Trump Warns Iran: ‘Fire And Fury’ If Hormuz Strait Is Blocked
Trump is such a moron. Nothing like the five time draft dodging, diaper wearing toddler man claiming "death, fire and furry." You know it's the "fury" part that they really need to fear. This idiots little tantrums combined with the traditional Republicans hard- on about Iran will draw the whole world into a recession. Trump's claim that it will be ..."virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back as a nation" is also ridiculous. Iran (Persian) has been around far longer than the US and my guess is will continue to be around for some time to come. If the Europeans and the US had stayed out of meddling in the Middle East in the first place, maybe Iran wouldn't have had thier current terrible regime. The claim that Iran is the biggest supporters of "state sponsored terrorism " needs to be re-examined. Yes, the current Iranian regime is responsible for supporting some questionable causes that have led to innocent human death (I am in no way supporting thier actions); however, the largest supporter of state sponsored terrorism today is by far the US and its military industrial complex.

Naked German Tourist Tasered After Koh Tao Rampage
Maybe he got lost on a walk from his clothing optional accommodation. Didn't have a phone (nowhere to store it), so he borrowed some ladies phone, then borrowed a motorcycle to try to make it back to his accommodation, but decided that a kayak was faster. All just a misunderstanding. 🤣

Russian Man Arrested for Illegal Cannabis Operation in Pattaya
I have a interesting question. I am assuming that this individual will end up in the Bangkok Hilton for this kind of offense offense. What kind of visa do foreign nationals receive in prison? Is there a special incarceration visa that I don't know about? Do they have to do 90 day reports or yearly renewals? Is there a special "work visa" for prison labor or some kind of "sweetheart " visa if one becomes a plaything for a Thai mobster? Or do you have to pay for an overstay for all the days one ends up incarcerated? 🤔

Naked Foreigner Arrested in Pattaya Linked to Speedboat Theft Attempt
I am always baffled by the number of reports of naked white dudes (usually) out and about in Thailand. Is there something about the environment that causes this desire to tear off one's clothes and run about? Is there some social media thread that advertises Thailand as the place to flaunt ones birthday suit? Truly an interesting phenomenon.

German Tourist Heartbroken as Thailand Trip Axed
I completely agree with you that this was an illegal, imperialist attack that was unprovoked. Unfortunately Trump is causing chaos in the Middle East. I am not for this war in any way. I was simply stating that at this time, there are many people in far worse shape than this poor tourist who has to reschedule his flight to Thailand.

American wants to marry a Thai national. What are the legal steps
Just to add to that...if you renounce your US citizenship, you will still need to pay taxes to the US government for 10 more years - gotta love the USA. 😀

CoR at CW for Non-O visa things (TDL, Bank account etc)
We were able to open a bank account at Bangkok bank a year ago with a passport, visa letter (LTR), CofR, and US driver's license. However; a year later the account was frozen and then canceled as we didn't have a yellow book or pink card. They didn't accept a Thai driver's license, bill with address listed or new CofR. I would streer clear of Bangkok bank as they got caught in money laundering with scam accounts and since then have become very difficult.

Israel annexes part of Lebanon
The only real "evidence " of any of this is in Christian and Jewish religions texts. These are not historical documents. Even if your argument had merit, that must mean that native Americans and first peoples have the right to kick out any one in the US and Canada who don't have native blood. Isreal was given to the Jewish people to atone for the horrors done to the Jewish people during WWIi. That doesn't give them the right to inflict genocide on the population already living in the area. It certainly doesn't give them the right to expand thier nation based on some fable of them being the chosen people. I have nothing against people of Jewish fath (I find many of thier teachings and traditions quite interesting and admirable) ; however, I do not support the ruthless actions currently being carried out by the nation of Isreal. Many people agree and that doesn't make me or them supporters of terrorism (or Ted Bundy.)

German Tourist Heartbroken as Thailand Trip Axed
I rarely ever say this, but really - this is a story! You have to be full of a sense of importance to take multiple pictures of yourself at your house and whine about your canceled vacation when people in the Middle East are stuck in airports that might get bombed trying to find a way to safety or are hunkering down in buildings or underground tunnelsto avoid drone attacks. But, the real victim of this tragedy is poor old you who missed your vacation in the sun!

Why call it "Operation Epic Fury"?
First of all, I am not a fan of the Iranian regime (niether are any of the other people against this war); however, I am not sure the Iranians will be "liberated" when thier country is blown to bits and their people are starving after our continuous bombing for 5 or 6 weeks. Additionally, Trump has already said that he is willing to work with surviving members of the Iranian regime if they will make a "deal" with him. Much like in Venezuela, where we removed Menduro (a government that was terrible for the people) but instead of helping them with a new election or bring back the democraticly elected leader, Trump made a "deal" (we know beneficial to him) with the vice president. So, the people of Venezuela get to keep the same <deleted>ty government, but US intrests are maintained. In that case Trump also promised he would liberate the people, so much for that. In our last endeavor in the Middle East to use military action to remove a tyrant and liberate the people worked out so well with Afghanistan. We "liberated " the people from the Taliban, continued to fight them for 20 years with lives wasted on both sides only to leave them with - even worse Taliban leadership. US intervention in regime change and promises to liberate the people never work out. Actually that is how Iran ended up with its current issues - the US removed a democraticly elected government in Iran, that wasn't giving us what we wanted, installed the Shaw, and the people revolted.

British Suspects Remanded Over Pattaya Safe Robbery
What else are you going to do when you are young with no job trying to live in Thailand and support a ganja habit. They were just trying to be entrepreneurial.

Dual Pricing Debate Clouds Thai Tourism Outlook
Sorry. That sounds like a pain. I knew that it was a still a bit of difficulty, but thought that being married to a Thai would make it easier. I have looked into the requirements fora yellow book and even if we bought a house there would be challenges as we can't own land, and I don't have an original birth certificate. I have never needed it as my first passport was me in my mother's arms at age 3 (they used to do that) and my subsequent passports were based on that first one. In the US I never needed it as I have always had a passport and it is all I have ever needed to show in the US. But, somehow Thailand wants an original birth certificate. I first came to Thailand at 17 and lived with a Thai family for a year. Since then I have returned and lived here many times (including with my Thai family 3 times.) We recently had our bank account frozen, then closed because we didn't have a yellow book or pink card even though we use my family's address for drivers license etc. I can't use their address for a yellow book as I am not related to them through marriage (even though they have been part of my life since I was 17.) We want to be part of this country and culture, but if we can't even maintain a bank account..... Your difficulty getting a yellow book makes it sound even more unattainable and difficult.

Thailand Prepares Evacuation Plans Amid Middle East Tensions
At least the Thai government is trying to help its people. The US government (parts n of it anyway) knew this conflict would begin (they had it planned months in advance) and knew the consequences for US citizens in the Middle East, yet did nothing to warn US citizens before the attack and tells its citizens in harms way to hunker down.

Foreigners Clash Over Thai Woman in Pattaya, 2 Stabbed
The previous story was about a Thai woman marrying two foreign men. These guys just need to work out a similar system.

Dual Pricing Debate Clouds Thai Tourism Outlook
It does not work that way. In order to get a pink card one needs a yellow book (house book for foreigners.) A yellow book and susiquent pink card are fairly easy to obtain if you are married to a Thai. My husband and I have a ten year visa, should be a verified reason to stay in the country, but because we are both foreigners and don't yet own a house, we cannot get a yellow book and a pink card.

Coconut Crisis: Prices Crash to 1–2 Baht, Minister Orders Support
I guess I need to start eating more coconuts here in Thailand. They used to be for sale along the roads in the Northeast, but now i do not see them as often. When we traveled to Rachaburi last year and i was impressed buy how delicious they were. I love coconut water while I am here in Thailand, but it is terrible when you buy it in the states - watered down and tasteless. The package will say "100% Thai coconut water", but I assume that there is a lot more water than coconut. I refuse to buy it in the states.

Are We Heading Closer Toward Utopia or Dystopia
Thank you. Your response is well written and through out. Your comments about how Ai will start with specific occupations and the "boiling a frog" are I think unfortunately true and can already be seen today. I also agree with your comments about those under 35 for whom watching TikTok or social media all day can be considered a meaningful life is also mostly true. I hope that the end depressing "final solution" is not inevitable. Although, it is amazing to me that with all the various stories and movies we have about the end of times - when computers (machines) take over, we still seem to be mostly embracing AI as a wonderful ideas and solution to our problems with little to no oversight.

I can't take it anymore..............
Not sure i understand the last sentence references to Trump was about; however, I completely agree with the bank issue. We had our Bangkok bank account frozen then closed after just a year as we didn't have a yellow book or 3 year lease agreement. I am not sure how one obtains a yellow book or 3 year lease agreement without a bank account (not married or living with a Thai.) We don't have to technically have a bank account with our visa (LTR). But, it is still a huge pain in the ass, and I don't know how someone with another type of visa (marriage or retired) does any of this without a bank account. Thailand adds all this extra paperwork, extra documentation, etc in order to stop scams and criminals and from what i can see all it does is upset and anger people who are just trying to live their lives and follow the rules. It is ridiculous that someone married and living in Thailand for numerous years still has to go through that much hassle every year.

Students Clash with Weapons on Ayutthaya Road
It is sad to read about these incidents between students especially when many seem to be so young. I don't understand what motivates this kind of behavior. It definitely needs to be addressed both in terms of legal repercussions and parental involvement before it escalates to loss of life.

Billionaires’ low taxes are becoming a problem for the economy
Your side seems to think that using the term "leftist " or "woke" automatically nullifies anything anyone else points out. Now I do understand that these terms often used by your "dear leader" have gained traction in your circles, but please define what a "leftist" really is or what the word "woke" really means.

Billionaires’ low taxes are becoming a problem for the economy
Your statement just shows how little you understand about US government and law. Biden did not raise taxes because a president does not hold the pursestrings of the government (hence the recent Supreme Court ruling on Trump's tarrifs.) Congress is the only branch of the government who can write law (including tax codes.) A president signs a new law, but cannot write law. Before you start blasting your mouth off about politics, you might want to go back, read and understand how the US government works.
