That footrest part of the seat looks a bit of an uncomfortable angle for sleeping.
lol who in business class goes to sleep. Its for enjoying to the full
So getting actual sleep and effectively shortening the flight isn't enjoying it to the full?
Or do you enjoy sitting in a chair in the dark that much?

lol who in business class goes to sleep. Its for enjoying to the full
i do! it's the only reason i fly business class.
what are you 'enjoying to the full'?
i must have missed out big time.
let me know, please. i don't wont to be a gold member and be ripped off.
Same with me. If I can't afford a premium seat, I can't afford the trip.
Well thats just cutting your nose off to spite your face
I don't see how. Spending 12 hours each way feeling miserable defeats the purpose of the holiday.

There is little difference in comfort between Thai and EVA. Both are good enough if you can get a good price. Neither are particularly comfortable.
I'm longer/wider than most and got some sleep.
HUH?
Fully flat is not comfortable enough for you?
Geez!!!
It's more comfortable than a bed of nails, but not something you would normally want to sleep on.

The only reason this IS becoming a disaster is the way it's being handled (or not handled at all by those who should be handling it).
None of this is good thus far. I have a disturbing feeling it's started as it means to go on.
The whole brexit started many years ago as a power game in UK. There was a need to please the Eurosceptics to gain votes.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-eu-britain-finland-idUSBRE89H19J20121018
Cameron was eager to prove his view that everybody loves EU that he announced the referendum vote. He was 110% sure it would be a jog in a park. After all, all the previous votes had been successes.
Cameron was dead wrong. He did not understood how sick and tired ordinary people were about the UK politics. These people wanted to show that they have power and voted against Cameron.. as well as the EU which Cameron supported.
The populists saw the opportunity and used the agony of British people for their own gain. They wanted power. They wanted to rule the UK. For the populists, there is almost nothing what is considered as beyond fair play. It's ok to lie, it's ok to make false claims. It's ok to do pretty much anything to gain votes and manipulate people's minds. The populists did exactly that.
So, now we are in this mess. UK people don't really wish to leave the EU, but they have voted to do so. How to manage the unbearable situation? The situation which very few people actually wants. Some old sods do, but they are in minority.
There are different ways. One is to have a second referendum. Another easy way out is to get Scotland to veto the result.
Then there is a possibility of general elections. The newly elected government wouldn't be obligated to follow the promises to obey the results of the advisory referendum poll.
On top of all this, there is the EU. EU might see Brexit as an opportunity to make EU a more functional entity. It might be happy for the referendum results and the fact that UK is out of the EU's core.
I'm with the EU, but I'll be sad for the good folks in UK.
Yes I agree with you I should think the EU once it recovers from this upheaval it will be business as usual, they were there long before we joined and despite the wishful thinking of many who believed everything negative about the EU they will be there long afterwards. Now that they have got rid of the one member who was constantly whinging, complaining with demands for special treatment and opt outs. When the EU parliament watches Farage walk out of that door for the last time there will be great joy and cheering. How us British are going to enjoy his antics if/when he gets elected to our parliament.
People keep complaining about the EU being undemocratic, then don't bother voting in the European Parliament elections, leaving the door open for this Farage clown to attend and disrupt instead of someone who might have something constructive to say. The opportunity has always been there to make a difference by voting, bu hardly anyone bothers.

Typical left…..all for free speech and democracy until it doesn't suit them.
It's nothing to do with the left.
People left, right and centre can see the disaster in the making. Hopefully Cameron's successors see it and refrain from invoking article 50 and eventually abandon it.

Stupid is as stupid does...
The creator of the petition for a 2nd EU vote is a Leave campaigner who thought Remain would win
I can only assume that math is not your strong suit.
It's true. It was initiated by a leave campaigner.

The price was similar when I went in Jan.

My goodness ..what's the problem? ...There are 2 years to negotiate the exit from the EU
What I think is unfair is that the UK participates in all international football competitions with separate teams from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
The formal exit process hasn't started yet, and maybe never will..
As for the four nations, football is a British game and the first internationals were between England and Scotland. That tradition is protected by the FIFA charter. And it's not like fans of the teams all like each other.

In More Serious News.....the UK will not take part in the Eurovision Song Contest.......no more Nil Points and Boom bang a bang......
Surely you joke, there is no escape from the Eurovision song contest.
Wogan managed it.

My only gripe with Thai was a very minor thing... On the 777, the seat had no real armrest on one side. On the A380, there was, though the seat was otherwise the same.
Thai in London uses the United lounge, which is nicer than the Air Canada lounge used by EVA.

Words cannot express my Fear and Loathing of what has happened. The very worst elements of our society now feel empowered and will be flexing their muscles. Even the Leave voters who have been so cruelly deceived by the promises of our soon to be dictators will come to rue this day. Britain First will be laughing all the way to the gun shops that will soon be re-opening if the loathsome man Farage has his way. There will be many more Thomas Mairs, and many more victims of hate. Racists and thugs will soon be looking for someone to blame when the golden apples of the sun fail to rain down, and who will they be picking on? Employers will be cutting wages, and turning the clock back to the "Good old days" of mass unemployment, and only the "Right sort of people" will be able to find jobs. The asset stripping of the NHS has already begun, and the carpetbaggers will be moving into the City and the stock market this very morning. A climate of fear, not seen since the great depression and the rise of the Blackshirts, will pervade our society. There will be more Cabal Streets, (alas with no such inspiring results), and any liberal thinkers amongst the judiciary will soon find themselves sidelined and purged. I can only hope that one day the leave voters will understand what they did for their grandchildren yesterday. That they were lied to by people who never had their interests at heart will become apparent all to soon. The NHS will be the first casualty, as Farage took back his false promises within a matter of hours. Be very afraid...
I wouldn't worry too much about Farage. He gets a lot of publicity, but doesn't hold any power. He has 1 seat in parliament and his raison d'etre is now gone.

Cameron took a stupidly huge gamble and lost but the EU must share some of the blame as Britain's were fed up being dictated to by Brussels bureaucrats but before too many Yanks start telling us how 'stupid' we are I don't think the US would ever contemplate joining such a union themselves.
Dude, get a clue. The USA is so HUGE it comprises it's OWN union. You Brits made a mistake. The damage will be massive. Really sorry about that.
Our union's called the Commonwealth.
Yeah, we still have Nigeria and Bangladesh. Now we just need Zimbabwe back on board.

Another downside when flying from BKK to USA through Europe or the Middle East is that you end up traveling with persons from Europe or the Middle East.
People from Europe or the Middle East say exactly the same things about Americans, believe me.

UK leaving the EU dangerous but for who British people ,no way.
EU beurocrats yes, gravy train stops.
UK alone controlling its own affairs, as it used to do, in the days when Britain was great.
Living in a past that never existed.
So the British Empire never existed, ok my history sucks then.
The people wishing to leave are not living in the past but wish to live in the future in a democratic country, theirs!
What is wrong with that?
As for those who wish to continue to live under a non democratic, bureaucratic, financially unaccountable, wasteful EU, fine, their choice.
India isn't going to let the British bleed them dry any more. And I don't see the transatlantic slave trade starting up again either. And as for selling opium to China....
The Brexit campaign have been running a reverse scare campaign. Calling the facts put forward by the remain campaign as scare tactics, while putting forward an emotive campaign short of facts but appealing to the masses.

Seems a bit pointless.
I hope it's a hoax, because it has West Ham at home to Chelsea and Liverpool during the week I plan to be in Bangkok, just as they were in 2013.
-
Actually I have no dislike of West Ham I never understood why the O's wanted to ground share. Still, your porno squad management seem to think that's what is best, so good luck to them.
so your cool with the fa rolling over and allowing west ham and the red neck porno vending midget owners to move into your territory and very much threatening your mid to long term existence?, aka hearn selling,,i really cant see why you would be. Me, i'm pissed with it and i aint an o's fan!!!!, and the reason hearn wanted to move into the stad,, MONEY, low cost high end new accommodation, same as why everybody wanted in
Of course I'm not cool with it but it's got nothing to do with long distant (fond) memories of going to Upton Park quite often. It's a different topic of which I share your sentiments. The deal is done and dusted thanks to good old Boris. I look at the WH owners and want to puke. I just hope the O's can battle on and getting out of Div 2 would be a massive help. Personally, as a fan I prefer to stay where we are, but I'm an old guy rather set in my ways and no doubt if the had got ground share, the younger generation would have loved it. I'm looking forward to the new season and I look forward to two things, the O's going up and WH going down, that would be a season to relish.
Maybe Orient can benefit in some way, such as arranging games to be on the day day at different times so that people can more easily go to both. I'm sure someone is sentimental enough about Kevin Nolan...

I don't see the point in those stores anyway. They'll be quiet most of the year. And everything they sell is available online or at the ground.
WHU see the point, they just don't want to pay for them.
You do know that was a spoof site don't you? There's a good reason the store was shut.
-
Actually I have no dislike of West Ham and have enjoyed going to Upton Park often, not just to see the O's but lots of other games. I used to stand near the half way line, under the stands (opposite the chicken run side) and liked the atmosphere when the ground was full. That compactness made the atmosphere what it was and I really wouldn't want to move to an athletic stadium if I were a WHU supporter. It's not like other clubs who have re-modeled their grounds or had one purpose built, it's an athletic stadium and I never understood why the O's wanted to ground share. Still, your porno squad management seem to think that's what is best, so good luck to them.
How can Brexit possibly trust Boris?
Having been going there since 1975 and having also watched rugby league at the Sydney Olympic stadium which is far too big for most games, I'm expecting it to be shit. But they have installed moveable lower seating and have already essentially sold out for a season at least and are increasing capacity from 60k to 66k (those ones will need the binoculars), so it might be ok. Those who are used to being at the front will be disappointed, but I've been in the upper tier for some years and think it will be similar.

all this talk is pretty cheap. I m different...
Just booked my ticket to SGN.... That's the best argument when discussing the place
In a few weeks I have all the authoritative updates on Pho, sidewalks, bathrooms, those traffic hassles, smelly backpackers, British girls with big butts and boobs down to their knees etc.
Another thing to check out is he attitude of vendors. I've hear they can be really obnoxious if you show interest, but don't buy..
Crossing the road is an interesting experience.. I noticed bikes give way/go around you, but cars (mostly SUVs) don't...

I also had no return ticket to show. After huffing for a few seconds, she let me in and said to remember it next time.
