Tried to make a thread like this in the IT section but got no response.

I have been looking for a internetcafe that has games like WoW and other new PC games and of course computers strong enough to run it.

So far, all internetcafes I walk into only has thaigames and some old farang games.

Is there a place that has what im looking for?

Accident on Jomtien Beach Road

A speeding pickup truck collided with another truck on Jomtien Beach Road resulting in an accident.

On 4th April the Dongtan police were informed of this accident, so quickly radioed the Sawang Rescue Team to ask for assistance to take the injured to the hospital before going to the scene.

At the scene the team found the damaged Isuzu and Mitsubishi pickups parked beside the road.

Witnesses stated that the driver of the speeding Mitsubishi took his wife on a motorbike taxi to the hospital since she bounced out of the truck and was seriously injured in the collision. The witnesses also stated that both husband and wife seemed drunk.

The owner of the Isuzu truck was waiting for the police. He said that he works at a restaurant not far from the scene and parks his truck here every day while he works. When he heard the loud crash he ran out to find that it was his truck that was hit.

In the meantime, their truck was seized and the police are waiting for the couple to give their statements after they return from the hospital.

his wife eas so seriously injured that they all went to hospital on a motorbike taxi........yeh right.....not flling the scene to sober up then !!!!!

Another Motorbike Stolen in Pattaya

Mr. Paul Harkins, aged 50, from England reported to the Dongtan police on the evening of 28th March that his Honda Wave motorbike had been stolen from in front of the entrance to Jomtien Complex Condo.

Mr. Harkins stated that he is retired and lives in Soi Khatalo and recently bought a motorbike to use as transport. On that day he drove to see some friends at a bar located in the Jomtien Complex area so parked it near a security box at the entrance and locked it properly. About 1 hour passed by; he noticed that the space where he parked the bike was empty so walked out to look and found it gone.

The police radioed out to make a search for this bike but had no luck. Mr. Harkins is very surprised at how fast these crooks can steal especially from in front of a security guard box! Lucky, the insurance that this man bought for the bike still had 2 days left before it expired.

. Another part is the carelessness of many motorbike drivers since they don't properly chain their vehicles or use any extra equipment to lock their vehicles. If they were more careful then surely about 50 % of this crime should reduce – the other 50 % is left for the police to solve.

Our reporters checked that during February 2007 the statistics of stolen motorbikes and cars in Pattaya was over 300. This means that about 10 are stolen per day

Russia man drowns on Jomtien Beach.

These still pictures were taken at 2pm on Thursday Afternoon on Jomtien Beach. Police Major Chaitar from Dongtan Police Sub-Station was called in to investigate a foreign man who had drowned. The victim is Mr. Bozes Pushkazev aged 59 from Russia.

An inspection of the body was made and no signs of visible trauma were found. Other beachgoers stated that he was on the beach alone and was seen in the water floating face-down moments later. Attempts of reviving the man were unsuccessful.

His body was taken to the morgue where a full autopsy will take place. For now Police theorize he either suffered a heart attack or cramping while swimming. The Russian Embassy who are still working on the recent Russian double-murder case which also took place on Jomtien Beach, have been informed.

R.I.P. I hope he dosnt get branded as hooker on this thread.

Woman threatens to take her own life with a meat cleaver in Central Pattaya.

Police and rescue workers were called to the Tawan Beauty Salon on the Central Pattaya Road at 10.30 on Tuesday Morning after the shop owner, Khun Arirack, informed the Police that a woman who lives in a rented room above the shop was sitting in the corridor and was threatening to kill herself with a meat cleaver.

Police were told that earlier that morning she had perched herself on the roof of the building and was threatening to jump but Khun Arirack persuaded her to come down. She mistakenly thought that was the end of the problems.

Eventually the young woman, Khun Min aged 23, was disarmed and taken to the ground floor where she appeared in a confused and mentally disturbed state. It was decided that for her own safety she would be taken to Banglamung Hospital for an assessment of her mental state.

I switched from Chang to Cheers because I liked the taste and from Mehkong to Sang Som because of fewer psychotic episodes but I would be interested in the opinion (both learned and uneducated) of others.

Englishman Bitten By Local Dog

On the 17th of February at 3.20am Dongtan Police were informed that a foreigner was bitten by a dog and his arm was bleeding and the victim was at Pattaya Home Decor Office on Thepprasit Road.

Police arrived to find Mr. James Spear, aged 52 from England sitting in front of the office. He had been bitten on the arm rupturing a blood vessel. He was quickly sent to Banglamung Hospital.

Police questioned the owner of the dog and he said his dog was normally good as gold and that his dog had never bitten anybody before. He also stated he keeps his dog chained next to his office where he and his wife live.

Before the incident occurred he was asleep. However he was awakened by the sounds of his barking dog coupled with the crying of a man shouting out in pain and requesting help.

Mr. Spear told Police that he had been enjoying himself in Pattaya. He had simply tried to say hello to the dog and the dog not understanding English had gone for him.

Mr. Spear accepted that it was probably his own fault and agreed to pay for all medical treatment and jokingly offered English lessons for the dog.

Mentally disturbed American detained as he threatens passers-by.

A bizarre story now from the front of the Golden Beach Hotel on Pattaya Second Road. Police were called to the location on Saturday Morning after hearing of a foreign man who was threatening passers-by for no apparent reason.

Police arrived and detained Mr. Richard Clarke Fettes aged 53 from New Jersey, USA. Although many at the scene found the mans actions amusing, it was clear that Mr. Fettes, a retired doctor, was suffering from a form of mental illness. He was later taken to Hospital by a rescue unit but remained in handcuffs as a precaution. Mr. Fettes has lived here in Pattaya for more than 4 years and according to friends, he has been displaying unusual behavior for the last 3 days.

The cause of his mentally disturbed state is unknown and he is now in the hands of doctors who are liaising with the American Embassy in Bangkok.
