  1. Yes, I too agree, Messrs. Shinawatra has taken advice on his choice of host country whilst he is in a benine state of exile! And I believe the United Kingdom would not accommodate the extradition for many reasons already mentioned, including not recognising a none government state, certainly not a dictatorship ...........

  2. Dear Forum

Please forgive me if I am covering 'old ground' here, but can anybody tell me what percentage do the Land Registry charge to transfer Title Chanote

    Deeds.

But, in this case the owner will be transferring ownership to another member of the same family, living in the same property, and listed in the same Tabian(blue) bahn.

Confused! Yeh, so am I but seek your vast wealth of knowledge ............................................

    Kind regards FV

  3. Dear Postees

Thank you ever so much for all your useful information, I now have 2/3 options I can choose from. Its my visa that expires in one months time, and I will only need a extra 30 days then I will be leaving on business for four months. Upon which I will apply for another 1 year Non Imm O in my home country before returning to Thailand.

    Kind regards Bruce

  4. Dear Forum

My Non Imm O (marriage) multiple entry will expire in one months time. I need a further 30 days extension to this and enquiring whether or not this will be granted by doing a visa run. Because I only need 30 days their is no need for me to visit my Immigration Office, unless neccessary. Or, would I need to return to my point of origin to apply for a new 1 year Non Imm O visa.

    Kind regards Bruce

  5. Dear Forum

I would like to exchange cash GBP for cash TB in-country. Am I liable for any withholding tax if transitioned through a high street bank, if so percentage please. Also, should I deposit the monies in TB in a high street bank with TT3 receipt, will they withhold tax?

If their are restraints involved would it be a option for my wife (Thai national) to make all transactions, and what restrictions would be placed on her with regards to Tax.

    Kind regards

I totally agree, some of these postees are now out of their depth in their knowledge of how the Asian Tigers do business in this region.

And not surprising that some of these comments are coming from Tourists back in England professing to be expatriates on a foreign forum.

  7. Dear Forum

The fact of the matter is that this country was in steady decline any way, even before the tragic New Year incident.

The Military leadership are making it quite clear that foreigners are quite welcome to come and sit on their beachs for thirty days, but don't expect any other favours ...........................

Another fact is that because of the current political, and economic uncertainty, people and business's are leaving Thailand by the droves, and neighbouring countries are reaping the benefit. I personally wouldn't recommend anybody should embark on foreign investment in this current political circus.

Foreign Embassies in-country are receiving complaint, after complaint about the treatment of their nationals since this new so called leadership, but unfortunately they are unable to effect any influence! Even courts of Human Rights have been inundated with complainants that this leadership is seperating ligitimate families by not allowing spouces, and children to be together.

Its a sad state of affairs, I'm afraid and one should tread very carefully in Siam.

  9. Dear Forum

I recently visited Imm 1 @ Sathorn as my VOA was due to expire. I asked for a Non Imm O on the basis of marriage, as I have been married now seven years and had previous 1 Year Non Imm O visas issued at Thai Embassies out-country.

They gave me a three month extension and said that when I enter Thailand again, Immigration will stamp 1 Year Non Imm O, of which I paid baht 2,000 and blue receipt. They also said I will require a re-entry permit before departing.

I'm a little confused as Imm 1 was not very helpful and didn't have time to answer my questions as I have always been used to complying with the simple 1 Year Non (multi-entry) Imm O Visa (Marriage).

I don't stay in-country Thailand for the complete year, I visit for 2/3 months, and go elsewhere for the same amount of time. Therefore, will I require a Multiple re-entry permit before leaving, or a Single ????????????

And, as Imm 1 said, when I return will Immigration on the point of arrival stamp my passport with a One Year Non Imm O visa (Multiple entry).

I thank you in anticipation, and apologise if one sounds a little stupid.

    Kind regards FongV
