Why were we surprised when Russian invaded Ukraine, we had been pushing Russia further and further into a corner over the last few decades surrounding them with NATO nations who are against Russia, with Ukraine wanting to join. I suppose when the Germans for example were trying to invade the UK in the 2nd WW we should have just sat on our hands and let them?

There are many different types of women in the world, not just the stereotypes in your head. There is not a set of predefined rules to follow. You may pay for the bill at the restaurant and maybe she will then pay for a meal she has cooked with wine etc at her place, there are no set rules. There should be fun and laughter involved as well, it is not all about money.

But you have told me many times you pay your woman a certain amount each month to be with you, what is that then?

I see, women who are lying about being successful and after your wallet again? Genuine women are a nightmare to you as you have an inferiority complex and feel beneath real educated and successful women. "Thrill seekers, too, trips abroad, love expensive hobbies......." Yes I have come across women like that, they can do as they please as they have their own money to pay for such things.

I doubt if there and many bar girls with any sort of education so you will be able to compete with them very easily. Bar girls must be the most scheming of Thai women, any one willing to sell themselves are not the best of characters.

Try meeting a woman in person using your own personality, not through an app where the bar girls also hang out and pretend to be something they are not.

Or the pen had run out of ink, we can recharge an iPhone at the airport or on the plane. 😄

I was 49 at the time she died so I had already been well brought up and educated. Not all of us old folks are illiterate when it comes to smart phones and the like, especially after 40 years as a software engineer. Do you live in a cave and light fires by rubbing stick together?

Yes as was my experience when I arrived back in Thailand a few weeks ago. It took a few minutes to fill out the form and ten minutes to get through immigration. I nearly died of exhaustion and through the pure shock of the experience. 🤣

I wonder how that compare with other tourist destinations in the world, one dip does not constitute a trend. The number of tourist fluctuate in all countries in the world, plus the year is not over yet so we do not know what the final count will be.

I doubt it, she died twenty years ago. It is not an attitude though, it is a fact.

If someone does not have a smart phone it means they are far too old to travel or too dim to know where Thailand is in the first place. 😀

Exactly and yet the Brits and many others who live in Thailand complain at the cheap prices here, I can not understand it.

We have to fill in the new entry document online or via an app, it took me at least 3 minutes to fill out. 🤣

I went back to England for over five months from March to early September, I was shocked at the price of things. I went to a restaurant, nothing flashy, two of us, we had a main meal, she had two cokes, I had a few beers, cost £110 (4730 baht). Cigarettes £14.50 (623 baht), here 150 baht. Litre of Vodka £22 (946 baht) ,Phuket 420 baht. The price of food in supermarkets is at least twice what is here in Phuket. It is dirt cheap in Thailand but the moaners who gather on this blog will keep on moaning about the country. What sort of survey involves a few hundred people, it is more like a guess than a real survey. I have had quite a few friends visit from the UK and they did not complain about the cheap prices here, they thought it was well cheap. Moaners of the world unite. 😄

You will never know. Well off independent women who are successful in business do not hang around in bar-girl bars, so you will never meet such people, but carry on with the payments lad, keep your wallet on display, I am sure they all really fancy you for just being you. 😄

I have heard stories first hand from guys who went though buying a car, then a house, support for the parents and the rest and then ended up broke, why can the old guys not realise that nowhere in the world is it natural for a young woman to fancy an old bloke, it is the money such girls are after. I was actually taking the piss with my reply to a guy who was showing off as he was paying for a full time 24-year-old. 😄 Any of us could do it but I would rather stay happy with my older partner, she was much younger when I met her 25 years ago, but so am I in that respect. 👍

A sadist as well as having no feelings towards women emotionally, you must be a real catch😄 I prefer independent capable women, I don't want to be just an ATM to them as is the case with old blokes and young girls.
