  1. Geez, this new appointment process just keeps changing...Out of interest, do they check through & keep all the documents or give them back for you to bring again on your appointment date? I'm on a marriage extension & going to assume it's got the same process since it's also a long term extension.
  2. That's correct...I'm pretty sure all the banks have this security feature...It's either a code by sms or scanning a QR code with the mobile banking app (some of the banks give you an option)
  3. Thanks for this important information...So you mean we have to go to the office approximately one month before to just book the appointment date & that's it? I would assume it's the same for a marriage extension as well as retirement? Finally, do you know if you can make the appointment by phone or it has to be in person? I'd rather avoid the extra 50km round trip if I can. Cheers
  4. No worries...It seems 30k is the limit & only Krungsri ATMs are capable of this (for overseas cards), unless some of the lesser known banks I haven't tried also have this limit.
  5. Over the last couple of years I initially tested my overseas debit card at 5 bank ATMs & these were the transaction limits I incurred; SCB - 20k THB Kasikorn - 20k KrungThai - 20k Bkk Bank - 25k Krungsri - 30k So it's Krungsri all the way for me.
  6. Is it possible to get one of these cards at all if you're just renting a property? Like with a 12 month or more lease agreement & a copy of the landlord's ID/house registration...Unfortunately I don't have a pink card or yellow book & my wife is registered at her home in Surat.
  7. That's nice to hear! Was that in the same or different province?
  8. You must have not had to go into the bank to do anything since getting the new pp then? Once you do, it will have to be officially updated & from memory it has to be at the branch that you opened the account.
  9. I'd appreciate if you could update how the process went at Samui immgration phetphet 😄 I was told the Australian Embassy also don't provide these transfer letters anymore.
  10. Was it in the same Province or a different one?
  11. No, it certainly hasn't always been the case at all...Sadly, it appears to be another new annoying implemention of the already pointless 90 Day reporting system.
  12. You updated your new passport over the phone without having to go in person to the original branch? Never heard of being able to do that. Which bank was this?
  13. The power went out in my area of Taling Ngam at around 11am yesterday. Felt like a planned outage as it came back on right on the dot of 5pm 🙄
  14. Nice report...I take it you also had to provide a copy of your housebook or the owner's housebook/ID card if renting?
  15. How about if you've worked in Thailand for a while beforehand & the 800k funds have been earned here, sitting in a local bank account for a number of years with no overseas transfer. In this case is your only option to apply for the Non 0 visa out of country?
  16. "Certificates" So you're getting 2 CORs & MCs because you're renewing both car/motorbike licenses? If you can report back if this was necessary or not that would be much appreciated. Cheers
  17. You will need your passport & the 'Affidavit of Right to Marry' document translated into Thai & then authenticated at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  18. I did a online 90D report on Sunday & got approved this morning, so hopefully the issues have been ironed out now...Very happy to not have to make the 25km trek on the motorbike just to do this 😄
  19. So no filled in form or passport copies required for in person 9OD reporting then?
  20. So how many different queue sections are there now? 1. 90D reporting / RE Permit / Residence Certificate 2. Short term visa extensions 3. Long term visa extensions Something like that?
  21. Now, any card purchase whether it's local or overseas, has to be over 200 Baht.
  22. I last physically used my overseas debit card at the 7-11 about 2 hours ago & have done so regularly for the past 2 years...Not sure why people are saying debit cards aren't accepted there...As long as your spending over 200 Baht there's no issues at all.
  23. For the record, I changed my Extension of Stay (which originally many years before was a Non-B visa) from employment with a work permit to marriage in late 2021 at CW...Needed an employment termination letter & work permit cancellation document to sort the first part out, then just applied for the marriage extension straight after that before the end of my stay date...From memory the bank funds did have to be in the account for the 2 months prior, which wasn't a problem in my case.
  24. You may be on to something...Krungsri & Kasikorn bank Nathon branches appear to have changed their name to 'Ko Samui' as well.
  25. Just to follow up what I asked here...I went for my extension on Thursday & the officer insisted that I needed to do a new a TM.30 because I left the country...I queried why & got it confirmed by another senior officer as well...Luckily, I had the online app on my phone & could re-register right there at the desk...Then printed off a paper copy downstairs without having to come back later.
