dry and cool early in the morning and late at night.
  22. After all, very few people in the world with True White Hands. Capitalists, Socialists/Communists regimes. Christians, Muslims, Judaists, and Buddhists. All directly or indirectly perpetrators and victims at the same time or from time to time. The worst sufferers are often the powerless among any groups. Mostly, children, having no voices/choices, but forced to bear all the hardship imposed by someone else a lot more powerful than them. Being a Mankind, being among the Race of Guilt.
  23. You are certainly quoting pretty disturbing figures. I don’t stand for any particular side. But I also noticed something quite shocking. One president from the Free World killed 280,771-315,190 Iraqi civilians since 911 out of own greed; in the unprovoked invasion for Oil. As well as the US and allies servicemen; 7057 from the direct conflict. 30177 of US soldiers and veterans suicide deaths after their return(mostly by PTSD due to their wartime experience). Iraqi Civilians | Costs of War US & Allied Killed | Costs of War Civilians Killed & Wounded | Costs of War Islamic fundamentalists & the West. Both look evenly brutal.
