  1. Well, in a way it is giggle. Lots of believers in QAnon were there. And they were suffering from the delusion that if they invaded the Capitol, it would precipitate The Storm which would result in a restoration of Trump and military tribunals resulting in the mass imprisonments and executions of members of The Deep States Satan worshipping pedophiles and Hollywood elites. https://jacobin.com/2021/01/q-anon-cult-capitol-hill-riot-trump Sounds unbelievable now but you have to remember that there was a time when most Republicans actually believed that Barack Obama wasn't born in the United States and was ineligible to be President. Who was it who took over the unofficial leadership of that movement....? I've forgotten his name.
  2. What this proves is that despite Trump's repeated claims that ICE is out there to arrest dangerous criminals, the fact is most of the people it snags are nothing of the sort.
  3. Why a weak point? Since 1951 the USA had a treaty with Denmark that gave it virtually carte blanche to do as it pleases. In 2004 it was revised to give islanders an input. Up until 2025 relations with the locals were excellent. Of course, now....
  4. Because compared to this issue, the economy is just a sideshow?
  5. The article on which this post is based comes from The Free Beacon. Iit's it is the sort of dreck you would expect from them. If you want to get an idea of how this outfit operates, there's another article listed there about Kamala Harris' new home that is an exercise in misleading information https://freebeacon.com/democrats/kamala-harris-buys-8-2-million-seaside-mansion-after-warning-sea-levels-are-rising-due-to-climate-crisis/
  6. Not personal at all. I'm not speculating about your motivation or your national origin. It's based solely on evidence that you've provided in this forum. You have consistently and unequivocally supported these dubious prosecutions.
  7. His legal expertise? You're the one who's been championing the prosecutions of Comey and James. How have those prosecutions fared? Do you have any idea of how rare it is for grand juries to reject charges brought by federal prosecutors? Well, at least until now.
  8. He should change his avatar to Bubble Boy.
  9. You claim to pity the hate America crowd. Well that would be 70% of Americans according to this poll. Pitying over 200 millions Americans. That is quite an achievement
  10. Fine. Why do you pity the majority of Americans so much?
  11. If by woke, you mean opposition to American intervention in Iran, MAGA warriors are going to have to be extra heroic to prevail.
  12. That's a pretty lopsided poll. It looks like most Americans are in an anti American hate world. Which is strange because when you think of the roaring success that America has enjoyed lately, including the glorious liberation of Venezuela, I just can't understand why that would be the case. Why do you hate Americans so much?
  13. I remember when George H.W. Bush was widely condemned for encouraging Iraqis to revolt and then did nothing to help them.
  14. Well, if the price of oil drops, it will especially affect the balance of trade, since, if present rules continue to apply, crude will continue to enter America tariff-free.
  15. To believe many of the supporters of American intervention of Iran, if you're against the US assisting the protestors, that means you are a supporter of the Islamic Terrorist govt. of Iran. Well... New poll reveals majority of voters oppose US strike on Iran, say Trump has gone too far abroad A Quinnipiac University poll of registered voters found that 70 percent oppose U.S. military involvement in Iran, even if protesters there are killed while demonstrating against the Iranian government, compared to 18 percent who support military action. Opposition was mostly along party lines, with 79 percent of Democrats and 80 percent of independents opposing military involvement. Republicans were more supportive, with a majority — 53 percent — saying the U.S. should not get involved. The poll also found that 70 percent of voters think the president should receive congressional approval first before taking military action. https://www.politico.com/news/2026/01/14/trump-iran-foreign-policy-00728851 It looks like most Americans are basically unamerican. At least, according to hardcore Trump fans.
  16. Device that may be tied to "Havana Syndrome" obtained by U.S. government he U.S. government quietly acquired a device in late 2024 that officials believe may be connected to the debilitating condition known as "Havana Syndrome," which more than 1,500 American officials have reported experiencing since 2016, according to multiple sources briefed on the matter who spoke with CBS News. The device was purchased clandestinely in the final weeks of the Biden administration by the Department of Homeland Security's Homeland Security Investigations division, using Pentagon funding that exceeded eight figures, according to two people familiar with the matter. The device is portable, backpack-sized, and contains components of Russian origin, the two people said. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/device-havana-syndrome-obtained-by-u-s-government/
  17. Yes. And if it turns out that he didn't lie, as all the evidence revealed so far indicates, should heads roll at the DOJ?
  18. That the two blocs are about to sign that deal this week, after more than 25 years of negotiations, highlights how things have changed. America is retreating from globalisation, raising tariffs, and threatening to seize Greenland from Denmark, a NATO ally, after sending troops into Venezuela to kidnap its leader. Chinese competition threatens businesses in both Latin America and Europe, and countries are increasingly obsessed with guaranteeing secure supplies of critical raw materials, of which Latin America has plenty. https://archive.ph/0bh6T#selection-1161.0-1169.275
  19. Just interrupting my celebration to ask you, what name did you mean to type? Something like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1G-zvfegoQo
  20. No. He was clearly trying to kill the car. Not the driver.
  21. I think you're being unfair. I'm sure he will graciously acknowledge his error.
  22. Are you sure about that? Lenin: 1887: As a university student, he was arrested for participating in a student protest against the Tsar and subsequently expelled from Kazan University and exiled to the village of Kokushkino. 1895: Lenin was arrested in St. Petersburg for his work on the "League of Struggle for the Emancipation of the Working Class" and for distributing illegal Marxist literature. He was jailed for 14 to 15 months and then sentenced to three years of exile in Siberia. 1914: At the outbreak of World War I, Lenin was in Galicia (then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire) and, as a Russian subject, was briefly imprisoned by Austrian authorities before being released and allowed to travel to Switzerland . 1917: After the July Days uprising in Petrograd, the Provisional Government issued a warrant for Lenin's arrest, accusing him of being a German agent. To avoid capture, he went into hiding and fled to Finland in disguise, rather than being formally arrested and jailed at that time. Hitler: The Crime: After his failed 1923 coup in Munich, Hitler was charged with high treason. The Arrest: He was arrested two days after the putsch, on November 11, 1923. The Sentence: He was sentenced to five years in prison, but the lenient judges allowed him a public platform during his trial, and he was released after serving only about nine months, in December 1924.
  23. Just spin? No facts cited? Well, I would love to see the Iranian regime ended. But what is Trump prepared to do given the paucity of substantial US forces in the area? And what about if US attempts fail? What is he prepared to do for Iranian people facing the vengeance of a regime enraged by US intervention? Will he allow fleeing Iranian refugees entry into the United States? Or will it end up like it has in Venezuela? With 2 people removed but the regime basically intact?
  24. I think so too, actually. And Trump is trying to help it along by sticking to the oil industry in America. Way to go!
  25. They just resigned over a shooting that happened years ago? Really?
