  1. Unless I'm need help getting up or in a hospital bed dying no man is holding my hand. I never understand the Mexicans racism. They are racist against gringos (white people) yet speak Spanish while at the same time those with the lightest aka European features are praised the most in their society. They usually hate the real natives, Amerindians way more then Europeans but less so than anyone with African blood even if they are Mexican. They dont like Asians, especially Chinese or Koreans as well they usually have a target on their backs the most and seen as easy prey, plenty of open and deliberate racism against them in Mexico. Although they have reason to be upset with the increase in prices due to influx of wealthier residence theyre still doing it legally, are injecting large sums of money into the area in the local business, not increasing crime or in the streets waving American flag, and are putting money into pockets of the Mexican landlords who they had no problem with before constantly increasing the rents until they started renting to richer non Spanish speaking mostly Anglo descent Americans. A little taste of their own medicine from what they've been doing to American workers for decades and presently on the US soil illegally coming in taking under the table jobs and taking up the social services. They can cry me a Rio Grande. But I enjoyed living in Mexico alot including CDMX didnt experience any racism or animosity, but a few were openly frustrated and annoyed when my Spanish wasnt adequate for them, fair enough.
  2. I've been in Thailand for years with so-so Thai language ability and Just recently had one Thai guy that I would consider a friend in any real capacity. Compared to my 2nd week living in Vietnam I made multiple "real" friends with local Vietnamese guys even with little in common interests, hobbies, time spent in the country or language ability with my non existent Vietnamese and their somewhat poor English ability. They've gone out their way to help me out with favors with and without asking, take a genuine interest in me, who I can hang out like friends back home just chilling over a beer or two everyday/night. They have refused to take money or expect anything in return the majority of time even when they done something valuable for me and rightly deserve something for it. Anything I manage them to take they're very grateful and appreciate of and not ask for more or expect the next time. This includes other nationalities like Russian, Mexican, Nigerian, Colombian, etc I've easily became good friends in a short period with during my travels and they would all be welcomed into my home and me into theres like family. Thai guys, who I absolutely no problem with and get along quite well with the vast majority I've come in contact with from all social standings (although mostly from lower to mid), the rudest thing or biggest conflict is sometimes being ignored or seeing them disinterested with interacting but majority of the time its big smiles and pleasantries. I havent really been able to make a connection with or would be able to rely on them for something thats not some kind of transaction or reciprocal altruism. Unless we have a common interest or activity like fitness, muay thai, motorcycles, we just dont seem to really click although I think the language barrier is still the biggest obstacle. Theres other factors at play, I think thats just how it is. Nothing against them personally no animosity. I do like and admire their personality and disposition of Thai males. And of Thai people in general, some of my favorite people in the world, the ladies in particular of course.
  3. For one I dont know why cannabis is still treated like a "dangerous narcotic" especially when it compared to tobacco which if she imported to the UK she would be perfectly fine except for maybe paying some customs fee. For two what kind of smuggling job is this and others that I've seen in the headlines? No discrete carrying an kg or 2 on or inside the person, or elaborately concealed in the luggage with a false bottom or inside an item disguised at something else. Just 2 giant bulky suitcases weighing over 35 kgs in total which is way more than any airline gives as a limit unless extra fee. Weighs more than all my possessions in one suitcase including my electronics and winter clothes when I'm traveling and I always carry way too much luggage. What kind of mastermind trafficking smuggling syndicate muppets came up with this genius plan? 🤣
  4. Its a little bit tacky, but its just a reminder that sex sells. No objections or qualms with me about someone like her doing this especially in a place like Pattaya. This is the kind of stuff where it should be perfectly fine and acceptable. Whats her line id btw?
  5. It always seems to be a "tip off" that these mules mostly get caught and arrested by. I've read many cases where that plus the airport officers know exactly where the stuff is stashed, going right to the bag or spot where its concealed, even those that carry internally seem to get sent to the xray and its all over then. Seems those in charge are more than happy to know a few lambs to the slaughter from time to time, and this guy probably knows little to nothing more than a couple of faces and fake names of anyone involved.
  6. 6500. Turn around about 4 to 5 business days. Thursday they picked up and Tuesday they dropped off. But no pictures at immigration and done at a very obscure immigration in the sticks of Isan. Unlike maneerat which does at Jomtien and physically takes you to immigration for pictures inside the office and significantly cheaper. But hopefully this is the last time I'll be needing this if the DTV goes through. Is there any real benefit to using an agent for that (legitimately)?
  7. I used Thai visa Centre for my 30 extension on my visa exemption in Bangkok. And unknown to me they did my extension way up in Isan. If known I would try to avoid but is there anything I should be worried about? Too late anyways
  8. Nor here. It can be done in shorter period of time then before in my experience. I think there is alot in between being an American citizen on vacation in Thailand (Pattaya}, losing your bank card, and stealing from donations to unprivileged, disabled, orphaned next to a police station. Alot of missing brain cells and morals.
  9. I've use http://www.vietnamvisapro.net/ to do my 3 months visas in Vietnam for the last year. They can do it very fast in less than 2 days for a modest extra charge. The website is seems sketchy with the door bell, "magic", and other sounds that seem from an old early 90s computer game that are incredibility annoying.
  10. I got a credit card shipped from the USA to Thailand in about 4 business days with DHL. And this has to be one of the most degenerate crimes, even by Pattaya standards.
  11. Hi everyone. Long time lurker first time poster wanted to add my recent experience in this. With a history of visa exemption/tourist, education Thai language (legit), the mistake of getting the dreaded V visa during covid(horrible decision that trusts friend suggested without knowing exactly) with a couple covid extensions. Over the last few years I'm been staying a couple months and a few months off being in Thailand. Even though its been 3 months since I was in Thailand I wanted no worries. I got the service from a well known visa agency thats starts with T (not sure if I can advertise. It was only around 2000 baht. It worked perfectly. Even with my plane being delayed the immigration officer casually escorted me to the side and the only question I was asked was if I had luggage so he told me the station that I could pick it up. Maybe 2 minutes max. I'd probably use this service just for the speed and not waiting in the crowded lines that can hectic and a pain. This is a temporary deal because I'm looking at all the options for long stay visas I'm glad I use this service especially hearing theyre more strict and people being denied entry. For reference I'm under 50 years old and American passport.
