Suspect the Seal U suv will appear at the March 2024 Motor show Byd know the price of the DEEPAL S07 so will want to make adjustments to specs to bring seal u in at lower price

Never really understood why Thailand has 2 motor show's each year and only 4 months between each one

problem for auto manufacturer is they want a flagship model at each one hence seal this motor show and seal u end of march 2024

So there is a similar motorshow in march/april? Also at impact mtt?

Right opposite the main terminal, minimum 1 hour 25 baht if memory serves me correct. It can get busy though as the 1 day parking in there is not much more than the long term quite some distance away so its far more convenient. Dare say you would find a space that time of night though, probably nearer the top. You just walk across a bridge then up to departures. Well sign posted on the way in.

    Thank you!

    Ref PWC tax summary 2023

    Capital gains

Most types of capital gains are taxable as ordinary income. However, the following capital gains are exempt from tax:

Capital gains on the sale of shares in a company listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, provided that the sale is made on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, and on the sale of investment units in a mutual fund.

Gains on the sale of non-interest bearing debentures, bills, or debt instruments issued by a corporate entity, except in the case where the bonds or debt instruments were sold for the first time at a price lower than their redemption price to an individual.

Gains on the sale of securities listed on stock exchanges in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member countries and traded through the ASEAN Link, excluding securities in the form of treasury bills, bonds, bills, or debentures.

Capital gains and investment income earned by a resident from sources outside Thailand are not taxable unless remitted to Thailand in the year of receipt.

Capital losses may not be offset against capital gains.

I looked into this before, I was told must have a work permit (probably thinking that will get rid of me), then when I said I do have a work-permit they were saying "come back again". In other words they did not really know what to do...

    I never chase dit up.

You have probably already seen this, but if not it it may be useful..

I have 2 K Bank accounts in one province, one with a card, one without. Both on the K Plus app.

I am spending more time by the coast so I wanted to open a new account -  with a card, and linked to the app/internet banking. No problem for the first 2 parts but I was told they couldn't link to the existing internet banking.

Subsequently, I called the (excellent) call centre who informed me that the new account could be linked. I went back to Jomtien K Bank and gently pointed out that it could be done.

Kasikorn will tell you a second account with them is not possible, if you have a WP or are retired, you can open as many as you like - non-O, not possible.

I got one after many attempts, I got one helpline manager to see sense. I had 2M in one account, the same account I was using for Lazada and using the atm with a queue of people behind me, I just wasn't happy. She spoke to the branch on my behalf and they organized a second account for me.

They even said the same to my wife, who is Thai, she has a small business. I wanted her to keep our monthly expenditures in a different account to her business income. They insisted it was not possible - I tried to ask what provisions they had for small businesses or whatever, let my wife speak to them and we can try and discuss what they could do for her and ways to comply to get a second account. In the end they relented and gave her two accounts.

Maybe easier to find a different bank in that province that will allow you to open an account.

    Great info, thanks!
