  1. You mean if the US acquires Greenland those laws will still be valid and unalterable? What's your point?
  2. US president’s friend Ronald Lauder – who first proposed Arctic expansion – is now making deals in the island Like many of those around the president, Lauder’s policy suggestions appear to intersect with his business interests. As Trump has ratcheted up his threats to seize Greenland, Lauder has acquired commercial holdings there. Lauder is also part of the consortium whose desire to access Ukrainian minerals appears to have spurred Trump to demand a share of the war-torn country’s resources. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jan/15/ronald-lauder-billionaire-donor-donald-trump-ukraine-greenland
  3. And what has that got to do with your claim that Trump wasn't serious about taking over Greenland? What is that got to do with his threat of imposing new tariffs? You still think he's bluffing about those tariffs?
  4. Really? Epstein Birthday Letter With Trump’s Signature Revealed An image of the letter bearing Trump’s signature, which has been turned over to Congress by the Epstein estate. https://archive.ph/3gVMI
  5. Your mind reading act is wearing thin. Aren't you the party who claimed the Trump was merely trolling when when it came to his threats about Greenland.
  6. I should know? How could you honestly know? In fact, it's just a reflexive nsult on your part with no basis in fact.
  7. I guess riclag didn't notice that ICE was targeting specific illegal aliens who had been convicted of crimes committed in the United States. And it doesn't look like they were wearing masks either. Apart from those minor quibbles, great call.
  8. Then why is it covered with a white powdery substance?
  9. You mean it isn't?
  10. Whatever the merits of your points may be, I still wonder why Yellowtail even asked the question. It seems he has evaporated rather than answer it
  11. You really got to get out more. God knows where you get your information from.
  12. Well, you got me there. But you still have explained why you asked that question. Why do you think it's significant?
  13. The fault with your comparison is that you asked if there were any Canadian car manufacturers. That is different from manufacturers of Canadian cars. The first formulation is ambiguous because the adjective can be applied to either "car" or "manufacturer". The second is not. So what makes a car Canadian? It is where it was manufactured or where the HQ of a company is based? It is a pointless discussion. And you still haven't answered why you raised that point? Why do you think it's significant.
  14. Given that it has manufacturing facilities in Canada, it is a Canadian car manufacturer. But why do you think this is a significant point?
  15. You need to be more precise in what you mean by Canadian. Especially given that the question doesn't seem particularly germane to the issues.
  16. Massive use of the ignore function is certainly a way to keep oneself blissfully ignorant.
  17. From Gemini AI In early 2026, Canada’s automotive manufacturing landscape is dominated by five major international companies, all of which operate facilities in Ontario.1 While there are no major Canadian-owned mass-market car brands, these manufacturers make Canada a top-ten global vehicle producer. The "Big Five" Manufacturers in CanadaCompany Plant Location(s) Primary Models Produced (2025/2026) Toyota Cambridge & Woodstock Toyota RAV4 (Gas & Hybrid), Lexus RX, Lexus NX Honda Alliston Honda Civic (Sedan & Hybrid), Honda CR-V (Gas & Hybrid) General Motors Oshawa & Ingersoll Chevrolet Silverado (LD & HD), BrightDrop Electric Vans Stellantis Windsor & Brampton Chrysler Pacifica (PHEV), Dodge Charger (Gas & Electric) Ford Oakville & Windsor Ford Super Duty Trucks (Starting 2026), V8/V6 Engines
  18. Yet all these "threatened" nations are against Trump using the military to topple the Iranian govt.
  19. From Gemini AI: 2. How Robotics Drives the Cost GapThe cost difference isn't just about cheaper labor; it's about how robots are deployed to eliminate waste and speed up the "factory-to-driveway" timeline. Vertical Integration & Automation: Companies like BYD manufacture their own batteries and semiconductors using in-house robotics. By removing third-party suppliers, they capture the margin at every step. This integration reduces battery-related manufacturing defects by 40%. "Dark Factories": China has aggressively pioneered factories that can run with minimal lighting and heating because they are 100% operated by robots in key areas. For example, Xiaomi’s Beijing Superfactory utilizes over 700 robots for everything from stamping to final quality checks. Scale of Installation: In 2024–2025, China installed nearly 300,000 industrial robots—roughly ten times the volume of the United States. This "mass-automation" brings the per-unit cost of robotics down, making it cheaper for a small Chinese factory to automate than for a mid-sized American one.
  20. There are plenty of EVs in China that sell for a lot less. than $30,000.
  21. Your argument seems to be that because a car company has to begin somewhere, it can't begin at all. How does the situation in Canada differ from the situation in Europe a few years ago? BYD entered the European passenger car market in 2021 in Norway. Today it is the 3rd largest EV make in Europe and is growing the fastest. It had triple digit growth in 2025 ranging from 167% to 225% depending on the month.. And this despite the tariff of 27% . Most of Tesla's EVs for sale in the EU are manufactured in Germany so don't have to pay a tariff. Even those that are manufactured in China pay a tariff of only 17.8% Right now, the chief constraint is that only 49,000 vehicles from China will pay a low tariff. But given the likelihood of strong demand, I'd bet that the big Chinese players will build plants in Canada to avoid paying high tariffs. Already 3 chinese manufacturers, including Volvo, Polestar, and Tesla are approved as roadworthy in Canada.
  22. Because Trump is widely celebrated for choosing people who are in no way sycophants? People who will stand up to him and tell him what he doesn't want to hear no matter what the cost to themselves?
  23. And instead award it posthumously to Attila the Hun.
  24. President Donald Trump is calling for arrests of Biden administration officials tied to the abuse of the autopen under President Joe Biden, the type of ominous message that has preceded Justice Department action in the past... "Every one of them should be arrested for what they have done to our Country," Trump's statement concluded. "They didn't win the Presidency but, when you think of it, neither did Joe Biden. "The whole thing was RIGGED. There must be a price to pay, and it has got to be a BIG ONE!" https://www.newsmax.com/us/autopen-justice-arrest/2026/01/17/id/1242535/ Compared to his latest tariff hijinx, this seems nearly sane.
  25. Even though I suspect Trump will retaliate by imposing tariffs on them.
