  1. wow...harsh lol How about you think....... I think Grusa is referring to the older trucks that give out vast clouds of black smoke due to age and lack of maintenance.
  2. Perhaps if they drove properly, not hog the outside lane either singularly or in convoy with other coaches, actually maintained their coaches and took regular breaks, then there wouldn't be a ban. Just a thought.
  3. Helmet, no problem, always wear. Passport, I don't carry day to day.
  4. The only reason I ask is that it's in case I get stopped by the police. Around these parts, they do pull bikes and scooters. And even chase them if they try to get away. Supposing I do get stopped and I produce the green book, tax disc, and Thai driving license, is that enough these days?
  5. If you want to catch them, you can buy the sticky pads from CJ or Big C. Just like the ones you buy to catch mice etc.
  6. I can't find the insurance document for my funky filano 😐 The insurance doesn't run out till November, so I'm ok there, but where do I get a replacement?
  7. But the man is a farang, not Thai and a foreigner, so a farang.
  8. It's true.As another reply said if it was a western farang then it would be farang faultand end of cas eand all forgotten
  9. And because it's not Thai, the Thai authorities will care even less.
  10. yes that is the idea
  11. thanks for the info, very helpful
  12. Any pointers on where to start?
  13. Looks like the two on the scooter were trying to get past the truck before it turned left. to fast, and the truck driver, was already committed to the manoeuvre could not see the scooter
  14. Forgive me if this has been asked before. Exporting bikes to England. Where to start? What paperwork is needed? Who to ask? ETC? Thanks for any advice
  15. Does anyone know much about growing Tamarind? I have some started from seed, and some plants are now a foot tall.
  16. No idea, but I was waiting in the usual traffic queue on Rama 4 the other day to turn right onto the Sukhumvit road. On the pavement, there were barriers with a sign saying no riding on the pavement and if caught 2000 b fine. Along rides a bike taxi that moves the barrier and carries on along the pavement. Of course, everyone sees this, and it's then a flood of bikes along the pavement. The time I was sitting in the queue, 200 bikes must have gone along the pavement. Imagine 2000b for each. No good putting up a barrier with no police sitting in wait to catch people.
  17. All I know about those 3 bikes is they seem to be the bike of choice for either young women who can't handle them due to the size or young men who can barely handle them, once again due to the size. All will be ridden at speed or revved to show off the loud exhaust. Nearly every one I have seen has been modified with a loud exhaust and various other items changed for the shiny aftermarket bolt-on goodies.
  18. This was posted on local Facebook groups and shows the CCTV footage. To me it looks like both drivers are to blame 50/50 Only two vehicles on the road, and both failed to give way/slow down/stop for each other. Both just carried on assuming the other would stop, then bang!
  19. big gaps there, I guess they used a ship or ferry a lot of the time?
