No one is going to bother you as long as you aren't trying to sell it on or to give it to anyone who is unaware. A good idea to not smoke. Personally I would use a process to remove dirt from the weed if making any kind of extract for personal usage, but I wanted to give you an idea that there is not much skill needed to create a simple extract. Some will even just sprinkle it on a pizza. The fat element on heating will activate the THC. Buying oils commercially is relatively expensive, but not necessarily unaffordable.
