The terror group needs to be eliminated
Free Gaza from Hamas by blowing up innocent Palestinians with zero oversight (or international media coverage of what's going on). It's sounds like someone is pro "Kill 'em all and let god sort 'em out" 🤔
Israel, as always, starts out doing something that needs to be done, then takes it way, way too far, to the point of committing atrocities on their own. -

...a baht bus driver makes a pittance?
Is it still a scam?
This is tuk tuk, not a baht bus according to the article.
Here's a question: if these drivers are so poor and don't make much money, why do so many of them have massive stereo system, fancy lighting, and all sorts of other 'luxury' additions to their rides? Shouldn't their pittance to towards something like feeding their families and saving for the future? Inquiring minds want to know. 😉 -

He's obviously got mental issues. How sad that so many commenters here ASSUME that he's just being a jerk. He needs medical attention not chastising.

Sponsor tastes nasty and it's full of chemicals. In its natural state, coconut water contains electrolytes such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, and phosphorus. I cycle long distances every day regardless of the heat. I don't get dehydrated. I drink 3 to 4 liters of plain water per day. I eat a banana or two and some coconut water regularly.

I'm by no means a fan of Biden, but my goodness, that statement (if done by an actual human being) is simply absurd.
Biden is at least steadily working for the country. The economy is fine. Corporate greed is keeping prices higher than they should be, but that's not something any president can change.
Meanwhile, the other guy is either playing golf, sitting in court, playing golf and cheating while doing it, or sending mean 'truths'. Name a policy that Trump has proposed other than simply saying 'tax cuts' at his rallies. He has no policies other than revenge and self-preservation from the legal system, period!- 4

... As has been said, washing bedding works when hot water or dryers are used, something which isn't prevalent here. Cold water cleans most things, but lice and mites can survive it.
We have a problem with dust mites and one of our 4 dogs has a terrible time with them on his bedding. Detergent, sadly and as you say, doesn't kill them. We don't have a dryer. So, we have a huge tub and make a bunch of hot water to soak the bedding it. It's a lot of work, but it's effective.

You can't fully block GammaGlobulin as far as I can tell, but if you hover your mouse over his/her avatar and click on 'ignore', you have the option of ignoring his/her comments, messages, and posts. I'm not sure how to do this on a mobile, but I'm sure the option is there.

Try Loei province, years ago it was in the middle of nowhere, little amenities for the westerners. Today the city of Loei has its own airport, Makro, Lotus, Big C, Global, cycling club, gym clubs, football club, aerobics/yoga. Many foreigners like Loei because it has seasons, in winter can be cold (not for long) Mountains close to Lao border
My wife and I visited Loei last year as part of a multi-destination Isan trip. We love visiting Isan. It's such a refreshing change from Phuket and very affordable. My main concern would be medical facilities. That's a big part of what I like about Phuket.
BTW, we visited Phu Wiang, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Loei, and Chiang Khan on this particular vacation. It was a wonderful trip! We're off to Udon Thani and Nong Khai later this month. My favorite hotel in Thailand is the Amman Unique Hotel in Udon Thani. It's like a 5-star-ish hotel at 3-star prices. The location is wonderful and the restaurant is really good too.- 2

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you're posting nonsense.
I added him/her to my 'ignore' list as anyone who would say something like that is not likely to ever post anything worth reading. 😉
There is, of course, a smorgasbord of expats here. Yes, some are dreadful and others are delightful. There is a bunch in the middle. It's the way reality works in most destinations I'm guessing. -

Friendly, honest, considerate, interested in local culture, financially stable and willing to support local business... stuff like that. None are barflies or here for the sex trade... stuff like that. 😊

I've been to Phuket a few times and thought it was nice enough.
I'm always amused when people things like "Phuket, or Bangkok, or Pattaya or Chiang Rai is not Thailand." Of course they're not Thailand. But they are all part of Thailand. I think I would be happy living most anywhere in Thailand. I've been a lot of places, and I like Bangkok.
I'm sure there are positives and negatives to every place. If I really didn't like here, I'd move. I fully understand why my friends are leaving. They have NOTHING tying them here. Four of them have only lived here for a couple of years.

My friends are leaving, I'm not. I still have plenty of very good friends here.
There are a lot of things that I like about Phuket. I also live in a nice part of town, so it's not touristy. I'm semi-retired and in the tourism business. Business is doing great. I'll fully retire in a couple of years. If Phuket keeps heading in the direction it's heading, I'll consider moving off the island. Phang Nga Town seems like a good option and it is still within easy striking distance of Phuket.- 2

I go cycling all over the country. The last few years have focused on Isan. I loved Lamphun for cycling. It's such a lovely area. The people were very friendly and, of course, there was plenty of great food. I just don't think I could live in such a quiet place. I like the idea of if, but I'm not sure if I could actually do it.

I wonder how many people will buy the new houses/villas being built all over the island. Chern Talay is one of the worst traffic areas on the island. And, it's bad at any time of the day. Surely, a potential buyer would visit first. If they do, they WILL get stuck in traffic. I believe a lot of these new places won't be sold.

I've lived in Patong in 1993 for a year, then Ao Nang for three years, and Phuket Town for the rest of my 31 years in Thailand. I'm kind of stuck here due to business. Phuket also has great doctors and dentists here. I have a serious health problem and my doctor is awesome. I'm sure there are good doctors in other parts of the country, but I'm reluctant to start searching.
Phuket has improved in food options, but not much else. It's only going to get worse. The next time Mother Nature doesn't supply us with enough water, this will be a major disaster... and almost everything being built is a POOL VILLA. Guess what pools use?
Anyway, I guess I'll just keep riding my motorbike instead of my nice truck so I can actually get around.- 4

Six of my very good friends have had enough of Phuket and all six are leaving because of traffic. Another friend and his family of four just bought a house a relocated here from the UK. After just a few months, they are already looking for ways to leave.
How many of you have lost friends due to the 'progress' going on in Phuket?- 4

I'm not a Biden fan at all. However, this does NOT address the issue of how well he's doing his job and what he has personally screwed up. Also, I've heard the other side talk too. It's embarrassing, to put it mildly. I want new candidates.

The US military is perfectly capable of bungling things on its own. They have a long history of it. BTW, what has the president bungled? Facts only, please... and things that are entirely under his control.

Threads like this are useful in thinning out future comments on similar subjects by certain individuals. Of course, you can say whatever you want. I don't have to waste my time reading it. I'm not canceling anyone. I'm taking action to ignore people who I consider very poor sources of reliable information. I'm not here for opinions.
FYI, I'm not a Biden fan by any stretch of the imagination, but the alternative is truly an embarrassment to my nationality. And yes, I know, that's my opinion. 😉
Hint for anyone else who wants to remove certain posters: If you hover a mouse over their avatar you'll see an option to 'ignore' that person. You then have the option to ignore posts, comments, and messages.- 4

I was only going by what our lawyer said. I'm NOT a lawyer. I doubt many of the comments here are from lawyers.
I mentioned NOTHING about doing anything ILLEGAL. I wouldn't dream of testing the legal system here and neither would my wife. She has money. If, in fact, all of this has to go through the courts, then that's fine. I'll check with our lawyer again and specifically ask about the courts needing to get involved before the money can be distributed. That's all that needs to be said on this subject.- 1
