  1. This may sound crazy but you might want to give it a try since it's easy, quick, and couldn't hurt. Switch to a different internet connection if possible or turn off/on your router/modem. Do this even if your internet browsing/emailing is OK.

I access the internet through my mobile hotspot rather than a router/modem. I did, however, remove the SIM card from the mobile, placed it in a dongle and then accessed the internet again through that to see if this made any difference. It didn't.

If you have Settings/Time & language/Region & language//Country or region/ set to a country other than Thailand, try changing that to Thailand, reboot and run updates again.

If the updates then complete, afterwards you can revert to the previous country setting and future updates should still download OK.

My setting was already to Thailand.

It's to do with a previously failed attempt to download updates.

To fix, Right click on your C drive and select Tools

You're looking for "Disk Cleanup" and then "Cleanup system Files"

in the list is something you need to select like "previous system updates" - i'm at work so cant refer to a windows 10 device right now, but I have resolved a situation like you are experiencing now.

Right-clicked on C drive, then clicked on General tab followed by Disk Cleanup icon. Ran the disk cleanup after checking all unchecked boxes, but this did not solve the problem for me

Did you select the "clean system files" button at the bottom of the dialog ?

  3. I have learnt "the fold" as i also miss decent toilet paper.

Pull off 5 sheets. fold into a V to the top overlaps by about an inch. Bring the bottom of the V up to the top - decent ply and no unintentional finger penetration :)

  4. Hi,

Thanks, but no, the wife was not flying with me this time. I had an entire row so spent most of the time led down.

There is no burning, it's more the full bladder sensation you get when you need to pee. I've already had 2ltr of water since 3.am, and just got some cranberry. Excuse the pun, it's a right pain.

  5. I got back to UK yesterday after a lovely 14 hours with TG. Got back at 09:30, by 13:00 I started to get a really annoying pain in my bladder, feels like i'm holding in a pee, but nothing there.

This has continued overnight up until now. I'm wondering, could this have been caused by drinking a lot of water on the flight?

    Cheers

  6. I've been "close" to an incident like this. It would help to know what time this happened. If it was night time, i'd put money on the Thai vessel having no navigation aids, and the captain was probably enjoying a few jars.

The super yacht would have had a manned bridge, and radar i guess. Paying for compensation would be normal practise, and a nice gesture from the captain, as this would be the Thai subsistence method.

  7. They are constructing a new road in my area which was started 6 months ago and is not yet complete and already they have had to come back to fill in pot holes and new pot holes show up weekly. Thailand has no clue on how to construct roadways.

I really disagree with this. My village's roads were raised and resurfaced some 12 years ago (concrete) - Not one pot hole or crack so far. I guess it's down to workmanship and materials.....

I better add, since the horrible view blocking condos behind ChocolateVille have gone up, we get a lot of heavy trucks come through shifting dirt. Roads are not affected...

  8. I was drugged once about 25 years ago in Pattaya. I donot drink so not sure how they got it in me but they had me chewing gum a lot. Kept giving me gum. I was out for 25 hours should have killed me.Did police report never heard a thing. this was back when 3 or 4 deaths a week were happening in pattaya in similar ways. All attributed to heart failure.Young guys old guys and all in between heart failure.

    Your imagination.

Do you suffer from paranoia ?

That's something like 1990 - I think Pattaya was "happening" a long time before then.....

  9. I've bought two Thinkpads that have been reconditioned (Office/Corporate end of life) - i5/4GB's really good condition for about 7000 baht a pop from a guy on ebay - "newandusedlaptops4u" is his ebay id.

I put an SSD in each and installed Windows 10 - brilliant devices for the family.
