  1. Can't you get silicon implants in Thailand that don't have a 'replacement time'???

Otherwise it sounds like a bit of a scam to me.

Part of the FDA approval letter on silicone breast implants includes the fact that they are not permanent devices.

Multiple surgeries (throughout a lifetime) are required even if leakage or capsular contracture (hardening) does not occur.

The longevity of the implant varies between individuals.

  2. Hello

Im wondering whether any site members have had any experience with partners of going to thailand for breast surgery, my partner has silicone implants which are getting close to replacement time, so she wants some sort of replacement or removal and reconstruction

Im wondering which ones are reliable well known clinics in bangkok or chiangmai, and what the average cost is for such an operation compared to £4000-£5000 in the uk

    thanks

Is your partner a Thai national...

Pricing for Thai people and foreigners is different.

  3. I have recently hired a new employee (Thai). Her English skills are sub-par for the position she is filling.

However, due to her expertise in the required field, I feel as though learning English would be a better

route than finding someone else with better language skills.

What kind of rates can I expect to be paying for private tutoring?

Should I get a discount for buying lessons in bulk? (which I will be doing)

What kind of qualifications should I be looking for?

Is there a teaching method I should ask about for speedy learning?

Feel free to PM me with your qualifications if you feel you can assist us with learning English.

  4. Me yes.

Open source could mean easier hacks - I bet we'll see the G1 not too long after the launch in the U.S.

The design of the hardware looks spartanic, plasticy, but then again, better a better software.

The hardware stems from HTC... Long list of goodies, but early reports are not good.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

  5. I just spent the past 24 hours there and it's one well oiled machine. In Australia I have spent a lot of time in ER with accident prone children and know you can wait hours. Therefore I was impressed to be seen by the attending Dr at the ER within minutes of arriving at Bumrungrad. I was given the 'optimum' list of tests that could be done for my injury but they happily accepted that I only wanted the basics to first establish the extent of the injury. When it came time to pay and checkout they were a little slower but nothing compared to waiting in line at a public institution back home.

And although language is no indication of medical ability, when I was in pain and upset it was really nice that all the staff could speak english.

Well I never been to that hospital but one of my friends form Australia had laser surgery done to his eyes and he thinks that was the best thing he ever done in his life, all the staff was professional and helpful and the price was less then a quarter what he would have paid in Australia and he had a nice holiday at the same time

Interesting. LASIK eye surgery must be quite expensive in Australia.

From a price point, this is one of the very few procedures we recommend having performed at home.

  6. So has anyone gone out and done this? Checked out any of the places on the list yet? Please let us know! Thanks.

If you are right in town, the Asoke outfit is probably better.

A little more expensive than the ones out in the sticks though.

  7. I've got to go for a medical next week at Bumrungrad Hospital and was thinking of driving myself as opposed to getting a cab. Can any one give me easy directions from Pattaya and more importantly is it easy to find?

    Thanx in advance :o

Spare yourself the headaches and take a decent aircon bus, it's actually very civilized and relaxing and the journey takes just as long. Bumrungrad is, as you probably already know, near to Ploenchit and Nana BTS stations, just off Soi 3 at Sukhumvit.

Agreed. And the buses from Pattaya will drop you at the Ekamai BTS station.

Doesn't get much easier than that.

  8. HI

Any know if this card is in Thailand, cant find it in Phuket, if, how much

    Thx a lot

    Wouldn't hold my breath.

I remember when the 8 gig came out, even after its release

it was pretty tough to find for quite some time (in Bkk).

  9. Damo.

Had it done in Singa years ago. Thousand bucks at the time. Would not recomend it as my teeth were SUPER sensitive for a long time afterwards.

Just go to a dentist and get them to make a tray of your teeth and use the home kit. Takes a few days, but you have more control, so if your teeth start to feel "seaw", then you can stop for a day or two. Girlfriend used it and had great results.

Agreed. The enamel on your teeth is vital to their longevity. If your teeth are already prone to cavities, laser whitening certainly will not help.

Price - Well under 500 USD
