My understanding is the double entry tourist visas are very difficult to obtain in Cambodia but still seem to be available in Malaysia, other than Penang. However, no-one can guarantee anything at present. Any firm still offering "guaranteed" double entry visa is dishonest and should be avioded

I was looked at BKK to Macau on AirAsia which is now 1,150 baht plus taxes. Then Hong Kong to London on Oasis.

But I found a cheaper option for a visit to the UK in November. Sri Lankan Airlines currently has Columbo to London return for around £100 plus taxes. Add a return from bangkok to columbo and total costs including all taxes was about £300.

Just to be clear the changes that have been made are not to tourists visas but to the 30 day visa free entry. You can only stay 90 days in six months visa free. However, time spent on tourist or any other type of visa does not count towards that 90 days.

If you are over 50, a retirement visa is another possibility

I would suggest that you first go the the copy shop just outside the enterence. They will give you the form, copy the required pages of your passport and take your photo if required.

Sometimes immigration will ask you to come back in the afternoon or next day but as Pakboong sayes, I very simple process

You should be able to get a triple entry tourist visa in the US. This is valid for six months from issue. This means that your last entry using this visa must be within the six month period. Each time you enter Thailand will will be granted a 60 day stay, which can be extended in Thailand for another 30 days. If you make your final entry just before the visa expires, you will get a total of 9 months (ie 3 times 60+30 days)

Its on the coast. 4hr by bus from Phnom Pehn. 4hr by boat (or a bit more than than by road) from Koh Kong, which the closest border crossing to Pattaya.

The problem is not whether immigration will check your return ticket. It is whether the airline will permit you to board an aircraft if you do not meet Thai immigration requirement. If you are not granted entry the airline will be fined.

There is a Vietnamese consulate in Sihanoukville. Visa cost $35 and are available next day (I think you can get same day for an additional charge). No need to show exit ticket but you do need to state your departure point and need to go to immigration in Vietnam if you change your plan.

If you already have a visa, then the quickest way from Pattaya to HCM to take twice a week minibus to Phnom Pehn (I think run by Ko Chang Travel and includes overnight stop in Koh Kong) then bus Phnom Pehn to HCM. In total will take three days

If you get a tourist visa on entry then this can be renewed once for another 30 days. Then do a visa run to thailand.

Alternatively get a business visa on entry for $25 - no need to show that you plan to run a business. This can be renewed indefinately via agents. It is expensive (I think a one year extention is around $250) as the agents are required to paid tea-money. No such thing as re-entry permits.

The other option, rather than put it in a savings account is to put it in a fixed deposit, or a series of fixed deposits with different maturity dates. Rates for one year fixed are now 4.25% (or 4.75% for deposits of more than 1 million baht)

The rules are that you only need a return ticket if you use a 30 day visa waiver stamp. If you have any type of visa, including a tourist visa you do not need a return ticket. Immigration will not check your ticket but airlines will not allow you to board an aircraft to Thailand if you do not meet Thai immigration rules as they face fines if you are refused entry

The UK will allow anyone with this sort of problem 2 passports so you do not have to show the passport with the Visa in with to immigration of other countries. Not sure if the countries do the same

I do not konw how long you have been here. However, in case you have not realised Thai's tend to tell you what they think you want to hear.

Tthe website of the Hull consular in the UK, includes a new notice that says that its proceedures for issuing tourist and non-immigrant visa will not change. This presumable means that triple entry tourist visas are still available at least here

I have no direct knowledge but I beleive that Hong Kong might be one of the places that can be difficult about giving back to back tourist visas.

Have you considered a re-entry permit. Cost 1000 Baht. You will then be re-ammended to Thailand for the time left on were current stay without using an entry off your tourist visa.

I assume that the situation here is that you held a single ticket to a country where immigration requires a onward ticket to grant entry. AirAsia would not allow you to board if you do not meet the immigration requirement of the country you are going to.
