I'm using Express VPN & having no luck being able to install the Freeview or individual channel apps. Still knows that I'm not in Oz after trying multiple servers. What VPN do you use?

I take it you have to use the app with a VPN & it streams okay? Do you run it through an Android box?

What channel are you talking about with no badminton?Anyone find the TV channel? Main event should be on at 10:30 am our time. I’ve checked and no badminton is scheduled for that time so we might get lucky

Unfortunately I can't remember. I've also scoured my True Visions TV guide & don't see it mentioned anywhere. Can you remember which one it was?!....
Channel 8 has been known to show boxing but there is nothing on their schedule.
Cheers

When you say 'TRUE FREE', is that an actual channel?
I definitely watched the first fight on a Thai TV channel on my True Visions box.

I went to Chang Wattana last month to do my annual extension of stay. I needed to get it done as quickly possible so decided to get there ridiculously early. The taxi pulled up outside the building at 5:30am. I was sure that I'd be the first person there, but couldn't believe my eyes to see about 15 people in an orderly queue outside the front doors (everyone was let inside the building at 6am). Would you believe the first bloke was there at 4:30 lol. It was worth it though. I got queue ticket no.15 at 7am & when the immigration doors opened at 8:30, got no.1 for my section. Was in a taxi on my way back to work at 8:45. So as you can see, it takes serious commitment to get out of there quickly when going in the morning lol. In the past year, I've seen other work colleagues do their extension of stay & not get it done until the late afternoon because they arrived between 7-8am. The queue outside is huge by then. It's just crazy how busy & slow that place has become.lol do peeps seriously take a taxi at 4:30am in the morning just so they can be there before 7am? Wow!My ideal time to arrive at immigration is somewhere in the morning between 10am-11am but that's me.

That's what my colleague first provided to the immigration officer, but they wouldn't except it & insisted on a letter. I guess it's just luck of the draw on what officer you get on the day. Pain in the arse really.I got a new Australian passport in Thailand (2 years ago), no letter but they put a note/sticker/stamp in the old passport saying "this is old passport, replaced by number 123456 etc, all visa's remain current etc".

When did you renew your passport & receive that letter from the Australian Embassy? I'm asking because a fellow Australian work colleague of mine went through this process a month ago. He had tremendous trouble trying to get this particular letter. He had a few inconvenient & time-wasting trips to both buildings. Immigration telling him he needed a letter & the Australian Embassy saying they dont provide them any more. After his third return trip to the Embassy the Thai consular officer finally gave him a photocopy of a letter from 2014 that stated that they don't provide these said letters lol. CheersYes you need a letter from your embassy ..When i did my renewal at Australian embassy bkk. They automatically gave me one .My daughter did her NZ passport online and was sent away from Jomtien Imm due to no letter .
NZ embassy emailed her one , next day ..pretty good.

1 bottle of jonnie walker red per month for me. 319 baht a bottle.
Lasts me about 2 weeks. Enjoy a quick snort every other day around midnight.
The real deal is more than double that price.

Contacted True Visions about World Cup 4K.
They said you need to swap the existing box for a new 4K receiver. Cost including installation is 2,000฿.
Free subscription to 4K channels including World Cup till December 31st 2018. After that, 4K subscription will be 900฿ on top of your Gold or Platinum package. Cancel at any time.
Seems expensive. So the entire cost for the privilege of having 4K would be in the region of 2600-3100 Baht depending on which package you have. That's ridiculous! I wonder how many channels & what content they will be showing in 4K after the World Cup to warrant that steep price? And do these new boxes have the PVR function like the HD boxes? Wouldn't surprise me if they don't.

I'm a big cricket fan & for the past 12 months have been using a dedicated cricket streaming service called crickethd dot netYep, unfortunately it seems to be pretty hit and miss lately.
I don't think I have any other decent options for the cricket though.
Works brilliantly through Kodi & a pc. I just buy a subscription when there's a series I want to watch.

I have to say their deposit time frames have been quite frustrating when I've done transfers. They have ranged from a very swift 15 minutes to nearly 24 hours & that's not during any holiday times. Right now I've been patiently waiting for 5 hours & counting.

Coinbase has got to be the worst exchange. If your not American then just use bx to fund back to fiat. You can do this using their daily limits.
If your American you can use 'itBIT' which is a highly reputable exchange and you can simply fill out a form to increase withdrawal limits to huge amounts. I just checked out their form to increase the limit. Its blank and the user can put whatever limit they want. Thus it would not take 6 months to withdraw 1m usd.
Do NOT use coinbase. They are rubbish and expensive....
So what are their daily withdrawal limits?

I have done over 3-5 million some days, no issues
Wow, good to know. How about any problems at the bank end with the large sums?
-
So has anyone tried withdrawing out of the exchange to a bank account over 250k? Is there a maximum withdrawal limit per transaction or per day? Can't seem to find anything about this on the website.

Same problem as the OP has happened to me with Dtac. Never had an issue for 4 years & suddenly twice this month got bombarded with 9 Baht sms's out of the blue. The Call Centre but a block on them the first time, but it still happened again yesterday. Funnily enough, they also changed their app a bit a month or so ago. Really hope I've seen the last of them!

Good advise. A few weeks back I set up my Thai bank account with them to get my money back and they immediately rejected the request as invalid with a 48 hour wait on answering tickets!
The only reason I was rejected was during bank account linking they need a jpg image of your bank book cover page. They don't say what format the jpg should be of course but I unacceptably sent a neatly desktop scanner grey-scale image of it. Not acceptable it turns out. They were happy with a crappier looking color photo of same book taken with my phone.
It actually only took 15 minutes to sort all by support ticket online, but they do suggest 48 hours.
The exact same thing happened to me too.

I did my first internet bank transfer to fund my account just over two hours ago. I followed their deposit procedure exactly. It says the deposit will be approved in less than 15 minutes but I'm still waiting. Also contacted them but no reply yet. Is this normal? Are they 24/7 or have business hours that I don't know about?
Cheers

The account was eventually funded after about 3 hours. I did do another transfer the following which only took 30 minutes, so the delay may have been because it was my very first transfer.

I can give you a bit of information about the PGA Tour coverage for this year. I called True Visions in January when the first tournament of the year wasn't on to my surprise. They couldn't give me an answer immediately and then two weeks later they finally called back and told me it would be on Golf Channel the following week. It was on that channel for the next two weeks, but only a 2 hour slot live and a couple of replays throughout the day. It then disappeared again, so I called them up. I tried to speak to someone higher up who could explain the scheduling properly, but I had no luck. The call centre lady could only tell me that the tounaments will be on some weeks this year , but not others due to 'copyright'. The months of February and March have also followed this pattern. So I can only guess it's got something to do with the US broadcasters - Golf Channel and CBS. When it's being televised on one of those networks (probably CBS) True Visions cant broadcast it. Rather annoying since they've broadcast the Tour week in week out for the ten or so years I've had a subscription. At least all the majors and WGC events are on Fox Sports!

I'm looking for anyone with recent experience or information (last 6-12 months) on having a vasectomy done at the PDA clinic in Sukhumvit. I'm planning to get one done there this month.
Some of things I'd like to know are:
1. What are the opening hours and do you have to make an appointment?
2.Is it still a donation or a fixed cost?
3. Is it best to lie about how many kids I have, so I don't get to get denied? (I'm 40 with no kids)
4.What were the nurses and doctor like and how did the procedure generally go?
5. How many days of rest from work are recommended?
And anything else that may help.
Thanks
Anyone using Truevision HD PVR box for recording programs?

I've been using this box with the PVR function for nearly 6 years now, when it first came out. Never had to pay a big amount like that for the box, just the ongoing monthly rental fee . I've had to replace it a couple of times because it wasnt working properly & they just gave me a new one. Im on to my second hard drive during that time & also never had to pay any 99 Baht monthly PVR fee. I'm a big tennis fan & True have very good coverage if you have the Gold package. All four grand slams are covered on two Fox Sports HD channels & the True Tennis HD channel shows all the ATP Masters 1000 & 500 tournaments as well as numerous WTA tournaments.
Cheers
