  1. Wow, where did you learn all those?
  2. Yes agree. But why does your Driving Licence, National Health number etc, keep the same one. I think that in Sweden, you get an ID number at birth, birthdate followed by a 4 digit odd number for male, even for girls, and that's you for the rest of your life, Passport, DL, almost everything. Easy.
  3. What is this Bht 740 you mention please? Never been asked to show any cash in last 15 odd years.
  4. Not the guy from Fawlty Towers?
  5. What is the difference between a new passport and a renewal, which should, by definition, have the same number. Is it not the same form to fill in, I ask?
  6. Nah, I need a good laugh now & then.
  7. I DID? If so, I was wrong, very few food and booze shops close at 5pm
  8. Agreed, slightly off topic, but triggered by an earlier mention of Thai electricity and appliances not being safe due to lack of earthing. Sorry, GROUNDING if you are from over there
  9. Said what? No booze after 5pm, or they close at that time. The big ones open at 8am and close at 10 or 11pm.
  10. OK, take my comments as being about us poor ones who cannot, or do not want solar power. On the normal grid electricity, is the earth not connected to the neutral every other pole.
  11. What does it need? What is it doing which it should not do, or vice versa?
  12. Why then do you not quit our ranks if you don't like some of our comments, the same way many do not like some of your posts.
  13. I did read somewhere on AN that the Thais regard their electricity supply is different than the rest of the World, where earthing is mandatory. Most appliances here only have 2 core cable, and sometimes an earth pin, which is not connected to anything but fresh air. Not that it matters until the Earth leakage jobby in your fuse box (OK, Consumer Unit) decides to go on strike.
  14. ALL? I have things with metal casings, PC, breadmaker, oven, microwave........enough? The rules in Europe and UK say that sockets MUST be earthed. Lucky to find 3 core cable here!
  15. Oral B IS a major brand made by Proctor & Gamble.
  16. Bo11ox to Political Correct. I had Robertson's jam with a Golly on the jar, I still call a spade a spade not a digging implement. And used to go down to the P--i shop for my beers at 15 years old. Great imes.
  17. except by hairsplitters looking for an argument in every ????? of their posts
  18. every ONE of their posts. How's that for splitting hairs? 555
  19. Who would buy electrical/electronic stuff made in a country where they cannot even earth their mains sockets. 555
  20. Yep, you got it right. Clever you.
