  1. Here's what the Wall Street Journal says about those engravings. That is the source you cited, right? Early Bulletin Said Ammunition in Kirk Shooting Engraved With Transgender, Antifascist Ideology; Some Sources Urge Caution An early bulletin circulated widely among law enforcement officials said investigators found ammunition engraved with expressions of "transgender and anti-fascist ideology" inside the rifle that authorities believe was used in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk. But some officials later Thursday cautioned against reaching conclusions based on the internal report... Justice Department officials said the probe was in its early stages, investigators were still analyzing the evidence and the bulletin may not accurately reflect the messages on the ammunition. https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/charlie-kirk-shot/card/ammunition-in-kirk-shooting-engraved-with-transgender-antifascist-ideology-sources-pdymd1sXXMSlVRhpvR4b?gaa_at=eafs&gaa_n=ASWzDAiE7oh398JerkDP1BtwEco-xDeMpEZWpbdgdc0ykn_Ug6PiwlxTRFi6pKmCwsE%3D&gaa_ts=68c3ab92&gaa_sig=qvEDTyj9oXpjCO3BN9ihVx1e9miMQFRKWjjGuMwdiqEx3Do49TixpCaK8tYT6-pFJdbua--teea3dMHIjwzV6Q%3D%3D As for this: "The killer is young, college student age, extremely thin, wore all black clothing..." This is what you call evidence? Maybe in a kangaroo court.
  2. He's also managed to fire scads of experienced investigators because in some way they participated in the Trump investigations
  3. Or maybe so over the top that it might be a way of directing suspicion elsewhere? Until the shooter is found, this evidence is equivocal.
  4. A Democratic victory was never in doubt. What was significant is the margin of victory.
  5. The Bureau of Labor Statistics on Thursday said that the consumer price index (CPI) – a broad measure of how much everyday goods like gasoline, groceries and rent cost – rose 0.4% in August compared with last month, while it rose to 2.9% on a year-over-year basis. The monthly figure was hotter than the estimate of economists polled by LSEG, while the year-over-year figure was in line with expectations. So-called core prices, which exclude volatile measurements of gasoline and food to better assess price growth trends, were up 0.3% from the prior month and 3.1% from a year ago. https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/cpi-inflation-august-2025
  6. The BBC says members of a American biker gang known for its opposition to Islam have senior roles providing security at Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites. The report identifies 10 people working for UG Solutions, which provides security at GHF sites, as members of the Infidels Motorcycle Club, made up of combat veterans with an anti-Islam bent who “see themselves as modern Crusaders,” according to the British network... The leader of the pack, named as Johnny “Taz” Mulford, heads the group’s security operations in Gaza, according to the BBC... The BBC says it identified several members when Mulford accidentally included it in an email to fellow Infidels instructing them not to answer questions from the network. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/anti-muslim-biker-gang-linked-to-gaza-humanitarian-foundation-security-team/
  7. Israeli sources report that the U.S. signed off on the attack after inviting leaders to Qatar to discuss Trump’s Gaza ceasefire proposal. The Israeli Defense Forces said they were targeting a meeting of Hamas leadership, who were gathered in Qatar to discuss a ceasefire proposal put forward by the Trump administration. Israeli sources told multiple outlets—including CNN and Israel’s Channel 12 that the United States had prior knowledge of the planned attack. https://newrepublic.com/post/200186/israel-gaza-ceasefire-talks-hamas-qatar-trump
  8. Hotness is probably the single most important guarantee of success in the tech industry. Nerds need not apply.
  9. Maybe you would call an increase of 1.7% a surge. I don't think most would. As for the article failing to mention coal demand... "The country has not yet seen a decline in coal usage overall, though its total greenhouse gas emissions have reached what looks like a plateau." And here's the final paragraph: "Investment and production in clean energy last year contributed nearly $2 trillion to China’s economy, a figure which the report said was around one-tenth of the country’s economy as a whole, or comparable to Australia’s entire economy. The clean energy sector grew at a rate three times that of China’s economy overall, according to the report." In fact, Chines consumption of coal powered electricity declined by 5% in the first quarter of 2025. Its increase in coal consumption was due to a rise in its use by the steel industry. "China’s coal-fired electricity generation took an unexpectedly sharp turn downward in the first quarter of 2025, signaling a potentially profound shift in the world’s largest coal-consuming economy. This wasn’t merely a seasonal dip or economic distress signal; rather, it represented a clear and structural turning point. Coal generation fell by approximately 4.7% year over year, significantly outpacing the overall grid electricity supply decline of just 1.3%. However, electricity demand, a better measure, went up by 1%... Looking closer, the slight rise in coal usage within China’s steel sector reinforces this interpretation. Coal consumed for steelmaking edged upward by around 2%, driven by stable, slightly growing crude steel production. https://cleantechnica.com/2025/04/20/chinas-coal-generation-dropped-5-yoy-in-q1-as-electricity-demand-increased/ Renewables' share of electricty generation jumped sharply in 2025.
  10. And of course given Trump's deep knowledge and expertise in the field they will happily invest even more on his say so. And Melania was there to advise them on the off chance that there is something about tech that the president hadn't fully mastered.
  11. You've done nothing but make claims without providing any backup evidence. Why should any care for the comments of someone who just offers empty opinions?
  12. The article does not say China is getting 84% of its electricity demand from solar and wind. Try reading it again.
  13. What makes you think that I need to do a fact check? Do you think that this "But last year, China met 84 percent of its electricity demand growth with solar and wind power, according to the report. That meant it was able to cut fossil fuel use by 2 percent, despite a growing demand for power..." is somehow incompatible with your statement?
  14. From what I can see without viewing, these are the words of a fictional character written by someone who creates TV series. Why should I watch this? I suspect his speech makes no reference to the rapid rise of battery storage thanks to their precipitous decline in cost. And other storage solutions as well. Also the rise of geothermal power thanks, ironically enough, to the technological achievements of frackers. And there are other sources coming online as well.
  15. From the article: But last year, China met 84 percent of its electricity demand growth with solar and wind power, according to the report. That meant it was able to cut fossil fuel use by 2 percent, despite a growing demand for power... China is still building dozens of new coal-burning power plants, he said, but instead of running constantly like many existing ones, they might be at full capacity only during peaks in energy demand. Meanwhile, the contribution of wind and solar to the grid was quickly growing, he said. “Coal is increasingly acting like training wheels,” said Yuan Jiahai, a professor at North China Electric Power University. “It provides balance and backup while the clean electricity system gains strength and confidence.”
  16. Since the beginning of the industrial age, the global economy has required more and more fossil fuels — coal, oil and gas — to power growth. It is increasingly clear, however, that China’s aggressive efforts to sell batteries, solar panels and wind turbines to the world is on course to bring that era to an end, a new report says. The Chinese dominance of clean-energy industries is “creating the conditions for a decline in fossil fuel use,” according to a report by Ember, a research group focused on the prospects for clean-energy technologies. The report includes a sprawling set of data to support its claim. https://archive.ph/kRVro#selection-699.0-699.65
  17. If anyone wants to see how Fox News keeps it's viewers uninformed here's how it presented the story about the release of the documents: Bill Clinton letter in Epstein 'birthday book' among new files released by House Oversight Committee The House Oversight Committee has released another tranche of files related to Jeffrey Epstein on Monday night, which includes a message from former President Bill Clinton in the late pedophile's infamous "birthday book." The surprise document dump by the GOP-led panel came hours after Epstein's estate turned materials over to House investigators, pursuant to a congressional subpoena. Among the documents released by the committee is the reported book compiled by Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell for the late pedophile's 50th birthday. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bill-clinton-letter-epstein-birthday-book-among-new-files-released-house-oversight-committee Because the big takeaway in this release of documents is about a guy who was President 24 years ago and not about the current sitting one.
  18. If you're looking for desperation, start a little closer to home.
  19. I don't think you understand. Presence of evidence is evidence of absence. Does that make it any clearer.
  20. So, you are claiming that the media is still out of alignment with the scientific consensus on global warming?
  21. Yes, many of the clowns had much higher employment that has occurred under Trump 2.0. For instance, Joseph Biden. What rock have you been hiding under?
  22. Signs bearing President Trump’s name have gone up at major construction projects financed by the 2021 law, which he strenuously opposed ahead of its passage. In southern Connecticut, the federal government is replacing a 118-year-old bridge along America’s busiest rail corridor. The $1.3 billion project was largely funded by the 2021 infrastructure law that was championed by then-President Joseph R. Biden Jr. — and strenuously opposed by Donald J. Trump. These days, however, motorists cruising by the construction site might be forgiven for thinking that a certain famous New York developer was responsible for it all. “PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP” a sign by the road declares. “REBUILDING AMERICA’S INFRASTRUCTURE.” In recent months, a number of similar signs have popped up in front of major infrastructure projects financed by the bipartisan 2021 legislation, a $1.2 trillion package that Mr. Trump, who left office in January of that year, had passionately railed against. He called the bill “a loser for the U.S.A.,” and warned that Republican lawmakers who signed on could be thrown out of office by angry primary voters. “Patriots will never forget!” he wrote. https://archive.ph/15h1w#selection-657.0-681.11
  23. Did you actually read the article you cited? It's about how the media presented the scientific research. Not about the scientific research itself which overwhelmingly predicted global warming caused by human agency.
  24. Really? I offer a rational and pretty much undeniable explanation of Canada's recent travails and all you've got is "It's Canada's fault for being so useless."
