  1. I can't suggest a Gym as I use the one in my Condo, but to pass the 2-2.5 hour walk, I take my Ipad and either pre-load something to watch or fire up YouTube. Gym does have TVs in front of the treadmills but the only channels are news channels and after the first 20 mins or so you've already seen everything and end up watching the same news being repeated over-and-over.
  2. Edit: @DrJack54shared already 🙂
  3. Does Thailand actually stamp anything in your passport for missing a 90Day Report or do you just get a fine? I’ve never missed one & don’t know anybody who’s ever been fined when they have missed one so be interested to hear from anybody who has been fined whether they got a “Red Stamp” in their passport.
  4. If he re-entered Thailand on 16th July then this is his 1st report since re-entering Thailand so cannot be done online, he or (his "Agent") needs to do it in person, can maybe mail it in, but cannot do online. OP you'll have no problems leaving (or coming back) without doing the report but if it were me, I'd go pay my agent 100B to file it for me.
  5. Yep, but that’s per annum (and no doubt taxable), he was chasing 60-120% returns PA & common sense should have told him that any scheme offering those kind of returns is dodgy.
  6. Lol, I was thinking I’d rather move to Mogadishu than live in Mansfield. And I’m from Warrington 😳
  7. My Dad's best mate for over 50 years just died, I want nothing more than to go home to hug him (My dad) but I've been back to the UK in March & have none changeable flights booked for October.. Flip side it's not a lot of money to fly back for a few days (Mrs Spade's birthday is same day as the King on 28th July so I have to be back for that)... Honestly don't know what'sbest to do, Mum says leave it to October... Have you ever it had it Blue...
  8. Or maybe switch to an LTR Visa then there's no need to keep any money in the Bank in your name. Thailand Elite/Privilege visa would do the same job but I'd rather stick the cash into an account in her name than spend that sort of money on one.
  9. I use Bolt 30-40 times pm & I’ve never had a car turn up that was > 3 years old. If you’re concerned about it, book a Luxury Car (Have booked a few when times are really busy, not my idea of luxury motor but they’ve all been in immaculate condition). Now as for metered taxis, I’ve been in some really sh1tty cars & I don’t use them at all nowadays (Have contacts for trips to/from airport & when we’re going to Koh Samet / Chang).
  10. I've recently been through a very similar situation (also with a pension managed by Towers Watson) and their explanation to me was... The scheme's annual increase is on 1st November so any quote I had up until 31st October would have been calculated to include the 2025 increase & then discounted backwards from final pension age for taking it early. As I will reach final pension age before 1st November 2026 any quote I get for after 1st November 2025 will not include the estimated annual increase for 2026. The quote I have for October would not be what I would get as I would be taking the pension before the 2025 increase was applied so it would be reduced by the annual increase. At the end of the day, without pulling the trigger, I won't know exactly what I will get until after the 2025 increase is confirmed, but I do know that I would not get more by taking it in October. FWIW I've decied to leave it as-is until it fully matures, now I just need to decide how much (if any) PCLS to take... Hope this helps.
  11. Seems like the story is legit as it appeared in a major UK News Paper... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14870001/father-dies-pursuing-dream-Thai-boxing.html
