  1. My observation, there are different factions in the Thai government. The Tourism ministry always supports easy visas and more tourists and the Immigration ministry and ruling elites who are already rich and do not care very much about the economy are more anti-tourism So the Tourism ministry will announce these things, but there is no approval-- Eventually the elites are pressured by the government economists and advisors to allow things like weed or more tourists because the GDP is falling, but the elites always demand some concession like temporary approval only
  2. I had checked it out last week, and it says if you're not physically right now in your home country you can't use this site to apply for evisa. Is that accurate? I saw a lot of news coverage of this new portal, and no mention about this rule. Did the rules for this portal change recently

  4. https://thethaiger.com/news/national/scamming-the-scholar-retired-professor-loses-millions-to-fake-cop The only way these "scammers" know which victims to choose is because Thai bank employees are telling them which bank accounts have a lot of money owned by elderly people. And the "fake cops" they use to intimidate the victims are actually "real cops" off duty or retired. There I said it.
  5. You will pretty much need to start over I think
  6. I assume it would be temporary even if approved
  7. probably you mentioned living in a city that was not Samui so they rejected it, either say you live in Samui or fix your TM 30 address
