  1. Why is it played over 2 legs?

    Home and away.

    Away goals count for two.

The game where the Aussies played the second leg was in Saudi ... there were apparently 40 supporters and one female.

I read it was 14.. They are very selective about who gets visas.

  2. Some bizzare comments. If I needed to go to Amsterdam I too would use Schipol, but if I was going to London, Heathrow would be best. Peoples fascination with airports is equally odd, they are in effect bus stations with overpriced shops and restaurants, so why people are so emotional about them is beyond me.

    Its quite simple.

Some of us use smaller airports as our final destination. This means I have a choice to fly to London....Amsterdam...Paris etc from my regional airport then on to Bangkok.

Of those I prefer Amsterdam as I don't have to mess around between different terminals or walk for thirty minutes to find the gate.

I'm considering it and I live in London. Just that I know I would have to go on a crawl if I was going to Amsterdam. No way I could go there and not stay the night.

  3. No complaints other than about the rather unfriendly immigration officials.

Coming off the plane into the land of smiles those people are the first Thai you come in contact with.

I sincerely hope the new executive will take note.

Generally this is true, but which country does have smiling friendly immigration officials?

Last time through I had written the wrong visa number. I was very surprised when the immigration officer pointed it out in perfect English (calling me "sir") with a big smile and helped me put the correct number in.

I guess he was probably new....

Yes, they aren't there for customer service. It's good when they are pleasant though.

  4. What was the first thing to spring to mind for you? For me, and I am sure many others, was the question, "Was he muslim?"

No, to be perfectly honest the first thing that sprang to mind was that this will be assumed to be Islamist related by many (deleted) and that it probably isn't.

If it turns out to be not associated with Islam at all, I hope a few of the bigots will reflect on that and realise there are sickos everywhere, even (especially?) in America.

Ya gotta love these liberal types that have their heads in the sand even though stuff is so clearly in front of them this guy is probably like those that went to work in syria and then would wonder why they are being kidnapped and beheaded JUST NO CLUE.

It is revealing that the liberal thought crime police are on the case so quickly. But if 100 people were asked to play word association and were given the word decapitation I suspect a the first word thought of would be Muslim or Islam.

There's the difference between 'liberals' and right wingers. 'Liberals' think and right wingers react without thinking.

  5. Shocking! Appalling.

    There are sickos everywhere.

Of course the media is going to jump on this and of course there will be an immediate assumption of Islamist-related bile. I suspect though that this will turn out to be simply a sick man.

There was one in London recently where a mad bloke beheaded a woman. Had earlier been chopping up cats as well.

  6. Not much to like about the Chinese regime, but the way they seek to keep religions in their box is a good thing.

Yes, harsh punishment and even the death penalty for religious believers. What a wonderful thing! blink.png Maybe they'll find "boxes" for other people, too. Yippee!

No, just the religious types. No need to victimise people unfairly.

  7. Let them all go, whether it's to fight or marry a fighter. Just don't let them return.

This was subject of news today in Australia and apparently it is a violation of human rights if a woman is prevented from marrying who she wishes and going to join him wherever he maybe. They also say it is a violation of human rights to stop anyone from travelling to any place ISIS maybe. It is also claimed to be a violation human rights if countries prevent them from returning home. I think Human Rights clubs need to stop being so politically correct and wake up and smell the roses.

I wouldn't worry about their rights once they have joined up with ISIS. If they try to come home, detain them, remove their identifying documentation, then send them back to Iraq and hand them over to the govt. All done secretly of course.
