I have the covid extension stamp under consideration and to return to immigration on the 24th June. I may have to leave Thailand before this date.
Can I leave with this stamp without overstay?

Not today, but I went on Wednesday. No embassy letter needed
I went today to Jomtien. No problem. No letter needed. Don't know why they are asking in Si Racha.

I went to Si Racha immigration today for extension. They said I needed embassy letter. Has anyone been to Jomtien today? Can you confirm no letter needed?

Is there any update on this? Did you make the trip Smily with parking at the border? I'm considering doing the same next week with the family. Too much hassle taking the car over to Penang, when a train goes every hour. But would like to know for sure there is a secure parking area at the border as we'll be 5 days on Penang. And what are the distances to walk (parking - Thai immigration - Malay immigration - Pedang B train station on Malay side)? Thanks!
Hi, Yes I did the journey last week. I arrived at the border and asked where can park. They let me park inside the border control area on Thailand side and just asked for tip. Gave the security guard 500b and left car there for 2 days.
No problems. Not that many spaces there but it did seem like there was another car park across the road. Very quick through border, barely no traffic there, got motorbike taxi to the train station for 50b. Was about 1km. Train leaves every hour up until 9.15pm last one. Takes two hours to butterworth. Then get shuttle bus from butterworth to ferry to georgetown.
Last 20km drive to padang besar has some small roads and a few turns so good to have sat nav. My phone internet was playing up so got lost a few times.

Would be worth trying Ohm cars. Have a shop in Chaweng Noi, Lamai and Maenam. Get all my car work done there. ideally speak to the boss himself to get a better deal.

Raja also now have a late ferry at 10.30pm. As far as I know seatran finish at 7pm. Ferries every hour on the hour all day from 5am.

You don't say where you are from and if you are supporting any particular country, but if you have a laptop then you can watch all the England matches on http://www.teatimetv.to/. This free site appears to have all the UK Freeview channels and all England matches are on BBC or ITV. There is also the ability to watch the 'overnight' matches with catch-up.
If you're backpacking though I guess you won't be hauling a laptop around with you
As for watching other countries, I don't know. But as others have said at least some of the matches will be shown on all the free Thai channels. Not sure about getting English commentary though.
A list of the free Thai channels showing the games here: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/detail/sports/30347651
All three channels have English commentary on the true tv box with free/basic package.

No problem watching the late games in Samui. Bars here open until 3am. Many bars advertising for showing the games.

I registered on Foursquare a long time ago. Now my business shows on the map for apple. I assume they take the data from there and update every so often. They also have other partner sites as mentioned earlier where they take the information from.

Ok cool. Thanks very much for the info.

Thanks for the info.
To be honest I would prefer to park at Thai Border and take a bus or train. A lot less hassle.
I was thinking about pedang besar as the train st is there with commuter train every 1-2 hours to Butterworth,.
My main concern will be if there is a good secure parking area or not and how much it would cost? If anyone has any info on that would be good.

Hi,
I am considering visa run to Penang next month by car. I understand its too complicated to bring car into Malaysia, so was thinking about parking at Pedang Besar and taking the train.
Has anybody done this route before? Do they have a secure overnight parking area at the border?
If doing this route also looking for people to share the journey, costs etc.
Thanks

I have changed my card twice. But still cannot use the card to make payments on spotify and trip advisor.
It was working ok a few months.
The card is a visa debit card. It has been registered also for verified by visa.
The bank says no issue on their side and the online sites say no problem on their side.
I can use the card ok on lazada and ebay and atm etc.
Anybody experience this issue?
I also tried my gf card which had the same problem.

Yes i think what i was wanting to get was a new 1 year multi entry visa.
This can only be obtained as far as I am aware after you have a single entry 3 month visa.
I am the shareholder in the company but work permit expiring in Juluy seems to be an issue. Maybe just have to get another 3 months then get new work permit and then back again in July for 1 year.

I thought that Dan Auto only did tax. But will check if he does tihs. Will be much easier than going to Surat.

Car is registered in rayong province.
Its currently in Thai owners name. I can put the car in a Thai name also if easier and less hassle.

I currently have a 3 month Non B visa issued in Penang in January. I changed from Non O to Non B at that time as divorced recently.
Now I want to get 1 year extension again in Penang but accountants are saying its not possible without work permit valid for at least 8 months. My work permit expires in July and my 3 months expires in April.
Is this correct?
Any ways around this?

I have recieved all documents from owner of car for transferring. Blue book and transfer form. Can this only be transferred in Suratthani and not on Samui? Dlt in lipa noi say I have to go to Suratthani.
Anybody any experience with doing this and where is the office and how long it takes etc?
-
Thanks. Was thinking something like that. Do you know any agents? Will check with my accountants anyway in the meantime.

Navigo Samui is an app available that has metered taxis. The fares are less than regular taxis but still more than normal in other areas. At least no haggling and you can see the estimated price in the app before booking.
I think also grab taxi is available now in Samui but I have not used this.
Leaving during under consideration period
