  1. Trying to obtain documents you require by using phone or email is a waste of time in Thailand.  I would advise you to secure the service of a lawyer to obtain documents you want and be careful choosing a lawyer.

You can read through the Thai laws concerning distribution of an estate.

If your father left a will for his Thailand estate and you are not mentioned then you have no chance receiving any inheritance.

  2. The below is from Honda European news release on a 250cc Forza Z in 2004.  The OP's link is also a European new release for the 2018 Forza.  Does the new Forza in Thailand have the S-Matic or C-Matic CVT?

The electronically controlled Honda S-Matic offers the rider a dual-mode (D-mode, S-mode) automatic or six-speed manual transmission. The six-speed manual mode shifts as well as changing between D-mode and S-mode can be toggled with a switch located on the right-hand side of the handlebars. A signal from the ratio switch is fed to the Honda S-Matic transmission ECU, and the control motor is operated with sensor signals to change the position of the drive pulley, effecting gear change. Further, in six-speed manual mode, the unit automatically shifts down to first gear when the scooter is stopped. This allows the rider to enjoy the convenience of an automatic combined with the sportiness of a manual, all in one bike.

  3. My GF says its a paper from the Pattaya court.  Your were convicted of drunk driving and were given two options.  Option one was 1 month in jail and pay 2700 baht upon release.  Option two you are on probation for 1 year and must report 4 times and do total 20 hours community service.  It indicates option 2 was applied/selected.  The rest is about where and when you report.

She's not sure what if anything might happen because you ignored order and five years have passed.

  4. I use the 800k method and when I send money into Thailand I always get a copy of the Credit Advice/Receipt from the bank for my personal records.  My receipts show I requested transfer, source of funds and intermediate bank and routed to main Bangkok Bank branch and they deposit baht in my account.   It reflects dollar amount sent, bank fees and exchange rate.

You might try going to your bank and ask only the person that handles foreign currency exchange (I never ask regular teller) for a copy of Credit Advice/Receipt.  Show them your bank book and point out which transfer/transfers deposits you want Receipt.  Once you have these receipts take to person that generates bank letter and ask them to generate letter stating dates and amounts shown on receipts.  I would think they could generate letter using bank book if code indicates foreign transfer deposit.  My Bangkok Bank book code shows it as foreign transfer.

  5. I need to renew my US passport which expires in August. New rules state that after 1 July all renewed passports will be mailed rather than available for pickup at the embassy. How early can I process my application? I know that the embassy provides a letter to take to immigration to allow me to have my visa stamps transferred but if I get me new passport after my visa expiration is that a problem?

Basically I am asking if I can apply for a renewal one month in advance.

    Thanks in advance!

Always do mine 6 months before it expires.

I'm guessing that your building is quite small.

Could Quickbooks deal effectively with a building with 1000 units, with all the associated monthly billing of utilities that entails? And the yearly issuing of car parking stickers etc.? I dont think so.

Any of the desktop versions would have no problem dealing with 1000 condo units and all the necessary accounting requirements.  The practical limit Intuit gives is 14.5k units so it maintains speedy report generation.

We currently issue monthly consolidated utility bill that includes electric, water, telephone, cable TV and internet.  Condo maintenance fee is billed twice yearly.  It also handles all vendor bills and payments and of course bank deposits and checks.

We don't deal with parking stickers but I can think of one easy way it can be done.

KittenKong I sent you a PM.

When I looked at that it couldn't really handle condo billing. It's more of an accounting package, which is not at all the same.

It is an accounting package designed to be used on many types of businesses out of the box so it must be setup for your particular application.  In the case of condo's it takes very little time to configure for all condo needs (billing, bill payments, bank accounts, petty cash, etc).  You have to use Quickbooks to fully appreciate its capabilities and how easy it is to use.

Our condo has been using it since 2008.

  8. Our condo uses English version of Quickbooks Enterprise. I do not think version is available that allows switching back and forth between English/Thai. Our Thai accounting person has no problem using English version.

It does everything else you mention. It also has something called audit trail that cannot be turned off. It records any entries that are made in Quickbooks which makes it easy to know who has made a mistake and what was changed including time and date.
