  1. After reading your comments and listening to nonsense from expensive suppliers, I'm more inclined to consider buying all the gear myself and finding someone to help me. The problem will be finding someone locally with enough knowledge about solar systems. I can install all the panels on the roof and fix the inverters and batteries to a wall, but there's no way I'm up for wiring it together.
  2. That seems so cheap compared to some of the other brands. Does this inverter allow you to feed the solar energy back into the grid? I'm usually away from home for several months of the year and so thought using PEA buyback would make sense. Although I've heard PEA aren't accepting any new buyback at the moment.
  3. Do you have any recommendations for a 5Kw inverter to go with this battery pack?
  4. This looks a lot better than my best quote so far, that consists of 6 12v Lifepo4 batteries with a one year warranty! Thanks for sharing.
  5. Yes, some of the suppliers have already priced for an on grid hybrid inverter, and some say that will cost more than their quoted on grid inverter, but still the inverter supply price difference shouldn't be more than THB10-20k surely. Unfortunately I don't have the electrical knowledge to DIY, and I don't trust employing an electrician to install only. I've read about people ending up with systems that don't work. At least with a reputable supplier you have a chance to get it right first time.
  6. I'm also planning on installing a Hybris 5Kw single phase system with 10KWh lifepo4 battery storage. I've been asking for prices from several solar companies. Most of them start off at THB160-180k for an on grid system, then when I ask for batteries, the price goes up from THB250k to THB350k. I understand there are a lot of different batteries out there, but most that I've seen are between THB40k and THB70K so I'm wondering why the massive increase in price just to supply and wire in some batteries? Apologies now for my lack of solar knowledge!
