  1. Hey, maybe you even booked one once but you never knew it

My first ever trip to Patpong, few years back and I saw a very beautiful 'girl' on the stage. She noticed me looking at her and came over. When she said, ' Sawatdee Kha' in a voice deeper than mine, I realised I had a guy on my knee.

I had a friend that was caught out. Back at the hotel room, he noticed she wasn't quite right down there, said it 'looked like an open sore'.

Maybe they're real good, I can't tell you this as I've never tried.

  2. If no surgery just ask her to drop her mini skirt and check
    Just ask? C'mon.
If she has a really nice butt, check for butt augmentation surgery

Hmm. How? Just ask or 'demand' she shows you her butt. Bud, I think you're going to get a kick in the balls from one of these girls if you demand this. Good luck!

How to spot one. They tend to over-exaggerate female 'sexy' moves - like swaying their butt when they walk. They also gesticulate wildly, with limp wrists. Once you've seen one you'll understand. Oh, they screech like a parrot when they laugh too.

  3. Koh Samet was good last time I went. No car over there though, you have to leave it parked up in Ban Phe.

Koh Chang's well worth it, good beaches, mountain scenery etc. much further away though. You can take the car over too. I visit Koh Chang for a 'break' every 3 months, do the visa run at the same time.

  4. I was riding my little moped one night and the girl I had on the back - who had a mobile phone around her neck - drew attention of some local punks. We'd stopped to eat at some food stall and they must have noticed the phone, just hanging there. They rode up alongside as we were setting off and snatched the phone, then kicked the bike, trying to knock us off, but failed. I'm over 6' and a big guy [ not fat ] These 2 little Thai's didn't think twice about taking on me.

Talking to friends, I soon realised this was a very common thing indeed, much of it is never reported. You certainly should try to be aware that these criminals scope public areas for people with gold, phones, bags etc., attacking later out of the public places.

One guy I know had his front teeth knocked out by a mugger that decided it was easier to steal from him if he was unconscious. Be aware, just like you would at home in some ghetto area.

  5. Hi,

I think you were unlucky with the VIP coach before.

I've been on quite a few long runs on the VIP, BKK - Hat Yai, BKK - Phuket etc. The coaches were always modern, even the drivers seemed better... older guys that drove with some sense, slower sure, but no corners on 2 wheels.

But then, maybe I was lucky!  :o

The 2nd or 1st class train is also very good idea. 3rd, as mentioned, is not.

  6. Hi,

Last time I flew from Amsterdam to Thailand, 2 years ago, I had a one way ticket and no visa. I worried too when I found out the rules about entry requirements and with 2 days to go, I not have the time to get the visa.

So, I reserved a ticket, via the net, and printed out the reservation for a flight to Phnom Pehn or somewhere like that. My idea was that if I was stopped by immigration, I could talk my way out of it and bluff them.

I got in ok, but only after needless worry about getting turned away. Imagine having to sit on the plane for another 11 hours just to go back if I was to be turned away.

If you get a visa, you eliminate the worry. I will in future for sure.

    Regards,

  7. Hi,

I found it a breeze to open savings accounts, but that's all I can say.

As I didn't need any more than that, I never looked into the requirements for a current account, so can't throw any light on  the subject.

The main banks seem to issue a debit card with the savings account, but not a credit card. I would think to get a current account and / or credit card would require much documentation.

Only the banks can tell you what's on offer, what's needed etc. Most of us get different treatment depending on many things anyway.

  8. Hi,

I found it easy to open savings account with Siam City and Bangkok Bank.

My account with Siam City Bank gave me an instant ATM card - but only useful for inside Thailand.

The Bangkok Bank account gave me an ATM / Visa debit card - not a credit card. A big benefit is that you can use this card abroad, so if I go 'home' to the west, I can get at my cash from over there ;->>

I think the Bank of Ayudhaya also offers debit card on its savings account. Most of the banks have pretty good websites.

Bangkok Bank, for info is good...

  9. Hi,

I opened a savings account with Bangkok Bank just the other day. They needed to copy my passport, but were uninterested in my 'o' visa, it seemed. 1,000 Baht got me an account [and a free gift]. I went to one of the sub-branches inside the likes of Tesco.

Prior to this, 2 years ago, I opened a savings account with Siam City Bank. Didn't even have a visa back then and no hassles. Even got my ATM card there and then.

    Regards.
