In India they have no problem wasting half a day to redirect you into a scam which they will profit next to nothing. Baldfaced lie to you as well even if caught or challenged. The educated classes are perfectly ok. They get somewhat bad rap for being cheap. Most of them that end up in Thai fleshpots are brokies, young.

This is funny, but I'm guessing it didn't happen. It's kinda rare a rental will give you more than a quick eye, rarely a smile precisely for this reason. If she's caught out the punter isn't gonna be happy and that might result in the end of the torrid $love$ affair then and there. My experience in bars on lower Sukhumvit is they wait till he's gone off to the head to get flirty. Dunno about Pattaya not lived there 20 years. Imagine nothing changed in that respect

Bicycles deadly. Motorcycles as well. Just no respect in Thailand. Funny, everyone sitting around on their phones forever like a bunch of zombies. Put them behind a wheel and they can't get to their destination fast enough. I've been hit twice by scooters in BKK. Nothing serious, but a total lack of respect. From my experience catching lizards in California as a kid... Come up on the backside out of its sight slowly and then GRAB IT!! If you don't get it out it will die bc there's no food for it. A few weeks back I found a tiny malnourished gecko in the condo. Easy catch

I started skateboarding at about 11 until about 16/17. We had an amazing street that ran downhill for better part of 2km. You could get a 30 minute uninterrupted ride from that hill. I never got into the tricks or skateparks, but was avid downhill enthusiast. I remember when the urethane wheels were born. We used to make skateboards in our parents garages. All that stopped when we could drive to the beach and go surfing and pick up the girlies hanging out at HB and Newport Beach. Good times those 70s.
