All the Good Mangoes Must Be in Macau?
LeRoux replied to FriscoKid's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It was written without criticism. The biggest difference in costs are in Mass Plantation system, and massive quantity delivery to supermarkets. Both of these cost-cutting factors will make the quality more consistent, BUT! At a lower (and sometimes MUCH Lower) average Quality Level. How many different types of fruit around the world are picked "Very" Green, so that after shipping, they reach the Supermarket at the proper level of Ripeness? -

And you think "Local Market", but he didn't make that clear. Maybe his main "Purchase-Point" is Lotus's or Big C??? (Industrially Sourced "Fresh Fruit")??? -

Opinion Russian Teacher to Thais: Drop ‘Farang’ if 'Ni Hao' Offends
LeRoux replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If you greeted him with "Guten Tag" in your first few days on the job, it should be "Laughed Off". If after six months you used "Guten Tag", and it wasn't an inside joke, a reprimand of some sort might be in order. (Besides, Ni Hao was not said by an Employee, but a Tourist. That is quite a difference.) -

You make some good points, but it isn't only the Thais that use language as a shield for their views and sometimes malicious opinions. Anywhere you have such a condition ~ "Hispanic in the US" / Russian in Germany, / Polish in England / Whatever, ~ ~ There will be people using Language to hide behind. -
I have lived with and dealt with different cultures. I find your statement at the end to be most correct. Take responsibilities for your own actions. Stay within the laws and accepted norms. This, (and politeness) is a good policy to keep from finding yourself in a Jail Cell, whining for Sympathy on Some Internet Social Media Site. I cannot fathom the down-votes. (P.S. ~ you used the word "Floating". I think you were looking for the word "Flaunting".)

Swedish Man Sparks Airport Bomb Alert with Unclaimed Luggage

Maybe the bag had been used for delivering explosive ingredients to someone, leaving traces after delivery. Using the same bag for the return trip? Got caught by someone in the airport with a P.P.M. explosives inspection? (that is never used when you board the plane?) 🫢 (After all, Alfred Nobel is a Swedish Name.)🙂 -
