  1. So, you have never owned a real MG yet you call them rubbish and unreliable, Don....Thank you....????
  2. You sound like nobody ever breaks down, but bruvs MG was rubbish because it did. My friends MG ZS power steering failed, taken away on a truck, is that a rubbish MG too.. PS. Power steering failure is pretty rare too.....
  3. Are you saying MGB/C/BV8, TR7, or even Austin Healey 3000 and even the E-Type Jag are not sports cars, well what are they then..? You reckon sports cars are your 6/7 litre and up are, that's daft. Most of the USA performance cars were 4 seaters, AND where did the AC Cobra and GT40's originate, the UK, designed and built to take the USA Ford V8's..
  4. I did the same with mini engine and box combo, but stood on the bonnet rests, and lifted it up, and on my own too......????
  5. Tell us more, did the gearbox fall off, did the axle give up, or did bruv not check the ignition points at the correct intervals......???? The problem with some of you slagging off MG's of yesteryear, is that many of us ol' Brits actually owned them and know the ins & outs of them. I will be honest and say that rust was a problem, BUT, I can't think of any ride of the era didn't have the same problem, even the mighty Aston Martin had a chassis that fell apart with rust, I have seen it with my own eyes......
  6. So you never had one or toyed with one....???? The MGB and Midget's were one of the easiest rides to look after or service, so I don't know where you are coming from.... Late 60's, two girls in our click had a Midget and Sprite, sorry, but your friends must have been pretty useless at car stuff....????
  7. Wow........just imagine what would happen if they tried to tackle NATO conventionally.....????
  8. Well yes, the cars we have been talking about have them, just querying your MG chassis thingy......????
  9. Once again, you seem to know little. Click on the pdf link on the bottom of the link page..Then read it... https://www.ancap.com.au/safety-ratings/suzuki/celerio/564458
  10. My involvement in this thread is the usage of the MG brand name for a cheap Chinese car, that's it.... Everything on the planet has something Chinese in it, you are barking up the wrong tree...
  11. Nothing to be angry about, automotive engineering has moved on, the same as onboard tech, no comparison unless one is into tweaking the old stuff. Factory 3.5 V8 Rover, for its time a beast, 145hp....????
  12. No joke, I have never been in or know anyone, except you, with an MG HS. I will have to remember. That reminds me, mum bought a tweaked BL Maxi, twin carbs etc from factory, I was surprised it wasn't badged MG, they badged it HLS....????
  13. Is that what MG sales told you....? I recall looking into the Chinese brand Chery, they have a ride identical to the ZS 1500cc, but has a 1500cc with turbo that gives 145hp (I think), and compared it to the non-turbo 1500cc ZS, which develops 112hp... ????
