  1. Fair enough. Having a prison sentence hanging over me if I injured someone in the UK definitely made me more careful after drinking. And pleased to say, I never had a problem.
  2. I only just got here, probably have only drunk drove 10 times max. I have a rental vios which is terrible, but am looking at buying an Everest. They look quite versatile, seats fold down so almost as roomy as a pickup. A lot of safety features. In the places I have been drinking, the expats have all been driving after drinking. Nobody really even mentions it, taxis or those apps. You are kidding yourself if you think it isn’t happening I was surprised that not more people have admitted it on this forum but I guess the people I have been socializing with are not on this forum. And those who do, which I would guess would be the majority of people who do drink, would probably know the carry on by certain posters so don’t bother. I get that people who follow certain rules, get triggered when other people don’t. Like wearing masks during Covid, those who did had an issue with those who didn’t. Same with Muslims and jihabs, etc etc Live and let live is my motto.
  3. Thanks for asking. A bit of that, not too much. going well. That is why I comment so much here. Always on my tablet, take a break and post here. Putting in 6-8 hours per day. i have learned all the consonants all the basic vowels, just a few vowel combos left. Got about 200 words now, but must keep revising, otherwise I forget. Thinking about getting out of that one. Probably aim for something a bit younger. Back in the UK I was batting above my average with her, but now I am on the ground I think she is batting above her average. Not sure how to break it to her. I am dithering a bit. k see above looking into it. Might make more sense to build purpose party houses next door to each other for bigger groups. getting a lot of advice. That will take a while.
  4. It is always risky driving. Best we all stay home.
  5. Last month it was the Brit soi 6 drinkers who were outraged at having to pay for sex in a brothel, yesterday it was the Brit woman outraged over the price of a dress alteration, today it is baked beans. what will we be outraged about tomorrow?
  6. This good news for the economy and the Thai people will trigger the “hate all things the Thais are winning at” crowd. But, but, but….
  7. Ok, what time are you going to pick me up? or do you want me to stay at home wasting my short life away staring out my faux French doors while watching re-runs of MASH in a dark and lonely room while the Chinese made grandfather clock slowly ticks away like sand through the hour glass.
  8. Yeah, about 5 of you who like complaining.
  9. I am not arguing with you, I am telling you. A child tragically lost her life in the said incident. The OP s neighbor has not killed anyone one, seems to be having a good time and I think it goes back to a bit of jealousy from the OP. We are here for a good time, not a long time. I can not spell those big words so do use them.
  10. I have done advanced and defensive driving courses. I will be fine, thanking for caring.
  11. Are am not sure why you keep talking about Australians? You might want to get yourself checked out for menopausal dementia.
  12. Remember the old saying. Snitches are bitches that get stitches.
  13. Yeah can’t wait for that. load up the ice box in the car and drink in the car, it will be fantastic. I seem to recall a couple of days ago you arguing with someone, as you like doing, who said that you should always check when reversing out for children. You said you never did. I always do, and always reverse very slowly for safety issues. I seem to recall that a child had actually died on that thread. The chances of either of us killing a kid are slim. But if I take precautions like I do I think the chances of you killing a kid are higher than me. And to all of us on this forum who will be going out and drinking tonight, please drive safely, stay off your phone and always check what is behind you when reversing.
  14. I would not say proud. a bit smug perhaps.
  15. Less than from speeding drivers. why do all the car manufacturers produce cars that can go 200km plus? why is that allowed? why are not all cars fitted with speed controllers?
  16. I agree during drunk on a motorcycle is quite risky. Booze affects your balance and you need balance for two wheels.
  17. He isn’t making it worse. He hasn’t killed anyone. You wouldn’t even know about it if he had not have been so honest and told you. You and your mate Lou are carrying on like a two bobwatch.
