I am 38, British, not working, no Thai wife and have been in Thailand since January last year. I currently have a one year Non-O issued in Brisbane which expires (ie last entry) in September this year. I will be visiting the UK next month and I am trying to decide whether I should get a new Non-O in the UK. Can anyone help my with the following:
1) Can I apply for a new one year visa when i still have 3 months left on my current one.
2) Are Hull and/or Birmingham still issuing one year non-O visas.
3) When my current visa expires would I be able to get a double entry Non-O in asia (eg Penang). I have 2 million Baht in a Thai bank and I am cuurently buy a Condo - the final payment for which will bring the bank balance to about 1 million.
4) Would the fact that I currently have a Non-O cause any problems if I applied for a tourist visit when it expires

I am under 50 -no marriage - not working.
I have one-year Non-im "o" issued in Brisbane. Given to me on the basis of 2 million baht in a thai bank and my plans to buy a condo. Issued in less an 10 minutes

I am buying a newly built condo and transfer is expected next month. I now have a Non-Im O but when a signed the purchase agreement I only had a tourist. Both the condo company and the agents said that this was OK and they took a copy of my visa.

My girlfriend has tested positive for HIV. She would not take a second test to confirm the result and has gone home to stay with her parents. Does anyone know where we can go for help/information either in Pattaya or at her home in Bruiram? What is the cost of Anti-Retoviral trestment in Thailand and could she get any help if she could not afford them

I only went to Brisbane after being in Thailand for nine months(ie the tourist visa had already expired). Brisbane took about 15 minutes to issue the visa

I am in Thailand on a two year career break. I got a 4-entry tourist visit in London, which allowed me to stay 9 months (it is valid for 6 month - on the last day you have final entry of 60 day then extend for 30 day). I then went to Brisbane and was given a one year multi entry non-im "O" visa, which gives another 15 months.

My budget is 80,000 baht per month. Normally no problem keeping within this except when I have a long term girlfriend

Thanks for your reply. I have a couple of additional questions:
- I am buying a Condo in Jomtien, which is due to be completed in October. I have already transferred funds for the purchase to a Thai bank account and therefore currently have more that 2 million Baht in my account. Would it be better to apply for a one year multi-entry now while a have the cash or when a own property in Thailand.
- Previous posts sugggest that I need a letter of guarantee form someone who if necessary would pay the costs of my repatriation. Is this necessary if a can should I cash 2 million Baht cash is a Thai bank? Who can this letter be from - Thai or Farang both OK? Bar girl acceptable?
I am beginning to think that I should go the Perth next week before the visa fees are increased

I am a British citizen aged 38. I have sold my house in London and what to stay in Thailand for about 3 years. I do not expect to work during this period. I am now on the last entry of a 4-entry tourist visa issued in London. I do not have a Thai wife and from what I can see I do not fall into any of the other categories for a Non-IM visa. What are the best options for visa? Will I be able to stay as long as 3 years on continued tourist visas?
My current plan is to go to Phnom Penh next month to try to get a double entry tourist visa and then in six months time to go back to the UK and try to get another 4-entry visa.

I sm thinking of a trip to Cambodia via the Hat Lek crossing with my Thai Girlfriend. Does she need a passport? I think Thai can visit for five days using their ID cards. Is this still correct?
